Hi ppl i have just joined silkroad salvation,so far i am very happy because it has not botters very queit and the ppl on the forums are very nice so come join the server and see for your self.

My 7 year old son wants to start playing mmorpg games but i am not sure what is right for him.i am playing forsaken world at the moment and i think thta is to hard for him.so what would be a good game to start off with.

Hi guys i am a man in dispair because I think I have lost that thingy for playing mmorpg games.I think it is because most of the best games out there are f2p and wont bore you with my RL lets just say it is hard to find cash when u have 2 kids and one wage coming in.

So now at the moment i am stuck in limbo because most of the games i played are now either never controlled by gm's so over ran with bots,or it is just about grinding grinding.

SO i now do not know what to do and i think after 7 years playing mmorpg games it is over.

NA servers are far more better than EU andalso CM are rubbish woth customer service,i played archlord when cm where in charge and they were again rubbish,I play on the US servers and been there for almost a year and love it.

without paying to use the premium services,just want to knwo wether it is worth playing and not buying any credit because the prices are so expensive in my opion.

Just your thoughts please

hi ppl i have just forked out £70 to get my pc clear of major viruse which my secruity could not get rid of so now i also need to update my drivers but the software out there at the moment require u to pay for them which i have no problem with but at the mo now i can't afford it so i need some info as to wether my drivers will be ok till i can afford it???

i have just signed upto lotr and man what a game i have been searching for years for a good game toplay and normally i do not do p2p but this game i will cos it has EVERYTHING that i what good grpahics,good crafting,good quests.

so i would say to ppl come and play u will enjoy it.

Hi everyone i know this should be in the silkroad section.But i want to bring it to everyone's attention how long will joymax carry on allowing botters to distroy this wonderful game,silkroad was the very first mmorpg game i ever played and i left 2 years ago because i hate botter there is no need for these illegal things and i hope one day there willbe no more botter programs out there cos they are ruining the mmorpg games and at the moment we as a community are slowly leaving these games because of golsd spammers,ksing botters.

So my point to this is when will the major mmorpg  sites like this one where all the online community go will stand up for us and start giving bad reviews or something where it makes companys like joymax wake and stop ripping the legit players of not playing this wonderful game.I know also it is down to us the players and it makes me mad when players play games like silkroad and because they can't be arsed to grind like most of us have to do they get illegal programs to make it faster for them.

Please explain why they do this for is grinding not part of the mmorpg  and also when i play a game and lvl my toon i am very happy to have acheived that lvl after questing and grinding yes it takes ages but why rushj for just so u can get to lvl 50,100,200 in as few days as u can i have never understood that.

so please to the great online community and the gaming sites like this one please lets stand up to compnays like joymax and start letting legit players back in and play.

i am in support of this boycott because joymax has done nothing to stop botters and it will always be this way.

i love this game i really mean love this game,it was my first ever mmorpg game and i so wish joymax would get their act together.

but after reading some of these posts i really do not know if i am wasting my time.

could u tell me wether it is worth dl let alone playing.

i so badly want to go back to this game because it is my first love of mmorpg and i really am very sad because i can no longer play th egame maybe one day when joymax gets their finger out i can go back to it

i have another mmorpg game it is called runes of magic in my eyes it is one of the best games to come out in 2008

so why not check it out

i am at this minute dl the game so i hop eto play it asap.as long as the servers are up and running

One of the downfalls i think in current mmorpg's, the lack of multiplayer game play. Seriously, you dont NEED to group with people anymore unless you are doing an event of some kind (raid, pvp game, etc.). Since WoW and all its WoW-like competitors, we are solo questing obscene amounts of levels, doing quests that are very much like the quests we did the last 10 levels. AoC -  i got to level 50 solo questing and then stopped playing

Warhammer - solo quested into lvl 20s with a couple toons and quit playing

LotRO - solo quested a few characters into 20s-30s and quit playing

EQ2 - i only did the free trial to check it out and it was solo questing throughout the free trial, so i didnt purchase it.

TCOS - just tried the f2p version recently and it had the same solo quest theme ... if that changes beyond f2p trial, dont know but i didnt like it enough to wait and find out.

Hellgate: london - not quite on the same scale as other mmo's but still ... this game also followed the solo questing style of gameplay and i played it for a good 6-8 hours and said you gotta be kidding me. waste of money.

WoW -  played to lvl 60 (before expansions), solo questing most of them.

 Not only are we paying to play an MMO and soloing ... but we are doing quests for most of the levels. Now questing can be pretty awesome, like epic scale quests that take a considerable amount of time, group-play, and great story content.  Questing like, kill 8 zombies ... then kill 10 wolves.. gather 5 flowers ... omfg give me a break.  I stopped reading quest dialogues so long ago when i first started WoW, it was awful. the lame lame "stories" for quests they dished out and then we repeated for 60 levels. its a joke. So not only are we running around soloing for 60-80 levels, we are playing errand bitch and doing mindless tasks that are seriously no more in depth than grinding. But in EQ grinding meant a social experience with a group of people at least...

The other thing that seems to be a mandate for mmorpgs that i think is seriously hindering it, is crafting. players spend SO many hours crafting ALONE that at any given time that community on a server is seeing a good % of players crafting alone instead of gaming together.  its seriously lame...  get rid of crafting items and make a LOT of GOOD loot that drops off mobs or is hidden all over world and in dungeons and send people in groups to get it together. starting from lvl 1 to end game. Make people adventure together to get loot... not sit in a workshop watching a bar progress to 100% for 6 hours a night.. jesus.

if you want to see the quality of game improved, be rid of the things that push us towards solo play and reintroduce the things that push us toward group play. Sure after EQ and FFXI, most people dont want to grind anymore ... im sure they can develop some content to level in more fun ways as a group experience. 

And what ever happened to dungeons?  did they just get pushed aside at some point??  why are dungeons such a joke now ?  in EQ, you went into Lguk and called camp check to find out where everyone was camping already. whatever camps were free, you took your pick. You were in a group in those dungeons and you were there to XP and get loot and have fun with other players. but since then, dungeons have been a serious joke.  WoW dungeons were good IMO but were also instanced so there were no other players.. which i still iked them but i think non instanced dungeons are better cause it creates more interaction.

I dont know folks .. but it seems to me since WoW and its duplicates,  we are paying to play a Massively MULTIPLAYER Online game SOLO and its just not fun.

 

have to really agree with everything you have said here.if you are not in a guild then u have to solo because no-one wants to party with you and even if there are group quests again no-one want to do it with you

 

 

 

 

as a novice to mmorpg games campared to some of you.i think the standard as really dropped in the past two years.

when i first started playing mmorpg games which was silkroad i loved the graphics,the mobs,gear etc.but now i have quit silkroad because like you say the companies really want is our money they really no matter what they say are not bothered what we the gamers have to say.so they allow botters,goldspammers etc.

now i am playing archlord and even though again CM are just like everyother company and want your money.

of new games i ahve played i have been very very very disappointed ok i now i want to play free games but if they are good i will buy from the item mall but only if the game is really good.

i have played 9dragons,wynd and a few other mmorpg games and i have to say i am very disappointed with mainly the grapics.

so for the future well i really hope we the players start striking sounds strange but if we just leave games hten maybe the companies will start listening to us

sorry mate but i disagree with like i said in my first post the graphics are not good but to be honest i like th egrinding and grinding and crafting so for me it is a very good game and when they start selling plots and lairs then it will be even better.but like i say everyone is entitled to their opions and fair enough u have yours.

hi guys i know there is a section for istaria but i just wanted to post on here to let everyone know how good it is to play this game.

i have been playing this game for nearly a month and in that time i have come to evnjoy playing this game and why u might ask well i have been thinking about this and this is what i have to say.

There is no pvp which for me is good as i hate pvp becaus ei am rubbish at it,then comes the crafting whoa i really like this part u have different schools to craft in it might be blacksmith(making weapons),armor(simple you make armor),jeweler it says what it is,there are loads more to choose from.

then you have the different races u can be a human,fiend,dwarf,gnome and more they all have their own special stats.and then we come to the best of the races and that is the dragon yes dragon i know youcan get this in wow but this is differnt imo you can only craft for dragons and no other race ther eis loads to do as a dragon which i will not go into now.the only thing about this game is that you have to pay but imo it is worth doing this as you are able to buy plots where you can build your own building i.e blacksmith,jewel maker etc and u can let other ppl that r in your guild use it.if you are a dragon then u can buy a lair and again u can add rooms to make spells,scales etc.

i think the graphics are not as good as other mmorpg games BUT it is ok to play.so come check it out u can play for 14 days for free to c if u like it.

sorry but i think you are mistaken cos i have found the community to be brillant yes it has it's draw backs but then doesn't everything in life.
