LOL, April Fools on me I suppose. A Darkfall fan criticizing a game for being pushed back and calling it vaporware couldn't be anything else but a joke.

 AoC is actually in beta. Believe it or not, some games actually make it to that stage.

Funcom has actually released games. Can you say the same for the devs making Darkfall? Then again, that's kind of hard when you don't have a publisher.

 

Hmmm, Aventurine is publishing in one region. If its Europe or North-America is still to be seen. So in fact they have a publisher. Thought you knew that.

Originally, Aventurine was set up to develop and publish Darkfall so they've never been without a publisher really, despite what the trolls claim.

Darkfall was designed as a PvP game from the ground up!

If you don't want to play PvE in Darkfall then just whack moat-rats outside a racial capital instead.

I enjoyed the kicks they delivered to AoC. I remember when someone posted a link to a Darkfall vid in the AoC forums and some AoC dev or other jumped on it claiming they wouldn't achieve a fraction of what they planned, claimed  that Aventurine would be conning people with pre-orders and such like.

and to the poster that said war is a wow clone, its actually closer to the other way around blizzard tried to make a game using the warhammer ip first. when it wasn't alowed to it made two simmilar games warcraft and starcraft the rest as you say is history

I've noticed that it's mostly AoC fans who decry Darkfall as 'vapourware'. Don't know why. Some of them may be thinking that Darkfall is threatening 'their' game so they crap on Darkfall at every opportunity.

They really should be worrying about WAR instead IMO.

They showed the interface in that leaked alpha video like in 2003ish. It has working combat, spells, chat box, health bar, mini-map and hot-bar.

That video you linked to is a LOCATION video and not a combat video.

They released something like 40 screen shots yesterday too, which is unheard of for Aventurine.
