Kinda disappointed with the plot story so far. I know its too early to tell for sure but it just seems too generic - ancient evil (being dragons lately)  vs. the special one. Hope I'm wrong. :)

Eq2 PVP has always been good, 1v1 there are some classes that will destroy others, its rock paper scissors and it is fine.WoW tries to balance everything and its a losing approach ( and a huge waste of development resources ).I do agree if they go down this path ( to try and balance everything ) they will fail and spend way too much $$ there.

 

Grouping is great. Roles are great. Wow has taken the approach where every class can do everything and it really has watered down that game for me personally. ( i think pvp balance had alot to do with it )

Actually it isnt. Its not the same thing but its pretty damn close.

The bottom line is that this wasnt a community contest of some sort. It was a giveaway - anybody who registered could get a key so ppl registered and took theirs.  Sorry but you will just have to deal with that.

Im looking forward to both titles and really hope that they both rock but somehow I doubt it (considering the "big" mmos that came out since wow).

Now that I think more about it... It is essential for mankind that one of them sucks cause we all know if two (or more) mmos are great at the same time the world implodes. DOOOOOOM!  :)

Think you're missing the point.  The whole purpose is for them to generate traffic to the site and get new users.  That's what "this" contest is about.  Have you gotten previous betas from this site?  I bet you have..  How much are you entitled to as a regular user?  You're not paying a fee for this site.  If you were, I would agree with you.  Bottom line is sites like this use beta keys to generate interest in their site.

Come on now people. You are making an issue out of nothing. So what if someone made a profile a day or two ago? Its not against the rules of this giveaway. Imho it would have made more sense for MMORPG.com to serve its long time members first but they didnt... so stop hating on people who registered recently and were faster than you (and me) at spamming refresh.

I would like to see a Discworld mmo mainly because the IP doesnt limit the potential developer. Almost anything is possible in Discworld. Truly amazing IP

The First Law trilogy by Joe Abercrombie would be nice too.
