I didn't play AoC and never will What i did do though is did my research,watched vids and followed the game.

Old school MMO players can usually tell when a MMO isn't going to be good ,IF they use their heads and not the hype. AoC was gonna fail regardless.

Seriously.Conan. Out of every lore they could of done ,conan. The only fans this game is gonna have in two years time is fanboys. The vids i watched the graphics looked smooth and nice and very ground breaking from what i remember and dont get me wrong,im not knocking the game and i know imma get that ''dont put in your two cents since you haven't played'' but whatever.

Of course a game is gonna have bugs on release,hell the great MMO of the milli had bugs. It's not how a game starts out is what matters it's what you offer to the fans in the long run. word of mouth marketing is the best.

From watching the videos it looked like the graphics was all the game had running for it..you seriously think that bows had scopes on them? where in the hell did they come up with the idea of having a ''sniper'' mode for a bow. People want eaither total fantasy MMO's or as close as yo ucan get to real.We already have our Fantasy and thats wow.

Me,im personally waiting on Warhammer,Mythic did a good job with DAoC till ToA and WoW. Now EA is behind them to fund more. I pray to the MMO gods that Warhammer can shut down WoW or atleast make a dent in it's numbers cause alot of good MMO's are coming out

You know i was thinking...This is merely off of speculation and how i feel towards this great genre.

I believe that if a super hero game was done correctly (Creating how you came about and it affect you in game,having a huge list of powers to choose from for maximum hero customs,action pa ked but with that strong Super hero feeling that your doing something good in the world and it actually effect the game, Many many diffrent species and planets for you to choose from and start in, THe option to pic ka city to run like Batman and gotham,and of course having your own arch enemy and him being a big part of your quest and what you do in game,and a great end game of many things to do for extra replay value,plus not to mention a great gameplay enviroment so you feel like you havent explored everything) <---- those added into a game,i left out a few others, would completely blow everything else,including WoW, away.

The superhero empire is one of the biggest fanboy locaters ever, it has the bioggest fanbase and most loyal fans. Done correctly and advertised right and to the right kind of people, the game could be....MASSIVE.

I pre ordered my copy of CE today and got the Open Beta Access and all that nifty stuff..but what about the graphic novel and all the other stuff that comes with it,do i get that day of drop...or was i suppose to recieve it when i pre ordered?

Well I  pre ordered my CE today. put 10 bucks towards the game AND got my Beta codes and ingame stuff plus the live game head start program. I walked into Gamestop,and they had so many beta codes there...he had like 10...i live in texas,in haltom city...Not alot of Geeky kids around here so i knew mine was a shoe in..But shockingly...Best buy didnt have any for walk ins just through internet...But the dude from Best buy said  WAR  isnt suppose to come out till 10/05/08 ...or somewhere within that date.maybe a week after...So yeah....Im real excited..Open Beta :) My first beta ever..im canceling DAoC before i have to pay my monthly fee then clearing space for WAR on my rag comp.

I want a CE real bad cause this will be my first game to actually start playing from launch day...But im already gonna be dropping 400-600 on a new comp for the game and buying my girlfriend a comp and the game for her and paying for mine and hers ...I really want a CE,i doubt this is the last time they'll sell them though...they'll probably  sell another version within the next two months..Cause now that the fans got something they are gonna want more..

80 dollors..for a in game item,beta key,and  ''unique'' customization ....I dont really wanna go bankrupt...I wonder if i can put one on Lay-o-Way

I thought i read in a post from mythic that game wont have actual stealth but like a camo type thing so it would make sense since mythic did say this in a post a few months ago. that  there wont be a actual stealth system that alows you to stay stealthed like a  Ranger or Hunter but  rather you become transparent,consuming your surroundings.  There has to be some sort of stealth because there is Camo in real life and in most games, it's called Sneaking...becoming completely invisible for 2 hours with no penalty for it besides slow movement is called stealth.

Cut and past to me where it says that gw2 isnt going to me portals? Becuase as to my knowlede it is still going to be. It's just if your make a pvp char your not. PLUS!!! the portals cut down lag time and save people the frustration of someone they needed say for a quest to kill to respawn five minutes later, the portals give GW2 a more ''real'' aspect. AND i prefer it to be that way. Plus the game being ported in all allows every one to play on one server, which makes for a better gaming experience.

Honestly the best thing about GW2 is the  every changing enviroment and the new jump climb swim and what not.If you dont like the population stop complaining and go to a new game. It's free so it's not like it's going to hurt you. PLUS the P2P dosent help the population any. Hype does. WOW attracts more little kids and in my opinion wow has more asshats then any game. GW is just something diffrent it's a MMO but in it's own way. It's something new and it's keeping the other MMO creaters on their toes. GW broke ground for new gen MMO's everywhere and everyone knows thats a fact, just the mere fact that it's FREE.

Also, you can't really rely on a whole bunch of stuff like WOW has becuase GW came from nothing, the armor is dull and so are the characters for GW  BUT with GW2 that will be changed. The only thing, in my eyes, that GW lacks is uniqness among players, which in my opinion is something alot of people look for. I think a character template is nice to have, kinda like what daoc did.

Actually last i read(if my memory serves me correctly) The level cap in GW2 is going to be raised.

I think they arnt going to have a lvl cap but you stop getting stronger after a ceartain level. I dont remember.

I like only havin to go to 20  cause then is whe nthe challenge starts.

Why though? If it's the end of the GW1 saga why not just free open two more slots? Did they say they werent going to do it? Or are you just basing it off the fact it's not a campaign? Because i have yet to read that they arnt going to open slots or are going to..im just saying if they don't that's ...not cool,not cool at all.

Yeah WOW's  PVP sucked!!! What type of game has capture the flag? seriously! Even though GW pvp still...isn't all that great it is still good, i've played worse but DAoC is the best,want good strong up beat all the time pvp....DAoC is where it's at but with two prices. 12 bucks a month (but after a year it goes down a dollor until you hit 0 making it free aswell.) and there might not be any one,and i do mean anyone on that day. But all around DAoC is probably the best mmorpg i have played. GW..is in it's own field.

Now that i think about it. The enviroment is going to be really really cool...with the ever changing ingame enviroment, killing things will just be more fun. Can't wait to see that first person port in becuase he didnt kill the dragon and it burned down his bridge so he had to port in then port out and do it again.

Personally i cant wiat for GW2 to come out. Playable races, new classes, new worlds, new missions, NEW STORYLINE! My favorite thing about GW would be that it's a MMORPG with a storyline and when you beat it it's like beating a actual game, plus the storyline is better then alot of console games. Other MMORPGs just have expansion packs with storys about why it has arisin or why it's there,how it got there but really never does it feed into beatign a boss and making it go away. I dont know. GW 2 will be a marking stone for all MMORPGS to beat i think.

My  biggest thing is if GW:EN will open up two more slots so everybody can have all the classes. But since it's not another campaign and just an extension i dont know if they are. They havent said it  in the features. And im looking forward to taking my mesmer through EN and dominating. I hope it's harder and i can't solo it with my heroes like i am with my warrior. Basically im looking forward to it just because its a guild wars game and GW is the best MMO i've played. Beats the hell out of WoW and is on par with DAOC. Even though  it could use a few things to make it better but what the hell. It's free and good.

Thats really all i need to know, i would like to think i have a monster mesmer build but warrior is new to me and i just wnat to know others opinions that they did for their warrior.

LDP is a brand new guild. Mainly im just looking for alot of friendly helpful people, noobs or veterns of the game.   Also, im trying to build a strong guild for future GVG,AB,PVP. and also guild farming, and guild events.  Either leave a message here with your game name or add me, Trace Gale, and i will check this forum and im a very active player.
