It probablly is true because for some strange reason we're unable to post on any of the G&H boards now. Pretty lame to just ignore us. This is very strange and suprising if it's true. I mean it was almost ready for launch. If it were early or middle deveopment I could maybe understand caneling before getting too involved but this game was almost ready enough for a smooth release. Seems like that would be the absolute worst time to say forget about it and focus on STO.

I'd give it a second try if a few conditions were met. 1- Character Customization- Having a bunch of clones was probably the biggest downer for me. Having no customization in a MMORPG is just absurd. 2- Quests or some other viable ways for alternate advancement- I don't mind grinding to a degree but that's all that's worthwhile for XP in this game. 3- Equipment variety via drops- Don't know about you but one of the things that keeps me entertained is the chance to find something really special. They do it somewhat with a chance to find a piece with minor enchantments but not nearly enough to keep it interesting. Do those three things on top of tweaking the PvP system to be meaningfull and worthwhile and they'd have me there and spending money at the item shop.

Originally posted by pezit I'm aware you can socket items but that's the same exact thing as enchanting in other games. Your base equipment has no variety. If you enchant a weapon with +5 ice damage or even get it as a drop it's still the same generic weapon you'd buy off the merchant but with a extra +5 ice damage. It does add a tiny bit of variety but nothing that compensates for wide loot tables you'd find in a p2p game. Anyway, been there and done that.

I'm glad you like the game, but there are lots of reasons why I don't. Regardless of developers intentions it still has pretty much the same pros and cons for me as other free fantasy MMO's that I've attempted to play. Until they make games where there's more than grinding endlessly on a generic avatars I'll be hard to sway.

So far they're all pretty much clones, though this one actually sounded better with the developer promising stuff , that apparently never made it into the game. Lineage 2 engine-check Little to no character customization-check Gender is based on class-check Nothing but grinding-check Zero equipment variety-check on/off, bare minimal PvP -check Nothing to actually make your character unique-check No lore or persistant storyline in the game-check Quests are a complete waste of time-check
Yeah, same old $hit, different name.
It did look ok and have a pretty nice feel to it though. If you love it then good for you.

I think there's an assembly line in Korea that pumps out these free clones. |

I uninstalled after getting to about 30. Grindfest with no pulse or variety. |

After getting lvl 28 I quit, but here are my thoughts. Pros- Graphics and music are ok Art and design is prettty good too Combat is flashy looking
Cons- Preset level equipment and that's it. Nothing in between. Sword X at lvl 18, sword Y at lvl 24 No character customization at all. Prepare to see a few thousand clones. Complete grind with most quests not even slightly worth the effort and the quests are far and few Not enough choices to grind at once past the noob areas Cursing NPC's are completely overdone Interface and controls are clunky. WASD feels awkward PvP seems to not have a real purpose No penalties for death other than travel time back Grind starts getting pretty rough before you're even 1/4-1/5 of the way to the cap Most of the playerbase is so obviously <17 regardless of rating so you get bombarded with immaturity and text message speak Combat is mostly a joke because as long as you're landing steady hits on the mob/person their attacks are interrupted
If you're coming from quality pay to play MMO's prepare to be unimpresssed.

So, how does 2moons measure up to what Dave Perry said he was going to make?
General Discussion « 2Moons 8/02/07 11:17:50 PM
Just like other free Asian MMO. Take your carbon copy avatar out and start grinding. The only mature part is the fact that NPC's go overboard with cussing and the mobs you kill usually end up in a pile of pieces. |
