I wouldn't mind playing a pure healing class, anything to get through the lvling process easily at the cost of someone else defending me... and making everyone 'my bitch'. The way I see it, playing as any class, taking on whatever role in a group, you'll still only be mashing buttons of your keyboard/gamepad. |

lol so if I ever see your character, assuming it'll be a female, just standing there inactive for about 5-30 mins, it doesn't mean that mom called you in the dining room for supper time? jk jk |

I'm proud to say that I am 150 lbs, 6' tall with very clear looking skin, go to gym, in some sports, in karate, drink, gamble, don't watch anime or read manga, etc.. |

Too many DPS-wanting people on this thread. I might as well be a tank(which is it? Templar?) to balance it out. |

The environment is breathtaking and the character classes are impressive-looking, I just hope that they're not all just for show. As for the monsters shown, I hope one doesn't need to wait until end-game to get a glimpse of those fierce monsters. Impressive videos nonetheless. |

I fail to see how someone would post for guild recruitment on a game THAT HAS NOT BEEN RELEASED YET, why bother? A) Completely forget about this said game by simply waiting for it to be released and to be distracted by another MMORPG. B) Completely forget about YOU and your 'GUILD' and join another guild due to the fact that nobody cares about a guy blowing off hot air about a supposed elite guild that MIGHT happen. C) <insert another obvious reason to why your 'recruiting' for a guild that doesn't exist, is idiotic>
Just wait until you actually get onto the game when it comes out, hell, you're probably not even part of the beta testing team, much less don't know in the slightest how this game works. Be patient, wait until the game is released, wait until you actually see fans of the future game PLAYING the game instead of recruiting people that say they MIGHT play when the release date comes around... If they'll have the patience to wait that long.

I suppose you're right, I was expecting another FFXI, not necessarily slow paced, but very group oriented like that game. For WoW, it's the MMORPG I've seen that's the least group oriented, other than runescape(because you can't group) of course, sure there's those end-game instances but on the way towards end-game you can do it all by yourself without getting into a guild or adding anyone on your friend's list. As for FFXI you actually need to group to advance through the game, level and story-wise, if you've ever played FFXI you'd know exactly what I'm talking about. Forgive me if I showed any hatred towards this game, you can understand that I don't want another WoW... :( |

Upon updating my knowledge of Aion, I've been reading these forums and viewing screenshots, came to the conclusion that this will definitely be an MMORPG like FFXI. ...Until I start to view these in game battle trailers on youtube, they disappoint me so... Very much... Too similar to WoW, just the look of it makes me sick to my stomach, like bad alcohol poisoning at 3AM. Here, I was hoping this game would be like FFXI or Lineage(I've played this one a little) but this... Abomination of a battle system... Can solo multiple enemies at the same time, seemingly too many abilities given to the player to use in battle. All hints and clues of another MMORPG duplicating WoW's insanely easy battle system. FFXI had class, difficulty and in NEED of partying ALOT. In WoW, you can basically solo your way to the max lvl. In FFXI, from lvl 5 you have difficulty reaching to that lvl 10 on your own(I'm talking about the first time through the lvling curve), after lvl 10-15 you have to begin SOCIALIZING with people to get into groups for exp because those monsters seemingly 'easy prey' don't seem so easy on your own anymore. I'm not talking about dungeons or instances, I'm talking about normal, killing random monsters for exp. I could go on about how disappointed I am to see that Aion's battle system seems like WoW. I'd like to know if anyone else shares the same dread feeling towards Aion upon knowing this fact. Thanks. |

Has the WAR beta version already started?
General Discussion « WAR (Warhammer Online) 7/13/07 3:29:27 PM
Has it already been released and up and running? It must've been almost 2 weeks since I signed up for the beta testing and everyday since then I've been loging into their website and this one for more info, but no avail. Is there any info or indication that the developpers have already selected people for the beta version? Anything that I might've missed completely? If they already did, oh well too bad for me lol, although I spent 2-3 hours registering for the beta testting and tried to sum in 1000 characters why I should be picked for the beta testing(as it was required during registration). |

They're nice scenery pics. The picture with the red skinned monsters remind of orcs from warcraft, which in turn, reminds me of WoW and I don't want to be reminded of even think of lolWoW again... Nice pictures all in all. |
