Cancelled my order and got the digital download.

Made a dwarf champion named Vilkas on Landroval if someone wants to play!

Well, I bought the special edition of the game online for $10( its coming in 7 to 11 days, was a cheap ass to get the faster shipping) and I got a few questions before I actually start playing the game....

1- I played a few trials now and I tried a couple of the classes but I can't decide which race/class combo I want to do( Hobbit Burglar and Dwarf Champion are the two most appealing ones right now). What do you recommend as a great starter class that won't have too much trouble getting into groups?

2- I heard that Landroval and Brandywine are two of the better servers. Which one do you reccomend for the better community?

3- How does player housing work in this game? Is there a specific plot of land where someone can go and physically see it before entering( like SWG)?

4- I had the fishing hobby on my hobbit( fished for what must of been 4 hours lol) and I cought some hug goldfish. It said I can get it mounter. Does that mean I can hang it up in my house?

5- What are some pros and cons of each race, beside the description the game gives you( I know humans get some sorf ot 3k heal) is there something like this for other races?

6- Is it too late for me to start so I can enjoy the late game raids? Get to the level cap before the expansion?

7- How much time do you have to put into raiding end-game for this? Does it take you weeks to do it or can you get it done in one sitting?

8- Is there a lot of eng-game content once you hit 50?

9- There is some sort of item you can get with the special edition.. Anyone know what it is or what does it do?

I never read the LOTR books. My only knowledge comes from the movies so when I started playing this game, I was completely lost. Instead of seing familiar places like Rohan, I started out in areas I never heard of before.

Where can I find a site that will bring me up to speed with the LOTR lore and help me understand where all those beginning areas fit into the LOTR world.

One more question..

Is the player housing in this game instanced or is it like SWG where you can just be running around and you can see it from a distance?

Well, the guild that just started on Kett is Imperial. So I guess that makes us the "bad guys". Just remember, from what I heard, Alderaan shot first!

Seriously though, the other guilds suggested going imperial to balance out PVP - implying more rebels in the GCW than imperials. I personally cannot confirm this, but that was the logic...

 

Also storm trooper armor is still the coolest :)

I tried downloading the Trial twice and it said that i am missing the second file( when its right there on my desktop, it could not detect it) so I got an error and could not start playing :\

Just curious, is the guild the good guys or the bad guys? I forgot what the two factions are called :P

1. Brandywine is the biggest pop server, landroval for rp is pretty big.

 

2. Haven't done much Pvp. But it player vs. monster player. At ten you have the ability to make a monster that is level 50 and play them only in 1 zone (right now) Regular chars can go into that zone at 40. Other people can tell you more.

 

3. Whatever you like to play.

 

4. Housing yes. You can get a house at 20 I think. 3 different sizes.

 

5. PLays very similar to WoW so that will help you, but in my opinion does many things better than WoW. Don't rush to the level cap like other games. This game is about the journey not the destination. If you play with this mind set this game is the best. If you rush to the end there isn't enough to hold you over. Its made for the casual not the powerleveler/raider.

I have a 10 day buddy-key that has no restrictions if you want it. With the reg. trial you you cant use tells unless they are in your friendlist and no AH or mailbox. Let me know

Yeah I been looking to give this game a try as well but I can't get my hands on a trial.

I am downloading the game as we speak and will start up with you guys!

I have a few questions:

Is there any real pvp left in the game?

I am looking to start either a BH, Commando, or a Jedi. Is there any real difference of the strenght of those classes? What would you recommend to use as a main character?

I am not sure why I enjoyed this game so much. If I actually had someone to play this then I think I would never stop playing it lol..

I am a respectful person and I would roll any class you guys want me to, no objections.

Active members

Good guild leader

Preferably a web site( even if it's an xfire page)

A fun enviorment

Age of Conan must be the guilds main game!

Raiding experience( 70 in WoW)
