looks like theres a lot of new baby trolls trouncing for a first lick of flame here.

I'm not going to try to twist it like a WaR fanboy, They added stealth, oh well, the optimism of no stealth was fun while it lasted. I actually have to agree with Pheace here, and say we just can't trust what the Devs always spoon feed into our mouths. Am I mad? Yea a little, I mean I've had bad run ins with stealth but haven't we all at some point? At least they've had the smarts to give it a time limit so you don't have spend your time going around trying to hunt them down.

It is really annoying that it's pushed back AGAIN, but whatever, at least I'll be able to get more money for a better comp and whatnot.

I just got Sins of a Solar Empire and Sim City 4 so I think that'll hold me over for a while.

Swedish retail store Spelbutiken.se has accidently leaked details of the content that comes with Warhammer Age Of Reckoning Collector's Edition. The story is passed around from site to site, but as of now nothing is confirmed yet.

This is what you apparently get with WAR C.E.

In-Game:

* 12 exclusive quests (two for each army)12 exclusive quest rewards (one for each quest)
* 12 exclusive character heads
* Special player title
* 30 days of free game play

In-Box:

* Game on 2 DVDs
* Manual
* Exclusive Mousepad
* WAR Graphic Novel
* Art Book/Atlas
* Exclusive Warhammer Miniature

It should also be noted that few retailers have listed a selling price of $150 for CE of WAR, such as this site, while at the same time some sites list it at $80.

Man to me the In-box stuff excites me a little more than the In-game stuff.

30 free days of gameplay is nice though.

Are you suggesting this is your first MMO? :)

Any MMO box sale always comes with a free 30 days except for expansions usually.

I'm more of an art monkey than an MMOer so things like artbooks and graphic novels excite me a little more than exclusive heads and quests.

But indeed, at this stage still only showing Concept Art makes people wonder if they ever gonna launch at all.

Cheers

You do know that most concept art was done way back in alpha right? Probably the main reason why they still add it is because there's some of us out there in the gaming world who actually likes to look at concept art. I know I do and I love that Mythic is still posting making it so they have a huge selection of it. I hate games that have really cool design layouts and renders but never back it up with concept art :P

Wonder why all posters claiming JGE community is not horrible , but it is me who is just bad repping them for nothing - are people with 1-10 posts on this forums ?

Make a guess

I've been registered here for years, I just don't post on their forums. Well, except for "special" people.

Or when you have to defend your bully crew from JGE forums ?

Actually it's just lurking, because they know hot to keep their mouths shut.

In many many years of gaming i never seen more hostile horrible community. Basically the forums there are taken over by ex Jumpgate classic players. Old Jumpgate is, and never was a sucesfull game - and it was played by  a handfull of hardcore entusiasts. ( Also known to repetedly gank newcomers to game
to such a degree that even game developers begged them to stop, because they were driving away what was allready small player base. Some people even claim JGC failed because of the bad rep caused by them )

This group of people has now taken over JGE forums. Their goal is to harass any poster recommending anything new or any change or evolvment of JGE from its old classic. Any post with new idea or something different to what they knew and are used to in the classic game, are met not by arguments but straight personal insults.

So if you are new player. Interested in JGE (like i was) I advice you to spare your time and avoid the said forums.

My only hope is that this attempt to ruin any potential of this up comming game will not succeed, and that
the developers will realize they are dealing with loud and aggressive minority that will do world of hurt to the game and the fan base it is hoping to achieve...

So far they lost one...

Hmm well lets see what you have posted on this topic at Netdevil first so we can see both sides of the story shall we?

community.netdevil.com/showthread.php

community.netdevil.com/showthread.php

Hmm about 3 threads just about Avatar animations with you attacking posters who replied with the whole "if you have avatars I'll kill you yada yada yada".

So this makes any pity you're trying to get from anyone worthless since you're just attacking right back. Maybe if you didn't resort to flinging the venom right back. How noble of you.

It seemed like you knew very well what you were going to get into when you were going in to post those avatar threads, a community who doesn't want any fluff what so ever. I think you've commited an act of forum stupidity here.

Sorry but this statement I see far too much, and people always use it wrong.

WoW didn't nail "cartoonish" artwork, they nailed a pretty decent looking game with a very low polygon count.

Cell shading is the type of computer generated artwork you should be talking about if your going to talk about cartoonish textures,artwork,graphics etc...

if you're going to argue about graphics and artwork, at least look into the types before you even start to bang your fists on the keyboard and produce threads like these.

IMO the beta for this game is going to suck in that AOC will be released when it goes out into Open beta. Poeple will have to balance the race to lvl 80 AOC and Test out War's Beta fully. If this happens I for one will most likely stick to playing AOC and WoW as I will have no time for all 3.    This is assuming that AOC isn't another Vangaurd.

Edit: Spelling

Uhm what the hell are you trying to point out exactly?

what are you talking about? game companies do this sort of stuff all the time.

And Abnett for the fucking win, he writes great Warhammer novels.

You're right, aside from being slightly similar looking, they have a totally different game design.  Of course WAR does have that RvR game, maybe Blizz can borrow that aspect for their game?  Considering the above list I think it's only fair.

How does PreCU SWG stack up against that list?  Or UO?  Or Everquest?  Or EvE?  Or any damn game made before WoW exploded?

But then I am one of those speacial ed dropouts what needs to go back to tha skool ta do som mor booke learnin before i can learn what the word "copy" means.

I think you do because you list mostly things that all mmos copy one time or another.
 please fail somewhere else.

Q2 release is still only a speculation not a fact . And sorry if you can't tell a difference between scripted instanced raid mobs and actual players.

Other than the lighting it don't really look at all like Gears.

Gears bodies look A LOT more clunkier than this guy, of course thats due to the armor or whatever, but it's still not comparable.

To me this is render of cgi trailers like WoW's, WaR's, AoC's, etc...

That is some bad ass looking artwork I have to say his other works are amazing as well.

And he's Brazilian which just shows the huge range of Warhammer's fan base.

if this is about all the screenies with the same looking faces don't worry, that usually add all the facial, characterization features in till about the middle or end of the beta.
