I actually just went back in to have a look its been a bit and wow all I can say is the community has taken a big turn for the worst the attitudes are just WoW and that is or isn't a pun,I am juts floored at the "look down your nose" attitude I was actually thinking of goin back but no need now.

FE is a good game,but it aint that good.

I hate the tutorial with a passion luckily it's short and can be skipped by your other characters once completed the first time, I love the game people that like stats and depth will love FE ppl that are instant gratification types will freaking hate it,as for the people in between who knows,some will like it some wont it doesn't make it a bad game.

Gotta remember they are being overrun with question complaints bot reports obviously their response is going to be slower.

If you think the leveling in Aion is  to grindy then I suggest you need to find a new genre to play,as Aion has made it as painless as possible.

If this decision stands, we should all expect massive price increases designed to choke off competition. One way or another, we foresee higher prices, lower service standards, and little if any innovation.

Sign the petition along with the tens of thousands of other Canadian's that have already and tell the CRTC to reverse this decision.

Aion has a grind, it is just closer to the end game, north american players are just weak. They wan to be the best witout actually putting in the effort. The Koreans have been playing th game for a year already, no issues, but as soon as the game comes over here apperently it will fail without the might american fan base.

These people need to get real, Aion is a great game, if you say it isnt you havent played it, and if you played it and still say it isnt, you have no idea what a great game is, and wouldnt if it bit you in the ass. Compare aions beta to everything released after WoW, sure it had lag and connection issues, that was the point of open beta also known as a fucking stress test which had so many morons talking about quitting. But it was not only extremly polished, for being a beta game, it was smooth, the graphics are amazing and look amazing even on extremly low end computers. The combat system is familar with new elements like the chain skill system and yes, the stigmas which is a stolen concept from guild wars which makes it that much more interesting,

The mounts arent in game yet, but the devs already said they are going to implement them, and they wont be mounts, but most likely special wings which make the most sense, personally i think a incombat out of combat flight mode would more then suffice.

The game has every popular western feature, plus some of the great korean ones, like fortress sieges which is basically  like lineage 2 castle system, they also have the open world pvp system, both the auction house and the stall system. A meaningful crafting system, the first game in a long time that made pve,pvp and crafting gear on par with each other, so you dont feel like  a tool for maxing out crafting to find out it is absolutely useless.

 

Aion isnt for everyone, but please, cut the bullshit, you people trashing the game for some of the stupidest fucking reasons ever need to stop. The sooner you realize that progression in this genre is creating an Improved WoW clone the sooner you will stop expecting a game to shatter the fucking mold when it launches.

It would just be bad business, since WoW is a collection of features that  the MMO community actually love, gotten used too and refuse to do without.

Aion will be fine long term theres no doubt,the amount of content is pretty staggering,already played the 1.5 end game content and theres a tonne of it.

Getting to lvl 50 is in noway an easy feat even with the massive amount of quests.

No doubt thats what some did but NC has never measured pre orders in that way so I don't see why they would start now,if they used unconfirmed numbers then yes you would see AoC and WaR type numbers.

I don't care though if people have issues with Aion,I love it an thats all that matters no amount convincing is going to change some peoples minds.

I played Korean OB and retail and the C Aion upto NA launch,my wife still plays Korean retail,Aion has some of the best longevity in a game yet,either you havnt played endgame Aion or you just don't like pvp.

As for the numbers I kind of understand with all the ppl on one hand saying its great and others saying its the worst thing ever people are naturaly wary of buying it,especially after the TR thing.

Those numbers are actualy pre orders bought and paid for.

Mounts have already been confirmed as well as Legion housing,and yes flying at the start of the game is restrictive but @ 25 you should forget all about it.

I think he refers to the fact that it went up 38 mins late,or possibly the rubberbanding issues from having 50K + players all try to login at once,or it could be the 10 min server downtime to address server stability,or maybe he is complaining about the network servers "which NC does not own" that are imploding from massive congestion on route to the NC servers.

People make me laugh,OB was for 1.5 implementation if you thought for a min that it was going to be some smooth playing happy fun time,I feel sorry for ya.

Sli and tri sli is the biggest freaking marketing BS campaign since smoking,it's total BS unless your doing like medical grade analysis and need 2560 resolution or doing auto cad .I have been PC gaming for 20+ years NOONE in their right mind uses 2560 yet for the simple reason that the textures arnt available and the GPU's don't process it properly 1680 is the new 1024 and will be for the next 5 years minimum,so save your money.

Anyone that  plays PC's knows that its BS,is it really worth 1400 dollars to play crysis 14 fps better then the next person,imo that just validates these companys that are expanding development timelines which have been increasing,NOT DECREASING.

The memory on the cards are  weak,a single GTX 295 will best your duals hands down,some will argue that the GTX mem is weak coming in at under 2 gigs but this is all relative and functional memory and much too technical to go into.

BUT

Don't get suckerd into this myth that 3 seperate GPUs and 2 GPU's are going to give you some massive benefit,most people dont run their games @2560  the majority right now run at 1280x1024 and 1680x1050 you WILL SEE A MINIMIM benefit to running multi gpus somewhere around 8-16 fps when running at standard resolutions, is this really worth seven to fourteen hundred dollars then yes look into it.

If you don't run a resolution of 2560 its kinda pointless to run dual gpus and,ridiculous if you do imo.If you have the money by all meens have at it but most of us don't and that xtra 400 to 600 dollars can be spent on things that will expand performance like memory and cpu.

10.1 DX  is another gimmick let the standard make itself and when 10.0 games are standard then I can see the the standard being expanded,as of now dx9.0 games make the majority of the market .

But hey some people they just have money to burn or no concept of the value of a dollar and for that capitalism thanks you ;)

Short answer yes,a GTX295 or Radeon 4870 will be a significant improvement over your dual 8800's and should keep you future proof for around 2 years.

I don't know what game your playing but in Aion you can have 10 hotbars and place then anywhere verticaly horizontally  or grouped.

Re skining the GUI will be done just like all other NC games,Developers don't much care what you do aestheticly as long as your not modding the code or reverse engineering stuff  or decompiling.

Yep no doubt Robert Garriot being CEO of NC was just madness,primarily NC's fault but it was something that was done specificaly done to garner more of  a NA following.Robert is definately the more competent of the two.

TR's code being scrapped the first time is what killed it,this was a monumnetal failiure by everyone involved.5+ years for a game is just too much of an investment to ask of any game company
