oh how lovely.

Bee Arrr Beee

yeah, i've tried the manufacturer's diag tool, it came back clean.  the MB is actually an abit, and since they folded their site is crap.  So no diag tools from them, nor firmware.
The drive i put in is IDE and there''s only 1 slot on the board for it, the rest are sata. i doubt there are converters for it.

it reads: The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Ide\IdePort0.  I know it related to the internal HD i just put in.

Question is, is the controller on the MB side, or the device side?

you don't hafta actually enter this, right?  You just kinda... exist and you're in?

i never did understand why blizz completely did away with earning weapons through the honor system. It just got cut off at lvl 60.

zomg, those power puff girls look so hawt all grown up!!

The AQ40 mounts do count towards this figure.  I have also heard that they will be able to be used outside of AQ once the actual expansion hits.

yeah, don't see it happening.

WoW has been around 6 years?

heh,suckers.

ok, i think i understand some of the controversy. There's going to less limits on the killing of other players?

That can't be right, it sounds like the desrciption of some Asain based games.

That is quite true Samurai, then again while freedom is scary, the gank squads are even scarier.

From what we can tell from the website the game has no consequences for killing and a significant death penalty.  NO game, to date, has survived such a scenario, not to say that this game can't, just that it is unlikely.

I can remember some of the best times I had in a game were in the original UO, but at least that game had some form of consequence even then, as the bad guys turned red, you won't even be able to pick out the bad guys in Darkfall.

So while everyone gets excited about finally seeing this game, I wonder if it can succeed in the current state.   Another problem with these games, people will flock to the winning side, hence if they allow large guilds, you will end up with a few guilds dominating and the rest of them leaving.   They need to keep guilds small and not allow alliances.

We will have to wait and see, but the picture is not as rosy as some of these posters would like you to think.

This is a quite misinformed post.... Its pretty evident that you've done no research into the game nor read anything on the forums.

With that said, everything in the above quote is wrong. All those things are/will be in the game.

You didn't exactly add anything.  What was so wrong about that guy's post?

So i'm wondering what's so 'Controversial' about this game.  Anyone got a link or feel like typing out an example?

heh,  That's one more addon off the list.

There is so much potential to this news. Gives me hope for the future.

At the same time i dread the fact that it may be a complete failar.

This game has SOOO much potential it's scary.  Right at this moment it falls plenty short, however.

From a graphics standpoint it's perhaps just a smidge below winning out.  I get the feeling they put more work into the mobs/creatures than player armor though. Or perhaps equal effort rather than the emphasis on Player Character that we're used to.

Anyways, the thing that really hurts this game is the Game Mechanics.  They're crappy.  Jumping is purely cosmetic. And while every race does it damn well, i have no use for uselless features. The part that Really annoys me, is all the damn force fields everywhere. This might take some explaning, so bear with me.

On all the mmo's that i've played (Daoc, Coh, Anarchy Online, Wow), you've always had a free-roaming world to wander in. Sure there might be zone lines, places where there's litteraly nothing else past. Not like they stuck Impassible walls in the middle of Main Street, right?

Not quit so in RF.  Say you're heading out of a base for the first time.  You're stomping along, takeing it all in and you start up a small hill. You notice on the other side that it slopes down a lot more than comming up. Not like a Cliff for anything, but yer probably gonna catch some air hoppin down. Now crest the hill, ready to keep on keepin' on and BANG!  You stop. For no freakin reason at all.  Shift to the left, same thing. Try to the right, ummm yeah. So there you go, all the way Back down the incline you Just came up, to find the "Kosher" way to get to the Other Side.

and yes, if phenimona is found all over the game. Don't you dare try and step over the bottom edge of that ramp.  Yeah, that's what i thought. Take yo ass all the way down and do it the right way.

i don;t know about quitting totally, but i haven't felt any reason to renew my account.

Maybe one of the other patch will actually bring me back. <shrugs>
