and the word for the day is ....."Shill"
General Discussion « Camelot Unchained 4/14/13 7:47:15 AM
Originally posted by Kyleran Shills are by no means an urban legend. We sometimes take them for granted, thats true, but in the internet era they have become as commonplace as the man who phones a stranger to sell him something (that one was also unthinkable 40 years ago) The recently deceased hugo chavez is credited to have a staff of 200 persons participating in social media of all kinds , from twitter to newspaper forums. However, I agree that perhaps the whole phenomenom is a bit overrated in the mmo genre. The golden rule is that shills cost money. If you dont have money, you probably dont have shills as well. |

Wht i dont like about this system is that it penalizes people who spend most of their time in champion fights actively ressing others (and these people get fights won). I think ressing healing or healing to allies should count as damage done to the champion in these events (i dont know if it does. I know i like ressing a lot and i usually get bronze or silvr medals only on champion fights) I know, i know, no trinity... but the game allows support role, and thats what i do in that kind of fight.

I think it is a bit ridiculous myself. A mainstream mmo needs hundreds of people behind it, between development , marketing , financing and the whole shenanigan. A good , well funded non mainstream one, maybe tens of them. Deciding to discard wholly a project based simply in the involvement of a single person is too hasty, imo.

I remember i got fed up with this game by getting the out of memory error every five mins after trying to play in the expansion (the infamous Windows Vista was probably to blame) . I coud probably play it now easily with no problem, but that impression was so bad i still shudder when i think about AoC. Funny how avoidable mistakes can influence you longterm.

I commend you on your decision of moving to Tera to avoid Asian F2p crap, madam. Thats like boarding the Titanic in order to avoid the stresses of flight travel-.

World of Warcraft: Why Blizzard Won't Do Full Open-Tagging
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 1/28/13 10:59:20 AM
He is really answering himself. The problem is not open world tapping or not.The problem is the lack of scalable encounters in wow. Rift an GW2 have them, and thus the question of who was the first who took the first teeny weeny bit of health off the mob is not so important

User votes say that Guild Wars 2, The Secret World, and Rift are good?

Not much to argue here imo. In a price/quality ratio, those 3 are among the best out there you are going to find.

I remember my biggest gripe with ffxiv was the absolutely horrible lag. If there were more than 5 people near you , it took ages for them to appear on screen (i played from europe). If they dont fix that, i dont really care what other changes they implement.
