I've got 60 hours in DAO. Only 45% done. No problems to report. The RPG tops my list. I will definitely be getting TOR come release.

An incredible RPG. Everything about it screams quality. Loving every minute of it. The fact that Bioware made a proper PC version is commendable in this day and age of consolitis.

This video brings my expectations of this game higher than i would ever of thaught they could go!

Anyone know the soundtrack to this vid?

Gimme That Punk - Audio Bullys

This game can't get here soon enough.

I really hope they tone down the squirrely car mechanics and over -the-top ragdoll physics.

Honestly i happy its gone cause frankly it was useless. However, It has always been mad easy to stop the errors 99% of the time all you have to do is turn off virus protection and BAM it works perfectly. People really are not very smart.

I'd have to say 1/10 if you had to turn off ANY of your virus and/or firewall protections.  They are there for a reason, not to bring down each time you want to play your game ;)

Who games with AV running anyway? I have been gaming for a long time and have never run AV in the background while gaming. I have never been infected due to a game. No wonder people complain about frame rate issues, lag, horrible load times and whatnot. The real-time scanner is going nuts.

Man, some of you take this stuff way to serious! I'm glad I never watched much TV. Personally, lore = bore. Make a fun game and let's call it a day. I could care less about how closely this follows that or how that ties into this. Just make a great game that the majority will have fun playing, profit and support the title. All I want to do is have some FUN. And from the looks of it, this may fit the bill.

The only thing I'm hyped about is more info. I won't go beyond the point of curiosity just yet.

so when is this thing suppose to be released anyway? i haven't even heard of it before so i'm assuming it's still in an alpha/closed beta state.

There's a big reveal this weekend at PAX. We'll have to wait and see just how revealing it is.

CG is so overrated
it doesnt tell us anything abt gameplay
and thats the most important aspect of any MMO

It's a teaser. Key word there. It's not supposed to reveal much.

It may be Funcom, but more specifically, it's from Ragnar Tornquist, who made The Longest Journey and Dreamfall. If he's the driving force for this MMO, I'll definitely give it a shot.

^ This. Both great games. I surely have my eye on it.

Initiate of the Dragons. Knowledge is power.

Looking forward to more info as time goes on.

Spider i know what it is you and me have total different likes in games, for example your sig has the witcher which i bought 50 dollars and played for 2 days and uninstall it if you want it i will give it to you for free cause its just another pcdvd game that collects dust in my house for no reason.

Look....I don't even play GW. I haven't played it in years. It has nothing to do with likes or dislikes. It all has to do with the popularity of the first game. It's not about you and I. It's about a games loyal following.

And hype does not constitute success. The game could be utter fail for all we know. What we do know is people have faith in the developers due to the success of GW. They are expecting another successful go at this. The changes they are proposing have the fans welcoming it. You're making GW out to be a total failure when it wasn't. It was a failure in your eyes but again, you don't represent the fan base or that hype meter. Popular games tend to have good  followings when sequels are announced.

Edit: You didn't like The Witcher?! Your loss. Let me guess....it was fail to because you say it is. Please.

Thanks for starting this :) as soon as saw the hype chart and gw2 being 1st with big difference I thought not to visit this site anymore, I remembered playing gw and got so dissappointed and now the sequel has high hype....Just to give you a heads up tho, only reason is cause people are cheap and don't want to pay2play monthly, they prefer to play crapy games and not to pay then an awsome game that charges monthly.

That's the dumbest drivel I've seen in a long time.

and you are an idiot ... thats how you argue just talking shit, guess what stfu mofo

Pot...meet Kettle. Say you don't like GW, that's fine. But your little 'heads up' shows just how little your head is.

Dude that game is not even an mmorpg shouldnt even show in this forum, you get level cap (20) in 1 day is not RPG at all, and you can equip 8 skills that sounds more like a fps then rpg, plus gameplay was so ugly even if it was mmorpg I would refuse to play it. By the way you get what you pay and that game offers you what a free monthly game would offer you a pile of shit.

Okay...so you don't like it. Fine. You don't view the game as many others do. That's alright. You do not represent the hype meter though. Just because you say it's crap doesn't make it so. The game has entertained many, many players and as such, the sequel will have a decent following. The OP asked why it's so hyped and that's because the game was a huge success. It all makes sense in the end. You, on the other hand, do not.

Zero information, huh?

Did ever cross your mind that the hype is up because the first one was popular, entertaining and fun to play? Probably not.

Instances will be used for important storyline shifts that could not take place in a persistent world. The limitations of doing missions in a persistent world would suck and make them like any old quest in other MMO's. Have the very large majority of the world persistent, whilst reserving instances for missions and dungeons only is awesome.

No quests?

Edit: Never mind... wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/GW2

Event System.
