Errr because that might show that hes not just blatantly standing up for the game just because he loves the origonal idea maybe? isnt that what a fanboy does? lol.

Seriously though..is the game really broken? or is it rather people dont like the style of the game? i mean i rarely see a bug and when i do it's hardly game breaking..mostly just a quest has to be restarted or i have to log out/in to fix it. i agree with a lack of content but hey im an old eq player so new games to me are always going to lack content at higher levels at the start. i do hope they have more for me later though.

If you were treated like that then i hope they get what they deserve because that is ridiculous! bo one should be treated like that and i have to admit to being suprised by it.

just to point out...i havent PVP'ed other than single played stuff at min so i havent came across most of the broken are's :) other than that is anything broken PVE wise?

Why is there so many " mature players will go this way way, the others this way"? i really think the mature plyers will probably pick thier side based on RP choices and whom they used to play as the tabeltop game. And by RP i dont mean you think your an elf just that i choose mine due to lore pref etc.

So for me i can't have wood elves so i will have to settle for high elves!

I do admit i am the Legolas wannabee! always have been and can't see that changing.

While i agree AoC is a bit on the easy side, where are the games that arent? or how do we compare what is easy or not? i still havent came acroos any game that is hard when it comes to mmo's. the only game that has deep enough content is EQ for me. at higher levels you need help and then theres faction and death penaltys etc.

Just shows how far the game has come...people are complaining about not enough pacthes lol. even though it says they are hoping to put in one larger patch lol. what will they find to complain about next?

If i remember right i logged of in that temple area doing kind of faction quests. ye i'm gonna log on tonight and try to catch my feet again. Got a better pc now too so maybe i can crank it up a bit more. Enjoyed it before i just wanted a rest that's all. Maybe i can find out about these mount quests also.

Thillian i have been away from VG for 3 months now but still subbed. i took a break to try AoC and EQ again, but am slowly getting bored again. Is it worth coming back and trying again or will i have fallen a bit too far behind now? My ranger was 47 but mostly with solo equip. I'm just afraid i might come back and be stuck with what i should be doing.

I've seen screenies of Dryads and what looked to be Waywatchers.  Wood Elves might be a neutral faction.

Only just started to look into this game more so havent seen much yet. But i have to see those now! I tried to start a guild of Rangers on EQ called waywatchers but not enough showed an interest :(. gonna go and search for screenies later, gotta see them now.

I have to admit to the d\nger not really being there....i see that level 80 boss mino thing in poltain, and ever since level 20 i shoot an arrow at him to gain agro and see what damage i do. I know i only have to walk two feet and hell give up so theres no danger and most of the game is the same. much prefer Everquest where a mob would follow you to the end of the zone.

Hyboria would be so much better to explore if you didnt need to complete quests or be a certain level to get into. i miss exploring in EQ and then dying in a zone i know i have no chance of getting my stuff again.

I really didnt realise the cityes were instanced!

as for the button mashing i cant agree friend. try fighting elites and doing the same skill over and over. He/she/it will just raise it's defences in that area and dwindle your damage. this isn't opinion either try it. look at the damage numbers and you will see what i mean. i play as a ranger and use different skills at different times depending on where the mobs defences are.

Not with this graphics system. because this graphics system it eats everything in resources:

Combat frame drops, instances, loading Loading loading screens, failures at any level of wall constructions, FAILING combat system.

In fact the combat system is dull after about the 500th mob being killed.

No button smashing??? It is nothing BUT boring button smashing and you can NOT move when casting spells or move on combos.

How  BAD a game must be before at least the fan boys see this garbage.

 

When did they instance cities? is that a recent addition?

And there is lots of content after 50 friend! well at least untill 60 hehe which is the area i am in at the moment :) after that i cant comment :).

Button mashing! ye i think anyone can button mash but yuo wont get far :) and you do realise these games are designed to use buttons so any game that uses them can be labelled as such! take vanguard, wow, lorto and many other games. But i do admit to preferring the slower type of combat ie, Everquest. but many people prefer the faster paced modern games friend and i cant see that changing soon :).

not sure what you mean by Failing combat system. has it broken since last night? i have been playing since release and have been lucky maybe not to have mine broken. or is just it's not your style?

And as for loading screens i only seem to get them as i enter a zone or if i die. but then again i dont just race through zones ;)

Monthly sub on continuous update. Just nothing else out there as good at the min. AoC is by no means great but only other game that i can get into is eq! and after 7 years i need a break :).

I know i hear a lot of "item customization" comments, but wasnt that the point of AoC? that it wasnt going to be item dependant? or am i mixing it with another game?.

I really hope your right and im wrong and this game comes out. i promise i will pay to play it. untill then......
