A place for recruitment, business dealings between corps, a place to plan OP's and hang out when their over. Something along these lines is what i'm thinking, and I think something like this will add allot to the game. I would call it icing not fluff.

Why would I travel +30 jumps for meeting when I can just invite the person to Ventrillo or simply open convo? ...it's fluff.

You clearly didn't played EvE long / even at all.

I am in 0.0 warfare and gang roams. And we do meet up.. at stations. Not just over vent.

Besides, I prefer walking around in the station abit, instead of spinning ships.

EvE is like the marathon of MMOs. It's not "fun" unless you've been playing it for ages...and even then, it's still pretty boring.

Why? Fanboys will mewl over someone disagreeing that this isn't the holy grail of MMOs but here we go...The jump mechanic is unneccesarily drawn out and over used. Mining/harvesting makes the most tedious task you can think of look like a rollercoaster ride. PvP, while widespread, feels clumsy and not well thought out. The offline skilling system was kind of interesting when this game first came out, now it just feels limiting.

If spaceship/outerspace themes are what you're looking for well you're stuck with this steamer for a little while longer, but don't worry. Star Trek Online and a few other titles will be coming soon to finally put this lame horse out to pasture.

No.

Wrong.

But it is fine you dont like the game. To each it own. STO looks like a heap of crap to me.. but that doesn't mean you are  "right" or I am "right".

Need help!

I got a suggestion.

I tried EvE Online 6 times too, before I got into it. My problem was, I specialized  too much and too early.

I suggest picking up abit from everything. EvE online is a great game, but everything gets boring when you do it alot. So, if you are a gamer that plays atleast 2 hours a day or something, or find stuff quickly boring.. do multiple things.

I am at this time a tackler (pvp), mission runner, miner, industrialist, and beginning to trade. It is alot, and my skills are pretty much everywhere atm, but it gives me alot to do. And that, makes the game fun. The complete freedom.

For everyone who thinks Intel was just beeing "creative", learn economics.

And besides, the mafia is only doing "creative" business, aren't they?

Anyways, I only post here to say that some people got my respect for explaining this case to some short sighted people.

Sounds pretty much like.. Real Life.

I was flabergasted that nobody else yet has posted this.

Doom's GFX are worse..

But gameplay is way better.

So Doom > DF.

What the Darkfall community should do..

Get laid.

And don't behave like small children. Ignore the review if you don't like it. Or you could act like a grown up, and relealize that the game is the biggest turd they have seen in MMO history.  I didn't spend a single hour in the game, but I did my  "research", and I know damn well that I wouldn't like it.

Get over it. Darkfall will get more negative reviews. And even positive reviews doesn't matter, right?  I mean, WAR and WOW are getting positive reviews? And those games are so non-hardcore... carebears!

Tasos is a sad, sad man.

And what about privacy? I see they are able to track us down pretty acurate?

Once again, sad.  We have to stick up with all the over-positive reviews, that is fine... but negative ones.. Oh noes!

Ones again, Adventurine you are a sad, sad company.

I like SOE and Funcom better.

Darkfall a good game?

Having fun with it, is okay.. but calling it good?

I mean it is so hardcore that... meh run out of those how-hardcore-DF-is-jokes.

Like it or not...

WoW is simple, but can be fun. And aren't we playing games for them to be fun instead of difficult?

And as long as he is having a good time.. whats wrong with it?

NO U!

NO U!

Nice thread.

I like the constructive part of it. It does really add something. I further do think that your way of describing it is superb.

First in this thread full of awesomeness.

Just you.

I have had no problem with chatting and talking. I have played: WoW (OH NOES HE DIDNT! 11one), LOTRO, WAR (beta) and EvE Online.

Especially EvE should get a honorable mention. I really suggest that one if you got community on your number 1 spot as most important MMO 'feature'

I did it, and I never regretted :)

This thread needs some Night Elves.

Anyone?

"and our world is post apocolypic..with lush green asian garden si si?"

"and our combat will not be so intense, weapons will have cooldown period, in other words i tell you... gun out. bang. put gun back down. then click button and bang shoot again.

but atleast you feel rpg influence...LONG TIME!!

FAIL GAME!!!

Are you judging the game based on the fact the guy could not speak clear english? o.O That is probably the stupidest thing I have ever heard/seen in these forums.. Someone judging the game purely on the fact the Director could not speak clear english... Wow...

That is what the guy said retard. I didnt change anything about what he said. your a joke. lol

Dude, I'm a fag, right now good trolls are looking down and laughing at you for how badly you suck at it.

Honestly I think you would be better off as a fanboi, you seems more of the gullibly ignorant type than a smart ass, and since there's no chance of you fooling anyone as a ER fanboi now I say go over to the DF forums and fanboi over there.

I'll come latter on to troll those forums and I hope to see you there so I can call you a retarded fanboi this time....Rofl

peace

;P

Hm. well if i was trying to be a troll in the post that you quoted i would understand. but i didn't...so i wouldn't be a troll? Its also great that you think your a torll :) but no matter, keep thinking that, your just making an ass out of yourself.

You fail.

Earthrise isn't this AT ALL too.

Do your homework, son.

I like the concept.

And I don't really care about wheter or not Funcom has failed in the past. I don't care about achievements in the past, but only about the present.

Well, as a loyal visitor from the Earthrise forums, I simply couldn't ignore this announcement:

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., April 2 CA-Interplay-Masthead

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., April 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Interplay Entertainment Corp. (OTC Bulletin Board: IPLY) announced today that the company has signed a binding letter of intent with Masthead Studios to fund the development of a Massively Multiplayer Online Game (MMOG), code named "Project: V13."

The game has been in design and development at Interplay since November 2007. Masthead and Interplay teams will work together under the direction and control of Interplay to complete development of the project.

As a part of the agreement, the game will utilize Masthead's proprietary tools and MMOG technology developed for Masthead's "Earthrise" project.

Commenting on the announcement, Interplay Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Herve Caen said, "We are looking forward to turning the vision of our game designers into a compelling online gaming experience. The planning and design completed for Project: V13 thus far, combined with Masthead's resources, tools, and growing team of dedicated MMOG developers, will bring this unique game to reality."

Masthead Studios President Atanas Atanasov said, "This arrangement is ideal because it leverages the technology our professionals have specifically built for advanced Massively Multiplayer Online Games into what we expect will be a groundbreaking Interplay gaming title."

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Level 7 cap? ROFL. Maybe they should call it farcemium instead of a freemium game. What do you know about a game in 7 levels? I guess accalims thinks you have seen enough. Maybe because there is not much else to see? LOL. That's just nuts.

Maybe you should try in judging it right away?

Sigh..

You can always go back to Darkfall.
