Just another pve game...still no crafting..no housing...weak faction fighting.I saw nothing to make me keep playing. I will say the community  in the forums was far better than average.

This is what you get when you make games by committee.

Heard the same thing...post phoned....infefinately.My conjecture....it's launch got too close to a potential WAR launch.....so  it won't see the light of day .Given the number of  mmog launches of expansions and new games in the 2nd half of 2008.....the end may be near for DAOC.

I followed the game for over 2 years......bought the early entry...bought collectors edition..quit after 3 weeks..and will never go back.More than that ....FC destroyed my trust in their company .Seems their stock holders have similar feelings too.

Played DAOC for years.Games get stale if they are not refreshed regularly . Mythic has done a horrid job with the expansions which actually ended up driving players away from the game.Mythic has never had the ability to listen to it's player base and be able to sort out the childish ranting of some players from the intelligent comments of others.ALL get the deaf ear...and unrelenting nerfing.

Given todays game producers and developers ...you are asking a lot(sarcasm/off)

Key Questions:

Has the ability to dominate territory by a few guilds been fixed ?

Wheres housing thats been in beta forever ?

have they given lower level players a chance to gvg ?

Will the player bas be restricted to North America and europe ? Or can  players expect asian domination on this server

Has the territorial map been expanded beyond the partial Malasian map ?

Where are the North American servers located ?

What changes if any have been made to the game vs the Malasian server version ?

Yea...Right.  Thats what Funcom said was going on too.So...you're right...that's what the GAME  COMPANYS say is going on.

I guess for me what's hard to understand....WAR was schedualed to be introduced LAST YEAR.  Ok...so now it's been pushed back to 2008 for  it's introduction.  So what's going on...a year added to development....and a major cuts in content.You decide what that means.

I might not like what Mythic had to say...but I applaude their decision to be honest  with what they are doing with the game.This stands in stark contrast with Funcom and what they shoveled out the door....knowing how broken/incomplete/poorly designed  AOC was.

As an x long time DAOC player(who finally quit) I can't wait. Faction warfare 24/7...whats not to like.I think the devs will be a lot smarter and not make the awfull mistakes that drove DAOC into the ground.I wish it were comming out this year.
