I noticed a lot of people interested in the game have come asking questions about the world and such. I want to share this map that I think will help both new and prospective Darkfall players understand the world.

This is -THE- tool used by players to find things. (Like Thottbot for WoW). Just click the sidebar to see locations of everything from player cities to npc cities to spawns to housing villages.

I think people misunderstand when DF plays say "empty world."

We mostly mean that you can run for a long time without seeing anyone. The world is packed full of spawns and random little structures, dungeons, you name it. Its not as if you run for hours in open fields, its just that the world is so big you would need tens of thousands of players concurrently to fill it.

Casuals do fine because pretty much all PvP happens in groups.

1v1 depends on skills and gear somewhat... but thats no different than any other MMO if you think about it

This risk is low if you plan it well.

99% of the risk happens at the trade posts themselves, once ur outside that area and mounted its easy to travel safely. If you use a small group it can be pretty profitable... maybe 5 people investing 20k gold each and 1 scout who runs ahead of them.

The game doesn't really exist yet... theres barely anything in-game so its gonna be a few years before the game is even playable.

Go to Darkfall.

Joining the EU server was a mistake. EU is totally dead... go NA if you unless you like to solo in an empty world.

We get it, resistances are whacked with AV's knee jerk magic fix, but spouting off isn't going to fix it any faster.

EQ2 has the illusionist and the coercer as CC classes.

They do seem to indeed be dead or dying though.

This will be first time ever that a community has made me "Quit" playing a MMO EVER. Its like 90% of all the bottom feeders from every MMO dwell in Darkafall  I really hate to say It because I also meet some cool people but No lie a good chunk are pricks that I feel have very ,very,very low self esteam in real life so they feel the need to be smart asses in game to prove something because they are losers IRL.

Beats me though I will never understand nerd rage in a game, who knows /Getlaid lol anyway this game is good, Its a shame that the people ruin is game so much that I quit.

Yet Darkfall has the shitty community? LOL, the hypocrisy is thick. You belong in Darkfall for making cry threads like this.

There's more teamwork and coordination in L4D than most MMOs.

It's not because of stuff like healthbars or not seeing enough stats... its just the fact that MMO combat has become so numbed down and solo friendly. Combat is so ridiculously easy theres no need to actually "try" hard or use advanced tactics. In games like Darkfall and UO this doesn't apply because healing people and targeting people isn't blatently easy like most MMOs.

A 9 year old can properly heal a group in WoW or dish DPS. There's no teamwork in those games because its just clicking a target and cycling F-keys. If you want to fix grouping you need to fix the shitty combat.

Theres morons on both sides, but theres a big difference between failing to answer "why are you here, why do you like this person"  and asking social studies questions regarding the government.

He released Tabula Rasa... a true steamy pile. I don't think he's doing anything now. It's sad really... there's not much future hope for a UO style game.

There's a lot of little girls in the world with parents willing to pay 10 bucks for a movie... thats how it sold so much.
