It probablly is true because for some strange reason we're unable to post on any of the G&H boards now. Pretty lame to just ignore us.

This is very strange and suprising if it's true. I mean it was almost ready for launch. If it were early or middle deveopment I could maybe understand caneling before getting too involved but this game was almost ready enough for a smooth release. Seems like that would be the absolute worst time to say forget about it and focus on STO.

/boggle

I'd give it a second try if a few conditions were met.

1- Character Customization- Having a bunch of clones was probably the biggest downer for me. Having no customization in a MMORPG is just absurd.

2- Quests or some other viable ways for alternate advancement- I don't mind grinding to a degree but that's all that's worthwhile for XP in this game.

3- Equipment variety via drops- Don't know about you but one of the things that keeps me entertained is the chance to find something really special. They do it somewhat with a chance to find a piece with minor enchantments but not nearly enough to keep it interesting.

Do those three things on top of tweaking the PvP system to be meaningfull and worthwhile and they'd have me there and spending money at the item shop.

Don't try the F'ing game unless you like these kind of games.. what are you expecting to find?

LOL, Well how would I know if I'll like it without trying it first genious?

So far they're all pretty much clones, though this one actually sounded better with the developer promising stuff , that apparently never made it into the game.

Lineage 2 engine-check

Little to no character customization-check

Gender is based on class-check

Nothing but grinding-check

Zero equipment variety-check

on/off, bare minimal PvP -check

Nothing to actually make your character unique-check

No lore or persistant storyline in the game-check

Quests are a complete waste of time-check

Yeah, same old $hit, different name.

It did look ok and have a pretty nice feel to it though.

If you love it then good for you.

If you read up anything about games before you play them you should notice what category of mmo's it fits in.

1. "Nothing but grinding-check": How about PvP? instancing with your guild? siege battles? fishing?

2. "Zero equipment variety-check": There are a couple of different mods that appear on magic/noble/legendary equipment that makes them good in different ways, you can also socket the items with lots of different bonuses.

3. "on/off, bare minimal PvP -check": You can PvP as much as you want, yes there is a penalty to it but it's still your choice. And i might add that you can manage just fine with alot of PK's if your careful and has friends helping you.

All the other points you made are correct.

And some people here are complaining about grinding at lvl 18? jesus christ.. it's fast as hell at those levels unless you are really really bad at the game. Up until 50 the game is a breeze, then the grind starts .

I wouldn't consider things like fishing to be a feature. That's called fluff and normally MMO's have a lot more than one option for fluff or money sinks. Guild only nstances are a nice touch but the options for this is very limited because these instances are rare.

The ability to attack other players is not PvP content. I conceed that seige battles is but too bad you have to grind for two or three months to do it if you are a casual player. The jail system was a nice touch but that only deals with attackers playing cheap. Where's the benefits for winning? Where's the penalites for losing? Where the story in the game as to why I would want to kill other players. What am I protecting or trying to take away? It's this things that are lacking which makes PvP just mindless killing just for the sake of killing.

I'm aware you can socket items but that's the same exact thing as enchanting in other games. Your base equipment has no variety. If you enchant a weapon with +5 ice damage or even get it as a drop  it's still the same generic weapon you'd buy off the merchant but with a extra +5 ice damage. It does add a tiny bit of variety but nothing that compensates for wide loot tables you'd find in a p2p game.
Anyway, been there and done that.

I'm glad you like the game, but there are lots of reasons why I don't. Regardless of developers intentions it still has pretty much the same pros and cons for me as other free fantasy MMO's that I've attempted to play. Until they make games where there's more than grinding endlessly on a generic avatars I'll be hard to sway.

Because this game is not WoW, you don't get everything in the first day of playing. It is grindcore, you either have the ability to stick it out or you crumble in the face of reaching the next level. playing L2 I learned it is a waste to try to get as many levels in one day as possible. Set a goal of 2 levels and that is it, or a level. The reason people get burned out is because they never played grindcore and they don't know how to trim down the time they spend playing a game, So what ! you can't get to max level in a week, it is a fully free mmo game that is presented for players to play and explore, there is no time limit, you don't have to get it all done before the next billing, there is no billing .

I know man. I've been playing these games since Ultima Online in college. I got to about 30 in 2Moons and I expect you'd probably have a pretty good feel for the game by then. I didn't get burned out, I just wasn't being entertained with nothing but slow grinding and expecting about 2 more months of nothing but grinding ahead of me.

I find the graphics compelling, I'm a sucker for big boobs and a thong, having things like that is stimulating to me and I enjoy the environment the games brings to the table. The blood animation is great, not Conan good , but good enough to say "cool" and I do say that a few times during my grind.

I thought the graphcis looks pretty good actually for you normal free game, but graphics are just one factor of many for me.

There is a TON of armor drops of all kinds that vary from the vendors stock, so you may see the vendor with just a few pieces but  all the good armor are drops, same as weapons. Again you won't pick up on this just by going outside and getting 3 levels and giving up.

They vary by sometimes dropping off mobs with an enhanement on it but otherwise it's the same basic item, level, and model as you would get off the vendor. You also have nothinbg else besides what your vendor offers you, and by nothing else I'm also including the mob drops which are the same exact thing minus a bonus. If you can but a lvl 27 Summoner sword off the vendor you are not going to find another Summoner sword off a mob that's lvl 28,29,30...etc. You're not even going to find another type of lvl 27 Summoner sword...,.IE....no variety.

A game like this has tremendous rewards at the upper levels , and it takes strong will power to grind up to thos levels, face it, if you can't handle doing 1-10 in your first session, you won't beable to handle the game period .

Not sure where you're getting I quit shortly after playing. Also spending the next few months grinding just for the sake of leveling is not what I call entertaining. Sure, all MMO's have a grind of some kind but at least the quality ones are able to mask that grind feeling. In this one you're always aware you're grinding because there is nothing else except for backstabbing other players.

This game is not a"typical  Asian" mmo. it is not set in an asian landscape, it doesn't have asian looking characters and the armors aren't asian in orientation. The game takes a nice unique blend of fantasy and Aztec culture and blends it nicely.

It's like the multitudes of other free Asian MMO's out there. That doesn't mean it looks Asian or has a Asian theme, though it does to me just by looking at the anime theme characters. The girls fighting in thongs, bikini tops, and mini skirts should reassure of the game's origins. It means there are other free games out there that are amost exacty the same. The same look. The same features. The same lack of features. Go fire up the latest free Korean MMO to come out before 2moons, Last Chaos, and get back to me with the similarities.

One thing that is annoying is playing on maps, though I can see a benifit to this for server speed you do lose that grand feeling of an open world mmo, but I think they make up with that in Instances for Guilds and Parties as well as the Seige area , so ther eis still a ton to check out from where I sitting.

I think there's an assembly line in Korea that pumps out these free clones.

I uninstalled after getting to about 30. Grindfest with no pulse or variety.

CE version is standard nowdays.

After getting lvl 28 I quit, but here are my thoughts.

Pros-

Graphics and music are ok

Art and design is prettty good too

Combat is flashy looking

Cons-

Preset level equipment and that's it. Nothing in between. Sword X at lvl 18, sword Y at lvl 24

No character customization at all. Prepare to see a few thousand clones.

Complete grind with most quests not even slightly worth the effort and the quests are far and few

Not enough choices to grind at once past the noob areas

Cursing NPC's are completely overdone

Interface and controls are clunky. WASD feels awkward

PvP seems to not have a real purpose

No penalties for death other than travel time back

Grind starts getting pretty rough before you're even 1/4-1/5 of the way to the cap

Most of the playerbase is so obviously <17 regardless of rating so you get bombarded with immaturity and text message speak

Combat is mostly a joke because as long as you're landing steady hits on the mob/person their attacks are interrupted

If you're coming from quality pay to play MMO's prepare to be unimpresssed.

Just like other free Asian MMO. Take your carbon copy avatar out and start grinding.

The only mature part is the fact that NPC's go overboard with cussing and the mobs you kill usually end up in a pile of pieces.
