Star Wars: The Old Republic: Subscriptions Declining Says Analyst
News Discussion « General Discussion 4/19/12 12:03:26 PM
SWTOR doesn't have 1.7 million subs, doesn't have 1.2 million, they are sitting on about 650k subs right now and it continues to drop. After the 6 month subs run out, and games like D3, TERA, GW2 and Secret World release SWTOR will be lucky to hold onto 300k subs. |

Major patch 1.2 bugs prompt unscheduled server maintenance
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 4/13/12 11:17:11 AM
Must have been some pretty nastty bugs because they are actually rolling back parts of patch 1.2 and having to rebuild some areas of the game. They are now saying that the servers will be down until the situation is resolved.
Incoming free time for all - I see this in your future if you play SWTOR. |

Wait...waht? It's only been a short time ago(I mean like what - 7 days!) that you proclaimed this game the best MMO to come out since WoW. ::boggle:: http://www.mmorpg.com/discussion2.cfm/post/4863929#4863929

EVE Online: CSM Chairman Announces Resignation, Issues Apology
News Discussion « General Discussion 3/28/12 10:14:37 PM
This is what happens when you let asshats in your game run it. It is like Lord of the Flies in a prison setting. When the prison allows the inmates to run the prison. This is what happens. Now he threatens to take down the game. CCP should ban him and the players of Goonswarm for life from EVE. |

What exactly does the title of the article have to do with contents of it? All you covered was graphics, combat, leveling, exploring. So besides that and the lackluster pvp aspects - where is all the stuff players can do?

Future Timeline is one of the most fascinating websites.
Off-Topic Discussion « General Discussion 3/27/12 12:43:51 PM
Some of these things are not far off. To see what I mean, I recommend these websites and watching what goes on there. The future is more easily predicted because we have a better understanding and knowledge of the universe around us, and that knowledge is growing exponentially. If you have any websites that give insight into what science is doing today or what the future holds, please feel free to add to this conversation. |

If you have ever played EVE you know this type of behavior is not uncommon. In fact I would go so far to say that it is actually condoned by CCP(despite their saying otherwise) and many of players that play the game. |

Future Timeline is one of the most fascinating websites.
Off-Topic Discussion « General Discussion 3/25/12 3:18:01 PM
It wasn't long ago that I wrote an article about how humans will eventually meld with machines and then eventually become extinct. As we race faster ahead technologically we'll spend more time in virtual worlds and synthetic bodies(bodies so real you cannot tell them apart from a body produced the old fashioned way - the difference being that the synthetic body will be free of diseases, cancer, and easily repaired or replaced). Anyway...here is a great website that tries to look into a distant future based on what is happening now and the immediate future and then tries to expound upon the knowledge by looking at our past and how we have advanced to where we are today. Future Timeline <<< clicky Though there are a number of things at this website I take issues with, I think from the many other websites like it I have come across, this one takes you right to the end of the Universe itself. ^_^ If we are to see possible timeline such as this occur, we as a human species will first have to throw of the rediculous notions of tribalism, religion, and nationality. |

ArenaNet aren't messing around with NDA breakers
General Discussion « Guild Wars 2 3/23/12 2:35:12 PM
The reason these games have NDA's is because they don't want people to know how crappy their game truly is. |
