Looking at this pic, are you really suggesting this looks like a game of 10-years ago? High res textures aren't even in yet. Lighting and shadows are going to be tweaked. The texture blurring is still an issue but it's something Mythic openly recognizes as a problem and commented on getting it fixed. It's a beta! http://img54.imageshack.us/my.php?image=alakbwix0.jpg

Believe me, a little rain or bad weather isn't going to take a datacenter down. That's for sure. |

OB isn't until Sunday. If you were lucky enough to get in to PW, then your account was flagged and you were allowed in to PW+, which that started today. I would imagine only those flagged for preview weekend can patch at this point. |

I say that in past tense because after preview weekend, it changed the way I felt about PvP. I had an absolute blast doing RvR. For the first time, I comitted to a play style that I always bypassed in other MMOs. There are many more like myself. If anything, I think WAR bridges this gap and makes the experience fun and rewarding. I say if you don't like PvP, then definitely give WAR a chance because it may change the way you feel about PvP like it did for me. I had a great time and it left me wanting more when the weekend was over.

WTF are you going on about exactly?! Maturity is about respecting peoples opinions whether you agree with them or not. A lot of nerve you have to post in such a tone and preach adulthood. And what do you know about running a business? Obviously nothing. The worst thing you could do is take the stance that you described. The gaming community is a devs greatest resource and to ignore that community is virtual suicide! Teach them a lesson....HAH! There is a lesson to be learned here and it's not the community that should be paying special attention to it.

Spin? That's funny. The guy called it like it was while all those commenters were yelling, DIE HERETIC! Period! You're making this a bigger issue than it needs to be.

This is the guy that goes on and on about how AoC runs like butter on his rig and without any major issues. Post after post he chimes in about how well AoC runs. Out of the blue, a WAR post pops up. He then proceeds to wish that WAR would suffer the same fate as AoC. Make up your mind! |

Instead of fixing the damn game or even locking the instance in question, for example, they'd rather gamble on alienating it's customer base. |

We're still dealing with banning issue as of today. A few nights ago, a guild member got some guildies together, spammed LFG until his fingers were numb and was able to get a 24-person pug group together for a raid on Yak's Cave. Mind you, this raid was a first for most of the people in this group. No more than 10-minutes into the raid, people began getting DC'd and when attempting to log back in, were informed that their account had been banned. Auto emails were sent out and the ban was for 7-days...not 1. Reason? Initially, no one knew why because the emails never stated why. Everyone was totally confused soon after the bans began taking place. PM's were sent to Famine because he wouldn't allow discussion on the matter in the forums; emails were sent to GM's and FC support. I was determined later on that most of this 24-person group was banned for 'exploiting terrain'. No warning was ever given by the GM. Had the GM done so, I can guarantee people would have regrouped and tried something else. The problem is, there is no 'something else'. According to the most that I have spoken to (guildies and alliance guild members that were in my ts server at the time), no one had any clue that the strat they were executing would be deemed an exploit. According to many, this strat is the only way you can take the boss down because of the amount of minions this boss spawns. I hear it's endless. There are pics of hundreds of minions at one point. The strat has something to do with a ledge. I haven't been in there as I have canceled my account. Anyway, most emails have been ignored. The emails that were replied to basically said deal with it. Any appeal to the ban has been rejected. It was pointed out the the group was taking damage and dying once the boss was pulled. It wasn't like they were glitching the boss and not in the fight. This group had a fight on it's hands and no one trying to avoid damage. During the bans, the GM had to have known people were on the floor dead. Combat logs would have shown damage being taken by the group. In another fiasco, one of my members was reinstated (he found out by accident when trying to log in) and then rebanned. This member was helping an alliance member out by giving him some info to include in an email for an appeal. He forwarded an email to the alliance member to include. The GM responded to the alliance member with a 'tough shit' attitude and told the alliance member that unbanning my member was a mistake and proceeded to reban him. Lots of other shit has taken place but I won't continue to bore you with those details. Lots of people are still banned to this day, no refunds for the 7-days will be issued (these people can't play for 7 days not even on alts. This is an account ban) and many have already quit this disaster of a game. I wasn't in this group but I quit out of principle. Fix your game before taking measures like this. Rein in on those heavy handed GM's or else you bite the hand that feeds you.
