I agree, they are trying to make the class combos they sell more powered.

For example the new artifcer is the best classd to solo (you gotta buy artificer), and the best race to play is Warforged.

If you dont have artificer then u gotta try Warforged sorceror...

When the enemy can hit you for 200-300 in melee, and has 1 million hit points the best path to play is ranged caster.

Melee is being nerfed since the beginning while they promote new classes...

cannot have puncturing, banishing, maiming etc together....

It makes me sad that even Gordon gave up on this game. This was such a special game that is run down to the ground. The gpotato netmarble alliance was the worst thing that ever happened...

The greedy lottery cash shop, events that u can only succeed with cash shop items, unbalanced ships/permits etc. destroyed this game...

I used to be a firm defender of Turbien and its F2P model. To be honest it was the best and it was a very honest model. Once every other month I would subscribe and enjoy the content I didnt have. But right now its down the drain....

Everything costs Turbine points now, back then it was few hundred for this and few hundred for that, I used to be able to cover that with the free 500 points i was getting every month. Now everything costs way more. 800 for this and 950 for that....

I didnt even get the raid for the ROI expansion, like 1000 points just for 1 raid?

I also got a bunch of zones paying points, thay added a few minor instances/dungeons to the zones that I already paid for but I dont have access...I have to pay additional to buy those too...

Long story short, they got too greedy and lost my business. I am not subbing anymore and not paying for the poorly done expansions. Almost 2 months and i didnt even log in...

new festival! The march pay to win festival! If you dont get the rare mount that drops from the festival games, go to the store and buy it!

I like the idea of one purchase and you have it permanently.  Games like AoC let you level but you never own end game content, you have to rent it with a subscription.  And if I wanted to subscribe to a game it wouldn't be for a failed subscription game that had to change to F2P.

You are right, you can grind to earn points and than buy quests. But, that is tiresome and painful process and it destroys all the fun from the game.

Things you can do for $80:

Go online buy neverwinter nights complete pack + icewind dale complete pack + forgotten realms novels and games + baldurs gate complete pack.

and still will be lower than $80 and trust me you will spend more time playing that rather than the new 10 dungeons over and over again...

I still have nigtmares about this game....

Defending a city slum with multiple lvl 9 buildings from aliens.

Team goes in kills the invading aliens, but game wont end. From the sound effects I can tell there is 1 alien worm still alive.

So I search the buildings romm by room with motion scanners still nothing, cause the freaking worm wont move.

Then in my 2nd search I found the worm behind a bed, stuck in a corner behind a chair. I kill him, mission ends...

Mission time: 4 hours 20 mins (4 hours searching for the worm)

I would so go back to playing this game if my tenth mount looks like this...

Come on turbine, I am sure you can come up with something better than more useless mounts every month?

I didnt login for few weeks now, I think I already have 8 or 9 mounts... I really dont need a 10th one. There is just nothing to do anymore other than waiting or Rohan expansion release while playing other games...

I played for a few hours yesterday and not bad after all. It is smthg I can play with my kids (its like a more strategic/tactical hello kitty online) but the monthly sub is not really worth it. I would rather pay like $20-30 or so to get unlimited access. I am not planning to pay 3 subs for this. It is not worth playing for free because it is very limited. You cannot enjoy any of the sandbox features on free accounts. Also the game is super buggy and so many exploits going on. It is a bad sign 10 days before release. I will just wait for a few months and see what happens. If GW2 stil didnt release and they changed their sub model I might give it a try.

I am not planning to log in anytime in the future either, I am playing X-COM (yes the 15 year old game), which has much more replayability. Even the 1993 Wing Commander is more fun than STO end game...

the only reason i am not uninstalling is to see what they will come up in 6 months (I have lots of free space on my HDD)

This will be my last post with this game, its good to kill a few days/weeks while leveling up. Not worth spending any more time/money after reaching level cap. Cryptic is milking the Star Trek name as much as they can...sad.

So I  finished the newly added storyline content, kept me busy for a few days. A good 5-6 hours of missions in there.

nothing to do again till they add new content...

Also they just added "buy keys with cash to open really good loot boxes that might drop rare ships" content...LOL

I repeat its a decent free game to spend a few weeks, I did spend my few weeks and I am done with this game. No end content, just grind the same instances/dailies over and over. I would have played more if I had the option to kill Feds in open world PvP with my KDF.

Overall rating: 6.5

Fun factor till you get to max level: 7.5

Fun factor after max level: 3

not a single thing to do other than grind a few boring instances, and this game just celebrated 2 year anniversary...

Final comment: Hey its free, give it a try but not worth spending money...

But thats not enough to win, also buy our TELEPORT to port item to make sure u are ahead of game!!!

My time with a fast clipper was like 4-5 hours someone won the race with 45 mins or smthg ridiculous like that...

as i said in a previous post "World of tanks, I mean mechs". Nothing but get a mech grind using instanced lobby games like world of tanks to higher lvl mechs or just buy it from PAY2WIn shop.

or you can grind STF (instances) like a few hundred times for better gear...

Thank you all, Tried a few player created missions, found a few good ones but got old too..

So here is my typical day for STO end game here:

-log in

-assign new duty officer missions

-If i am super bored run a STF (thanx for letting me know I need to run around 120 stf's for a set btw)

-log off

This is the worst end game I have ever seen. The only thing I enjoy is the borg invasion (ground) event but I come across it like once a week. I really dont see a reason to log in anymore. All the friends I started with dont even bother to log in.There is nothing in there other than the STF grind a better gear.  You are stuck with your ship unless you pay $$$ to get a better one from the store...

now I know its F2P, watch the new wave of players leave when they all reach max lvl...

Sorry guys not happening....

I also wish for a 4-5 faction (inner sphere houses + clans) type of game where planets/resources will be switched and it will be like EVE but battletech universe...
