IS THERE ANY GOOD FREE MMORPG (or with micropayments)

The first thing to do is to lower your expectations of what free games can offer. Unfortunately if you want a good MMORPG you're going to have to pay for it (although even then it's hit and miss) Guildwars is your best bet for F2P, if you can stump up the initial cost. |

Unfortunately in many cases (but by no means all) you pay for what you get; therefore free games tend not to have the high production values of monthly fee games released by big companies. I'd suggest lowering your expecations of F2P games... or try Guild Wars. |

So what you're basically talking about is non-instanced PvP objectives? I may be completely misreading your post but isn't that already implemented in WoW currently with building/town captures as well as a PvP-dedicated zone in the next patch? I don't know much about other MMORPG's but i'm sure they too have a similar system. |

OK so Blizzard may have taken some inspiration from a franchise that was massively popular back in the day (namely Warhammer tabletop gaming) when they created their franchise, but in turn Mythic will have taken certain ideas and concepts from WoW, which is undeniably the most popular MMORPG out there at the moment. And so the circle is complete. |

One thing I hope all future MMO's implement...Rest XP

Being a true casual gamer I can fully agree with the decision in certain mmo's to introduce rested XP. As much as I enjoy these games, I have never fully understood the 'hardcore' mentality of players who can grind out level after level. In fact the ONLY time I am motivated to level my characters is when they are rested. However, this doesn't mean I will level any faster than a hardcore player, in fact you could give me 400% XP bonuses and i'd still take forever (such is my play style). The point is that it is all relative - rested XP or not, casual players will never out-do hardcore players for getting to the end game first, or getting that epic item before anyone else. Both ends of the gaming spectrum get their reward at the end of the day, so i personally don't see a problem with it. |

So you're looking for a game that has the ground based gameplay of WoW, and the space-based gameplay of EVE/SWG... that's free?? Good luck with that |

I had this same problem - the reason is that the file is Read Only. What you need to do is right click on the file, select properties and uncheck the 'Read Only' box. And voila! You can save! |
