I wanted to say, EQ2 BGs are made better than WoWs BGs concerning tanks. They can do, what they can do best: tanking. Get aggro of enemies, to prevent the healers from dying. And they can taunt healers, so that they cant target people with low health. Good job there :)

Edit: But I'd love to have a AV style BG in EQ2.

WTF, what a wow hater list. Since everyone knows, wow was the very first MMO!

I played M59 long, I loved Ko'catan :)

Could you take Zorncamp with you? kk thx

I am not sure why that is, it seems I just get bored quickly.. maybe it's doi9ng the same things all the time, i.e kill 100 of these mobs.

I mean with WoW, it was constantly refreshed with expanions and updates.. but LOTRO had that also but never maxed a character on there either.

I find myself concerned that MMO's no longer appeal to me anymore, who else has this feeling?

Obviously a wow troll, since wow has almost only kill-this-kill-that-quests

I maxed in most MMOs I played, but always just 1 character, which I invest all my time into. I never twink.

Obviously a troll, since WOTLK's quests had so few kill quests that I almost wished they had more.  Seriously, I found myself saying "aw man, another convoluted quest series?  Why can't I just kill shit?"  :P

...and that's without noting the Level-purely-through-dungeons option that exists nowadays.

So you level 1-80 by wotlk? Respect :P Troll

IMO the most content (except for EQ1)

Massive: Yes it is massive.

Multiplayer: It is multiplayer

Online: Well... Yes.

Heck i can even attach the RPG affix that most games shy away from these days.

Ergo OP you are wrong. This does not make your opinion wrong, since they can't be right or wrong but your wording of the title is way off base.

Wether it is more or less massive, multiplayer or online then before is a matter of taste but i feel the LFG tool made it more massive atleast, since i can do more things and see more places. More multiplayer as i meet more players and i am not sure how to make it more Online.

Edit: Also to the guy above me. Why are you sitting i a city waiting for a portal... Go out in the world, you no longer need to be in a city to get a group you can be anywere. No longer do you need to hang by the meetingstone spamming any random passerby. Quest, grind or enjoy the scenery. You create your own cage.

Where is it massive? When you wait in a city? When you run a instanced dungeon? When you run a instanced raid? When you go to a instanced battleground or arena?

Yes, sitting in a city and waiting for a dungeon port is not really to be called a MMO anymore. Its like a 3D-waitingroom.

Failure = Penalty

Dying in a dungeon and just running back where you were = non-hardcore

Dying in a dungeon and lose stats, equipment and/or exp = hardcore

I dont need really hard penalties. But with penalties, every success has more value (IMHO).

Harcore = No life isnt true, since wow is for no-lifers, but not hardcore at all

I played until some weeks after 1st expansion. EQ2 was the better choice for my gamingstyle.

I love MMOs, but dont like Metal at all

Well WoW is the game that made instancing the dominant force in the universe, no one that plays WoW should mind any instancing.

This is completely false. Try walking from one end of the continent to the other in AoC without a loading screen. Try walking into 99% of the buildings in AoC without a loading screen. Dungeons in WoW are instanced, but the world is open, with the exception of expansion content that needed a loading screen as a barrier of entry to those who haven't purchased the expansions. Not hating on AoC, but I really hate this old strawman. Now, if you alter the last word of your sentence and add another at the end to make it read "...no one that plays WoW should mind any instanced dungeons.", it'd be a different matter.

But since 90% of wow plays in dungeons or battlegrounds or arenas, 90% is instanced ;)

For some fanatic wowers its already "hating" not to play wow...

SWTor with wow combat would be: jump - lightsaber swing - jump - lightsaber swing - jump - lasershot - jump - jump - use the force - jump ...

The instancing isnt the best solution, yes, but the combat rocks. IMO the best combat system of all MMOs yet.

Yes, the SF quests are totally crap. SoE finally gave up on telling stories. Too bad, since I loved the DoF expansion's stories. But I can understand them a little bit, why wasting time for thinking about stories, if almost no one reads them. Questreaders are under 1% of the players (IMO). I hope, the two signatures (Dartain & Lucan) will have some nice story line.

I think guild halls in EQ2 (like they are atm) were a fault. Every city is empty, because in your own gh you can access NPCs way faster or travel faster. And ghs + the dungeon port feature of wow = lifeless world.

I only played Lotro of those, but I liked it very much. So I voted for it :)

World of Warcraft generates that amount of cash every month nowadays, and as Eurogamer notes, EA is obviously interested in recouping costs the same way.

Too bad, byebye SWTor

The game is so easy, you just need 1 hand. The other hand needs something to do, so many players keep pressing the space bar.
