The Big Difference Between WoW and WAR!!!11!!112
General Discussion « WAR (Warhammer Online) 2/13/08 4:06:51 PM
Alright for those that are bitching about the picture I will change it, all I did was go on google, type in PVP and find a non-WoW pvp picture just to make a god damned point. Thank you for those that over interpret things and ruin awsome posts like these (obvious sarcasm if your that stupid). |

The Big Difference Between WoW and WAR!!!11!!112

WoW = Carebear and WAR = Pwnage PVP Now I'm too lazy to put in details so someone do it for me. Happy for the picture change? God forbid I couldn't find an actual picture of massive RVR but you know, there is something called an NDA. |

Chaos all the way, can't wait to use my Chosen in battle. |

This game is really starting to form into its mold nicely. Thank god they postponed the release date to polish it, if they didn't then most people would not be looking at it as much as they are now. |

This might help: Here Theres 2 reviews on there, and a few people have agreed, if your used to SWG like I, then you will find this game a little... sucky. |

Originally posted by Vincenz No offense to you either but mind you, I have 4gb of RAM, its not the time it takes to load which is only a few seconds its just that I'm used to just walking into a structure, loading screens help me in the loss of interacting and depth in the game. |

I would have to agree, I was in the beta and found the game extremely lacking in my favor. I'm not talking about lag or any bugs but just sheer content, the crafting system is just plain horrible IMO. I prefer to get hands on and do the work myself (like EQ2 for example) or even the way SWG has it, manually placing your equipment around the world. The ship combat gets old very fast, and avatar combat is just plain horrible. The instance loading for combat is plain annoying and I would prefer to have an open gameplay instead of instancing everything. The loading into every structure is also very annoying, It's 2008 people I think its time to upgrade your software and make the game a bit more interesting. I have to agree on the graphics too, it looks like Guild Wars and Guild Wars is a few years old... these are the reasons why I don't play and don't intend on playing. Now I'm going to prepare for all the pirate lovers who are going to fiddle with my words and turn them against me. |

So... I logged in yesterday for the first time in a year to see the new market place. I go to leave Falador when a little kid comes up to me saying "my main can beat you up". All I could really do was laugh and state that, thats what everyone does in this game anymore. He then started bashing me and saying that my mom was fat etc etc etc. I logged off right there lol. |

Ah will this solved most of my questions that I asked, I'm a little bummed about the non-factional PVP (huge groups of same factioned players just raiding another faction's base/city/group). But other then that the game is very cool, well I'm only on the trial til I get my copy of the game through the mail (the all in one pack). Should be any day now, anyway AB is a cool server it seems, a large abundance of people to game with and most guilds that I've seen while surfing these forums are on it. Shame it isn't a PVP server but I can settle with just RP. |

When I was downloading the 7 day trial the times were all over the place, one minute it was 2 hours and 30 mins, the next minute it went up to 7 hours and 50 minutes. SOE must have crappy download/upload/patch servers up or must not have been prepared for the trial when they released it |

Is there any form of Factional PVP? This is coming from a SWG player that is used to going into Restuss (PVP Fest), going special forces, and waging a war on enemy factioned special forces. I liked how that went and wondered if there was any form of that on EQ2, I've heard about Arena's and solo PVP (one players vs. another running around in the woods) but I was wondering about factional. Is it easy to get a group as a low level and just grind quests and level up? SWG it wasn't that easy and thats what makes many people not have interest in it. I was in LOTRO beta and you HAD to group or else you couldn't do any quests at all. Could anyone give me any information on mounts? I would like to know more about them since the EQ2 website only has griffons under transportation, what are the different kinds and do they have different speeds/health something like that. Finally, I'm awaiting WAR to come out, I know this game will hold me til it does but will I get that hooked that I wouldn't be able to leave the game without having the urge to come back every 2 hours (like WoW does to it's victims, I hate WoW...) this is speaking in the long run. Those are my few questions sorry for the trouble hehe Thanks, Hawk |
