Theres alot of crap MMOs out there just trying to win a quick buck, but again, remember how most big MMO companys started.. with a crap MMO to make theire first profit and then work on something bigger.

Theres always going to be Low quality MMOs and High quality MMOs. The number of players on MMOs has been increasing every year, and alot of good MMOs are launched every year.

I dont think every MMO on the market now are plain crap.. Alot of them are, but theres some good MMOs also.

EVE Online. Ill be playing Aion Online also, when it comes out ;)

From all the MMOs I tried, EVE has the most mature and best social community.

I also liked the community on City of Heroes Europe, vry social and helpfull.

If you are that smart and condemn a companys mistake so arsh based on your lack of knowledge on how this situation could possibly happen then you have a good option, stop playing EVE and for sure CCP will never affect your OS again..

Its normal for the people that got affected to be pissed about it but if you really cant solve the problem you should try to contact CCP, they will probably be able to even give u a complete walk through by phone if it comes to it. There arent that many people affected by this problem tbh.. since it was only on the patch for 2 hours. Imho they fixed the issue vry fast.

Like it was mentioned before, this was a small mistake when it comes to how much coding it takes to build such a complex game, although it affected a main file of the OS's it still is a small mistake.. We customers pay them to make sure they dont do mistakes, no doubt on that, but no matter what its still humans coding the game, which means at any time a mistake can be made..

EVE is a great game, and flaws in patches happen to every game..

This issue is only on Windows XP Operating Systems, Vista did not get affected by the problem..

They also warned everyone ingame and on the website for people not to shut down theire windows XP PCs until the problem had been resolved..

Those that did shutdown had bad luck, but then again you can contact EVE support and ask them about the problem, maybe they can give you a walk through on what you should do to get your PC working again..

Well, tbh for me it depends how the game is structured based on the genre. I never really decide if i play a game only basing myself on its genre. For example I like EVE alot, its Sci-Fi, but I also like L2, which is Fantasy, and Im looking forward to play Aion Online, High Fantasy..

So I really cant chose a specific genre, I would have to chose game/genre, and not only genre.

It really depends on what type of game you like tbh..

IMO EVE is the best MMO out there, but to really "feel" the game I would advise you to play it for a long time until you can actually get yourself into the "end game" features. And by end game I mean, get your career skills maxed, and get into a corporation that plays in 0.0 ( no security ) regions, and get into war gangs in 0.0, etc..

You can always try City of Heroes/Villains, its a nice game but wont keep u entertained for to long.

It seems to me that you played alot of games in a short time, most games have all the fun on the end game content, and it seems to me that you probably nvr got to it on half of the games u played ;)

Theres a new hard core pvp mmo, Fury, might wanna try it, I havent heard that many good reviews so I didnt even tested it..

I think Aion will certainly reach number 1. The problem with Aion right now is the lack of official information about it, once Beta arrives to US/Europe the hype will increase for sure.

Alot of people have very messed up information about the game, Aion will follow the westerm MMOs grind style, not the korean grind fest..

But again, Aion is still a long way till Live, the closer it becomes to it, the higher its hype will become, when people actually have the oportunity to try the game, I bet theire standings to Aion will completly change..

If you really look intensivly for information about Aion you will understand alot better what kind of game it is, and most people here in US/Europe still seem to think its going to be a failure like Lineage 2...

Remember people! Its still closed beta in korea, I mean, they didnt even got to the Abyss subject on the test server...

And please do a intensive search about the game.. the guy is human, and a korean speaking in english... mistake? most probably... but Ive listened to it and I just think your taking the wrong conclusions anyway..

And about the Abyss, you will be able to pvp your enemy race obviously, take for example the castles, they can be conquered by both races, and to take it from your enemy you have to what?? Kill  your enemy obviously..

But ofc you wont be able to interact with your enemy race, thats why theire enemys, u kill them, simple as that...

Oh and btw, there will be certain "doors" in each race worlds which will take you to a instance where both races can pvp with eachother.. Those "doors" show up randomly, anytime, anywhere... (like Orphen explained)

But once again remember, games dont have to all be hard core pvp, each game atracts certain type of players...

Aion is still being developed, theres no point in saying if it will fail or succeed until its final version is launched... but  IMHO this game will be a big hit, most players out there dont rlly look for hard core pvp in fantasy MMOs like Aion, but mostly the immersive aspect of it.

Well, most people delete theire first character after a month or 2, due to picking the wrong atributes or not chosing the roll they really wanna play.

If you dont want to do that, you have to decide what you wanna do, if your going miner or engeneer, you should get more atributes in inteligence and memory, if you also want to trade, then you need charisma, if you want to pve/pvp mostly, then go for perception and willpower.

I have 3 accounts, 1 char on each, a pvp/pve character on a corporation based in 0.0 ( no security systems), a miner and the 3rd is on a npc corp, i use it for pirating, and anything that comes to my mind without having to care about diplomacy.

Since im the kind of person that likes to have multiple roles on every character, i just try to balance all the atributes apart from charisma, my miner has abit more since i use him as a trader, but the other 2 i have like 3 or 4 base charisma points. If you do abit of search and go through every race and bloodline, you will soon understand that certain bloodlines of certain races can get vry balanced atributes by leaving charisma on the side. And you can also see that certain bloodlines of certain races can get vry high points on certain atributes.

Its just a matter of choice, are you the kind of person that wants to have more then one roll or are you the kind of person that just wants to specialize on a single roll? From there, make your choices.

This game isnt going to be huge just because of the wings, theres probably like 2 or 3 other games in which you can fly and have wings.

The game will be huge by its gameplay, graphics, new concepts, etc..

One of its major feature is flying but not just because you have wings and fly, but because alot of the content of the game includes flying in it, for example, battle while flying, flying needed for certain quests, a way of fast transportation, finding hiden areas, jump from island to island in the Abyss, etc... The game includes flying in the whole concepts of the game, unlike most of other games which is only used as a faster way of transportation.

Aion will most definitly be a big MMO.

To be honest I think Aion is not geting enough atention, alot of people are giving "bad" reviews about this game before they even had the chance to play it. This could also mean im expecting alot of this game and hey! I havent played it either, but I think its obvious that this will be something huge, the concept of the game might seem similar to WoW but whoever thinks it is, hasnt searched enough about the game, Imho its the most inovative game being developed.

I hope people will actually try the game when it comes out, I think Aion will be to good to be receiving bad reviews by, specially, WoW addicts that think anything apart from WoW is bad, and anything that seems like WoW at first view, is just a copy of it.

I will most definitly play a sexy female asmodian ;)
