I see that this game still has no hope of releasing before the summertime. lol Everytime I come here to look at Aion, which is like every month or two, it's being pushed back by at least a few months. :P Oh well I'll still patiently wait for it. :) |

I bought the Collector's Edition, it's all they had and it was being sold for $19.99. I decided to buy it because it was futuristic. I'm not even at lvl 10 and I already dread this game. What's there to even look forward to in later levels? |

1. Will this game require groups? 2. Will the game have you lose exp everytime you die?
1. I f*cking hope so! 2. I 'double' f*cking hope so! FFXI was a prime example of an MMORPG, it made people think twice about being suicidal. Depending on your situation and chances of getting a party next time with your current job/subjob, people were required to think before acting. Weighing consequence versus the need to deathport. I loved how people were scared half to death about dying in FFXI, it was epic. Now with WoW and it's predecessors, everyone's all like zomglolzzzidyedlolzzz!!1111!!1. The game just didn't tolerate noobness unlike WoW. There's a reason why there was a Leeroy Jenkins in WoW and not in FFXI. ;)

Damm that user for getting my hopes up. In retaliation, I'll make fun of him not being able to speak 'engrish fruentry' :D |

Can you move around while in vendor status? FFXI was my first real MMORPG, I found it nice that I could sell stuff and walk around without having to keep shouting and pressing the trade function. After playing games that had the vendor function, but you had to stay in place to do so, I was like... WTF?
It's lame to having to stay put while selling stuff. |

I was worried it would've been like WoW, to me Blizard just seems to adore their Horde races, they just seem much more interesting and have better racial abilities, whereas the Alliance races are just kinda boring and have racial abilities that nobody uses. :/
...and how can you pick your guild already before the game has been released? I never quite understood that. |

I always thought it was something a step higher to anime. Make an anime 3D, make it look REALLY good because 3D animes just look horrible in my opinion, and actually make the characters look asian. I like anime to a degree, but one thing that pissed me off is when anime artists make a character, then they say he/she is Japanese, yet their character would obviously look western. You just can't deny the fact that people with asian decent have one type of eyes and that westerners have another type of eyes. Anyhow, the Aion's graphics... A+ |

After watching a good portion of all the game footage, I noticed that the Asmodians are getting their asses kicked left, right and center by the frail-looking, pretty-boi Elyos. If there is a video where it's the other way around, I might have missed it. It just seems to me that NCSoft might just place their favor for the Elyos, and that would be a shame. Elyos might get more 'stuff' if my guess is right. I personnally am picking an Asmodian, and granted that all classes are available for both races, I will be chosing the Cleric class(is that what it's called?) simply to try to balance out the game. To me it would seem that the majority of the Aion fans will pick Elyos, my reason for wanting to choose Asmodian, and for Cleric well let's face it, nobody wants to be the healer in a MMORPG and I haven't seen too many of those in all of the MMORPG's I've played. I'm just concerned that Asomdians will have the shitty end of the stick. Has anyone else noticed this? |

I clicked on that link, and you said it will be a live feed? Hmm. Well it's working, but just doesn't seem to show anything other than in-game footage that you would see on youtube. Guess I'll really have to wait until nov. 11th lol |

This game seems an exact copy of HelloKittyOnline. Or perhaps it's the other way around? |

Graphics are decent, make you think that you're playing Kingdom Hearts, although the rubbish storyline will make you think otherwise. There's not much room for role playing except for finding your 'soul mate' in game and act like a little jealous bitch if someone else hits on him/her(losers...). Can't say that it'll be fun for most people after week #2(I've lasted 2 months). Community at the starter area is just a bunch of spammer bots advertising their crap AsdaStory Gold websites that nobody would go to, finding a good guild that is populated and active is a very rare find. Performance on the game is very piss poor... No joke. The 'customer service' guys would rather work on improving their item shop that most of them are full of glitches or just don't work, not to mention that nobody goes on it, than to work on the feature that is the most important to their game; the instances, which seem to screw up and become inaccessible every week or so for some reason. This is a VERY HELPFUL warning for mmorpg.com users to STAY AWAY from this game. Not worth registering and downloading.
Yeah, yeah, I probably could've said that this game is good for in-between MMORPG's or waiting for that next big MMORPG, but truth is, that it's very much not so. |

This game still isn't out? To the casual gamer, like myself, as well as for a mmorpg.com member that only visits once a month, we don't care why/when/where/how/omgwtfbbq/lawl the release date is going to be pushed or not. We want it NOW, plain and simple. No if's or but's about it. NOTE: That Hype-level has gone way down since the time that I imput my Hype-level. See what happens when you don't give gamers like me what we want NOW?!

I've installed the game, and that the first screen you have Story Mode, Network Mode, Offical Website, etc. etc. First time through went well, but when I went on Story Mode the screen was too small for me, so I quit the game and clicked on the PSU icon again to set my options and play the game again with my desired settings. Gameguard loads up and it seems to be done loading until I get this window popping up; nProtect GameGuard - Tachyon AntiVirus Virus has been detected on your PC. Would you like to stop the infected program from being executed? virus(spyware) name: Worm/W32.Agent.1956386 status: Healable path: 'whereever I decided to install PSU'
Now here's the thing, he allows me two options, Yes(Heal) or No(Ignore). I've tried both options, No just won't let the game play and Yes brings me to the gameguard website and it offers to scan my PC for viruses, and here you go it shows the 'virus' that it detected earlier and now wants me to pay a fee so that I may 'heal' it or whatever the fuck it means by that. I've bought this game when it first came out back in '06, and I didn't have this BS problem before, and I sure as hell ain't paying an additional fee for a full version of a second-rate virus scanner, it's just not happening. I decided to uninstall and then reinstall the game again. It always goes back to the same thing, the game will work the first time after the install, but everytime after that it'll keep bring up that ridiculous window for a virus that was never there before that's supposedly coming from the program. Please can someone offer some advice on this matter? |

Bring in the game rather than torture-tease us with more gorgeous screenshots! |

I would totally pick Cleric for that sole reason. I have alot of play time and I know others have even more play time than myself. As a Cleric, everytime I would log on, someone would be shouting for a healer. Gotta reach to the top the fastest way possible. =) |

It's a cute game, but all you do is grind on quests really.. And some of the game is bugged, which the game company has not fixed for several weeks, so alot of people have been leaving the game. |

word. FFXI was a most innovative and fun MMORPG from the time it was released, no doubt about it. |
