Probably want to change it to 30 fps. Makes it run better and cuts the strain on the PC by a lot.

So you think that shutting down the servers and putting everyone on 2.0 won't be detrimental to the process? Just like those topics on the official forums that if you just hire more people, it will instantly decrease the dev time by half or something? Too many cooks working on the soup. I guess they could just fire everyone else that isn't working on 1.0 anymore and can't help with 2.0. They already have as many people as they need for 2.0. If they didn't, they would make sure that would happen. You know they are sparing no expensive on this.

I don't know why how many are on the servers matter, and the fact that they're merging. So basically, that will cut their costs right there and then they will have enough people to cover the cost of the server... They're giving us loyal subscribers content and such to play with until 2.0 comes out. I don't see your reasoning to shut down jack for the time being. If it was an actual beta, no problem there, but it's not so there is no point.

This new dev team seems to actually know what they're doing and have these things planned out. Remember all that time when there was pretty much nothing going on for a few months until March? Yeah, that was them laying out all their plans. They would have made that decision then. It's not going to happen, so quit saying it should. It doesn't need to and it shouldn't. Just because you don't enjoy the game and have to harp on every little thing, doesn't mean everyone feels the same, and sees it the way you do. Nor should they.

2.0 isn't going to come any faster. I have no problem giving them my business in the meantime.

So only selfish reasons that effect other people but not you, cool. Just like the people who play XI hate on XIV and think XI is suffering because of XIV.  There is no reason for them to shutdown anything if they said they will do their thing and release 2.0 and give 1.0 content. Sounds fine to me. Don't see what the problem is.

no...

shut off the game, that means no server fee's and everything related to it, not having to spend time and put people on building crap like storys and content for the crappy 1.0 version of the game.

Its probably the best solution right now, that are barely making anything with how little people they have playing right now.

Sorry, that doesn't jive with me. I'm playing the game and I'm paying them. We already know if only one person is playing the game, they'll keep the servers up until 2.0. I'll keep playing and paying for XI and XIV thank you very much.

Still people here that play and look at these forums. I just can't be bothered to post with all the eyerolling I have to do with some of these posts. I played since the beginning, was going to pay then, and going to pay now. Still play XI too.

Yoshi-P already said this game is going to 2.0 whether they get subs or not. This game won't be shutting down at all before then (at least not due to the lack of subs, act of God, sure). Just like when everyone was saying it wouldn't last through the first year, you don't really have anything else. I'm sure when 2.0 comes along, you'll probably still have the same cons from launch like you do now. People like the game and somehow something is wrong with that. Just keep to your flavor of the month game and let people enjoy their game.

There are too many to mention. Chocobo raising/racing, pokemon, quests that have mini-games in them in order to complete it (level caps, promotions, and such), summer event going on right now, ect. Seriously, there are a lot.

You will still see people just RPing in /say. I actually see it quite a bit. Definitely makes things more lively.

That's kinda' what this game is all about right now. You don't need much time at all to get some progress done.

That's your opinion. You are right about them to just get something done in the next couple of weeks of course. Nothing NEEDS to be redone, just tweaked in my opinion. Also, the old team had things already on the table. They'll probably implement certain parts of it still until they can get things squared away. My opinion of course.

Don't know how the game is as good as dead. But hey, we'll find out when we do won't we? I wouldn't say anything like that until the PS3 comes out or doesn't. Then you might actually be onto something. Until then? Your opinion, if I didn't make that clear.

With the way some talk nowadays, you'd think XI was on its deathbed. Being 10 on that list isn't bad for a "dead" MMO. Looks like SE is going under...

Good  condescending sarcasm, but the real moral of the story is that nobody can trust SE to release anything on time, whether it be pushed back , or in this huge floppy case, TOO EARLY.

Also a 'few days', is an entire month, where every single day more and more people are deciding to leave that broken to hell catastrophe. They needed the game to be good when it released, and since it wasn't, they REALLY need to make it a playable game because in it's current state, it will not retain a strong, or even acceptable playerbase.

The game has issues, no denying that. I'm in it for the long haul, so the game I see and play is good. It's only going to get better from here I predict. Can call me on it if it never does though. But it is.
