I recently decided to come back to Lord of the Rings Online with my sister, me and her had been having trouble finding a game we could both agree on playing. So yesterday as fate would have it i was at gamestop and found 2 copies of the complete collection of the game for 10 dollars. Im really impressed with the current condition of the game. It seems extremely polished compared to the first time played it. The community has been extremely helpful considering I dont remeber anything about the game. (its been over a year since i logged on).I think the game is extremely fun to play with a small group of people and since the community is so friendly getting groups together has been easy and stress free. I dont like games where being in a group stresses me out and if i make one mistake i will be kicked or yelled at. Just thought id share my experience with the game and say im having a great time starting up again. If you want to play together anytime my name is Urgonex on Brandywine but ill probably be leveling fairly slow and taking my time.

Yep it's fun until you try to do a Book quest and there isn't a group to be had for it, or if you find one they rush through before you can actually see whats there, then you have the whole gated gear fiasco at end game.

It truly amazes me the amount of Hucksterism and yellow journalism that takes place in the gaming media.

Blizzard plans to announce a all new high in sub numbers in February of 13.5 million worldwide subscribers, I know this because my wife works for Kontera they are already working on the banner ad campaign that announces this and WoW's upcoming 21 day free trial offer. That’s 13.5 mil which is growing not shrinking. Face it WoW is poised to be the number one MMO for the next five years, as there just isn’t any serious competition. Oh and before you call me a WoW fanboi I played it back in 2005, I'm a EQ2 fanboi these days.

Will this magical patch raise the collective IQ's of the foul mouthed  Dumbasses that play this game, or set on fire the pedobears who play just to hook up with Eleven year old boys?

Aion has the single biggest collection of Asshats in any game anywhere period. Diametrically PW has one of the most friendly helpful communities out there, the main reason is the greed factor has been taken out, I have played both, and while neither is my main MMO I will take PW over Aion any day.

My god the stupid is strong in this thread. To me this is yet more proof that WoW has some of the most crybaby Asshat players out there. These complete and utter waste of skin crying about this vanity pet are the same assholes who blew Ezra shit because of the act of kindness Blizzard and make a whish provided. One of my guild mates twelve year old daughter has gotten fucking death threats in tell simply because she had her new Padarain out in Stormwind. This is a fucking game morons and it's a business, if Blizzard wants to make every item buyable they will. The only two reasons anyone would have an issue with this is 1: They are pissed because the item is available to anyone with 10.00 to spare or 2: they are too ghetto to afford it. No other reason is logical. So in the end if you don't like it don't fucking buy it, and stop blowing cancer patients a little girls shit because they have something that you don't.

I don't think the beauty was ever in question.....it was the total lack of interesting things to do or places to visit, endless vistas with zero content makes Homer go somthing somthing.

God I wish they would overhaul their welcome backs and trials. In both cases you need a CC, and they usually get charged (most of the time double)  way before The Free part ends.....no other Mythic game is like this and it really turns off potential players.  My guild would have gotten five new players if not for dealing with this BS.

Why QQ over it? I still play UO, when something better comes along I'll switch nothing has yet.

Apparently pvp is changed in 1.5 so no ganking.  Perhaps someone else can give the specifics on it but I'm pretty sure that's the deal.

Yes it basically gimps the hell out of the Rifts system and kills force PVP, it's why I cancelled my Pre Order. Carebears win again.

I canceled  my Pre order as well...they killed force PVP, and Care Beared the Rift system so it is nearly impossible to gank. If I wanted a safe no risk game I would play hello kitty Island adventure.

It Had 3.5 million before folks found out that NCsoft did a bait and switch. They  took the PVP game cut it's throat and left it in a alley...They have nerfed it so bad that it is damn near impossible to Rift gank now. real gamers (notice I said real gamers not Carebears) will not stand for this and they will vote with their wallets.

It's going to be interesting to see if the company can survive another MMO shutdown, but things are not looking good core players canceling their pre orders left and right..the game getting more Craebear with each patch..dark days ahead for Ncsoft.
