Well most of the battletech/mechwarrior community is referring to it as Mechwarrior 3015. But yeah it is the first in the new series essentially making it Mechwarrior 1. Cheers |

Who gives a damn. I say let her be who she wants to be and the media keep their grubby noses out of her business. |

Pirahna Games has been releasing in game footage of their unannounced game in production. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6V2ysIq180&feature=channel The game is said to run on the Unreal 3 engine and that this is actual in game footage. The Mechwarrior community is buzzing with activity. Long time since that has happened. Expect details on the game to be released on thursday when Pirahna games and Smith and Tinker (owners of the mechwarrior IP) hold a press meeting.

Niether one will be " The Next Big Thing ". But that doesn't mean they won't be good either. They don't have the mass appeal that games like WoW or EQ has. But going off a hunch. I'd say TOR will be very big here in the west simply because it's Star Wars. So I've got my money on TOR (though I don't plan on playing it |

Having spent ALOT of time in both games. I'd say that if you want to do alot of PvP Guild Wars is for you. But if you want to do lot's of PvE WoW is the way to go. So. PvP - Guild Wars PvE - World of warcraft Also if you're not looking to spend alot of money Guild Wars would be cheaper. |

Maybe anet will release details about the book this september at PAX and give us a little progress report on Guild Wars 2. If they dont release the game before all three books are out then we wont see GW2 for a loooooooooooong time. And if i'm not mistaken the third book in the series isn't due to release untill sometime in 2011, that means we wont see GW2 until almost 2012... Not even sure i'll be able to devote any time to gaming in that point of my life so bye bye GW if that happens.. Praying for a PAX update. |

Well you can thank M$ (microsoft) for stopping mechwarrior production on the PC and porting it over to f*cking xbox and watering it down to a dumbified dumb fest. Those bastards were only concerned about $$$$$$ and didnt care if mechwarrior went down with their plans. And I hope they burn in hell for it. Now that M$ got their fat lazy asses off the IP and sold it to the development studio behind the MW PC series we might see some good mechwarrior titles come out soon. |

Why hasn't there been a MechWarrior MMO?

I think a Mechwarrior MMO simulator would be cool. Could give it the sandbox form of EvE. Except instead of fighting in ships in space you fight on planets in mechs. You could ally yourself with the clans or the inner sphere and choose an allegience to fight under and then find your squad/guild from there. So from the get go you'll: 1) Create your character avatar 2) Choose to be Free birth (IS) or Clanner (Clan) 3) Choose your allegiance: Inner Sphere - Fed Suns, FRR, Capellans, Draconis Combine, Lyrans, WoB Clans - Clan Wolf, Clan Ghost Bear, Clan Jade Falcon, Clan Steel Viper, Clan Coyote Mercenaries! - Hansens Rough Riders, Eridani Light Horse, Kell Hounds, Grey Death Legion 4) Find a squad/guild Of coarse you would start off with a light mech, and perform PvE missions on your own or with your squad to get your c-bills rolling. After that you and your guild can claim a planet or an entire star system to call your home or base of operations. You can build structures on your planets that give you benefits. Like a satelite uplink for communications, an armory to store your stolen, salvaged or manufactured weapons. And a mech bay to store your mechs. Battletech has alot of politics in it so there would need to be a simliar political system as seen in EvE. A battletech game like this would consume my life.

1) AN AUCTION HOUSE!! No more trying to type out messages in an already overcrowded trade channel. 2) Ranger Trapping a viable and SOUGHT FOR playstyle in PvP and PvE. (even though this probably won't happen) 3) Keep all the core classes (and their names).
