Pre-ordered both, just hope I actually get some time to play them, works pretty hectic at the moment

If you have a fat wallet, its good for wallet weight loss ;-)

If you expect to get rich quick, you couldn't be more wrong though ;-)

Sweet videos :)

Can't wait to try it out myself :)

having visited their website, and after viewing mmorpg interview ,i believe in the long term this is the best way to get new various mmo,rmt is a big ? but no doubt their way of releasing new mmo is top notch

listen to to the interview he explain it in detail ,this way is very promissing

I'm still not sure that in the current economic climate, RMT based games are such a great idea

men this game is very hard to get detailed info about, either its old news like last year or bashing about the negative of real money transaction aside from the very obvious and detailled bad rep about this game.

With good reason, There are some people who've been burned by the game, but in contrast there are people who are doing well because of the game.

That said, there's been 'some' effort by MindArk & FPC to get more info out to the general populous.

what are the big point

Its a sandbox, you can play pretty much however you'd like to, within budget of course.

what server to play if any

No need to select a server, you just go straight in. This game has no zone-lines or server boundaries, or rather, they don't work the same way in this game.

recommended settings

Graphically as low as possible for low end machines.

Internet Connection: ADSL or better

Operating System: Windows XP or Vista

Do you use Vista and have download or installation issues?

Right click on the client software icon
Select 'Run as administrator' option

Computer Processor: Intel Core duo or AMD Athlon 64 X2 Series or better.

Computer Memory: 2048 MB RAM or more

Graphics Card (with latest drivers): NVIDIA GeForce 8800 Series or better / ATI Radeon 2900 series or better.

DirectX: Version 9.0c

Sound Device: Direct X compatible sound device

Screen Resolution: 1024 x 768 pixels

Hard Drive Space: 10 GB of free space

I heard some had problem on login, how can i prevent my graphic card from burning aside from not playing.

There's no known fix for this problem, and there are very few reported cases of this problem.

My replies in blue. Most of the info you've asked for is on planetcalypso.com

Perhaps I should give it a go? I've heard the client is rather large, however. I'd need a DVD or something 'cause the internet infrastructure is sub-par.

Give it a break you two just chill, relax and enjoy your preferred video game with a nice ice cold beer

I don't know why MindArk or FPC didn't think of a live stream first though. It might be something that would actually boost player numbers. Give them a little taste of the game that simple text based advertisements and word of mouth won't necessarily work with.

But anyhoo, good to see the powers that be rolling out VU 10.1 sooner rather then later.

I'm trying not to promote the game until all the systems are correctly working, including the free activities...

Kinda pointless at the moment.

It looks good in some settings, while others are a huge mess. They really need to fire the map designer. I feel like trees and shrubbery were just tossed around on the ground with no thought of aethetic quality.

I completely agree about the trees and shrubbery. There's not coherent feel right now. I wish they'd get rid of the old bland building textures, too, that still feature at places like Atlas Haven.

Agreed. (Message too short)

It looks nice, mostly, but I'm reserving any sort of Judgement till VU 10.3 at the earliest.

Yes, that renders this post worthless, but hey, that's life ;-)

Back to killing Argo's...

Yes, Indeedy ;-)

I dunno, I'm moving from WoW, mainly due to the length of time its taking to reverse a Battle.net account merger (Its funny though, because I'd not played in two weeks prior to the event) that was not initiated or authorised by myself. Its been almost a week.

I cannot access my account no matter what I do... Though to thwart the compromiser (is that a word?) I've removed my Paypal billing agreement.

I've sent them numerous emails via there webform and via my own private email, I'd ring them, but currently I live alone and have a nasty throat infection and can't really talk without great pain, and when I do you can barely hear me.

I'm hoping it clears up in a few days so I can get back to work, and so I can give them a ring ASAP.

Bad customer service by any stretch of the imagination.

Good to see LL cracking the whip.

It may fail again, but time, as they say, will reveal all.

Small developers deon't really get much of a chance at E3, Its all about the big boys.

According to Entropia Gateway, Version Update 10 (or the “CryENGINE2-conversion”) is now in (internal) testing phase, so hopefully we'll be able to see it go live sometime before Q2 2010.

Anyhoo, more information should come in the next few weeks, pending evaluation.

More information here

Just a note that the deadline for the competition is THIS monday, the first of June, so get those entries in ;)

(Sorry, I can't link to where I saw this)

The "real cash" economic model is a turn off for some people, and hence, is why it only appeals to certain types of people.

For one of those people to even download and play, they'd have to get the same or better bang for their buck they could get elsewhere...

If WoW had a "real cash" model and EU had a "P2P" or "F2P"  model, well the populations "might" be reversed, or not...

There is one more way to get money, and dont know why no one is talking about it. Oil rig. Place in middle of PvP zone, crawling with Atroxes where oil barrel is spawn every 5-15 min. Each barrel is worth between 5 and 15 ped, so if u can survive long enough its great way to make money. Was there, done that. I make my way from zero to over 40,000 ped in 3 years. No minning, hunting, just pure rigging 2-4 hours per day. Thinkin about it like an extra job. After 3 years cash out and leave with almost 4000$.

Surviving at the oil rig these days would involve a pretty significant outlay of PK equipment and the ability to fend off high maturity atrox. Sure, it's possible, but not for the beginner, or even the mid-level player.

As I found out one day, Ahh, the memories ;-)

If you've got the money and the skills, sure, I'd recommend it ;-)

Its not an easy game to master, that's for sure ;-)
