Originally posted by Unfinished I do like AoC, but I would have to agree with their service. Poor at best. I like AO very much, but yes get responses very late. Heck I had a response from a two month old ticket yesterday in my e-mail...I thought to myself what is this ? Then oh ....wow good response time. I will say though Anarchy Online is a pretty good game. I like it at least. I give up going to stop holding off and activate the Conan account tomorrow night and see how it is. |

Hi all,
I have been wondering how ToS plays out at higher levels. Would it be better for the class to go into healing or is DPS a mainstay with the class. What feats work best and such. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Checkthis500, Exploits are an offense they can ban for. I think that taking their banks was a fair compromise...although I would have banned. I have a low tolerance for that. |

I didn't bother to cast a vote on this thread because it is foolish to me. What have we come to where we make an agreement and then go out of our way to cheat and break our word to gain for ourselves. By God man you even have to waste our time with this post. Ban... and ban. It will give me great respect for Funcom to kick them out period. I can understand if they found an exploit and said wait...did that just happen. Then they tried it again and yes it DID happen. The honest and decent thing to do would be to report it. Taking advantage of it is low and pathetic. Feel happy for your guild that they didn't get banned. I would have kicked them out. The guild mates who did not partake I feel sorry for, but for the cheaters, the weak, the PvP fodder good riddance to your feaux success. You got what you deserved. Next thing I know you will be telling me you are in Ebonlore. God I hoped Ewle curled up and died in a scary place when she was kicked out of Hate for being such a pathetic player. Not to mention for gaining fame for being publicly banned from Emarr. What a <fill in blank>. Sorry I started to rant. Old EQ days... |

Sings of Death...being that it is an MMO I was asking what would keep you playing it for 3 years. Do you see that happening? To Iys, hehe I played wowo for 4 weeks because old guild mates from another game went there. Wasn't for me so I can't comment aside from ...I didn't get into it.

Sings of Death I was just asking if there is anything else special about the game. I am happy to hear you are enjoying your play so far. |

made it to 80 quitting until funcom fixes the game

Ok, everyone has a slick way to get to 80. I have asked this before, but : A) Is the game to 80 so boring that you want to get to 80 as quickly as possible? B) If game is enjoyable to level 80 why rush? C) Has any level 80 character poked their head into one of the instances and by doing so justifying the rush to 80? I have read many threads here and am a bit confused. The people who say they are leaving after the thirty days say all the good about the game and the reasons they are leaving. Be it instancing or whatever. When it comes to the good things or maybe newish things about the game fans say the same things as those who are leaving. Great graphics, combat system... that's it. Aside from that all I hear is 400000 copies sold. I could care less about numbers...give me the real story . I guess this would be a question to the fans. What else about it do you like. The haters have all agreed with you on the good...what else is there that keeps you going? What is that special thing in the game that makes you say ... I want to go check this out today. I have heard nothing from anybody...and I am somebody who plans to give it a go, just waiting for traders and sieges to be implemented.

I have two CE copies sitting on my shelf. I wanted to wait until things settled down with the fresh release before opening or activating my accounts. I just have to say that levelling two characters to level 80 in a week?!?!

During the beta/pvp weekend Nvidia was one of the names that came across the screen at the start up. Whether or not they have optimized it for that...I can't say, but placing it at start up might be an indicator. I ran the 8800gt during the weekend and the game ran flawlessly. Cheers |

Very good points. I apologize for my not being clearer in my earlier response. It definitely adds all that you have stated. That is the one aspect that did impress me about the game during the very short trial weekend. My concern about that would be...great aspect to the combat is that all? If my greatest challenge is a new tweak to hitting buttons.... As I have stated before, I am not bashing or loving the game. I do want it to be successful. I am looking forward to any feedback given in regards to people who have been given the opportunity to go further into the game. |

I realize that. The mechanism used in the game is different, yes. Is it something that revolutionizes the market no. |

It is a bit of a con. I find myself wondering why they allowed the PVP beta weekend players a small taste of the PvE aspect of the game. It was not something that grabbed me personally. I had been looking forward to this game for quite a while, but aside from a few tweaks to the usual auto attack mechanism used in so many MMORPGs, it was possibly a bad marketing idea. Why show potential subscribers a very linear aspect to the questing mechanism. Worries, worries, but hoping in good faith. |

I was lucky enough to have a very small experience of the game for the PvP beta weekend. While it was not something that left me in awe, I am willing to wait for some feedback from persons on MMORPG who purchase the game and will make my decisions then in regards to the game. I just have to filter through the bs in the threads.
For me after the last two releases I bought...and subsequently tossed into the trash heap (POTBS and Tabula Rasa) , I am not rushing into any more purchases when it comes to a new game.
Good luck to AoC though. I hope it is a good or at least decent game. From what I saw in a VERY limited preview it was ok...nothing great.
