This guy just does not know how to play. It took me less than 2 days to level 1-25 for my new cleric alt. i did 1-10 and then I crafted (with support from my main of course for supplies) to level 25. At 399 crafting it's 3,499  a pop - times that by 20 = 69,980 XP per 2.8 minutes. Rinse Repeat -. It takes aprox 40 minutes per 1 million XP if you are grinding work orders from the "hot spot" where you don't have to move to turn in and start crafting again.

This game is way to easy to level in - so whatever to the OP!

 The spam is over? I can't even frequent public channels on my server or even class channels for that matter - it's insane. I'm tired of spending my time blocking people then unblocking them to make room to block more people due to the block list limit. There are bots everywhere now and even more so in the abyss because they can't be reported for botting there for some lame reason. 

I have a 31 sorcerer who has 399 alchemy (and 399 handicrafting) and is on the last part of the alchemy expert test...  I have put a ton of time into this game and I don't even want to login anymore for the reasons of the OP.

This is the type of player that you an expect in Darkfall. Exactly the reason I left after putting in 400 hrs to my character. I have never looked back since.

I missed out on EQ. I tried to get into EQ after getting into EQ2 and playing it for a few years. However, the controls are just too foreign to me in EQ. I hate them! I would play the game if it had better controls or templates for those of us who are use to the W,A,S,D way of doing things. I know that you can use w,a,s,d in the game - it just does not feel right. So i guess, modernized controls would give me a reason to start playing.

 I'm level 23. I'm enjoying the game and all it's avenues. I gather, craft, quest and grind. I play the broker and have learned to be quite profitable. I'm having a ton of fun! I loathe FTP titles. This game, imo, feels nothing like a FTP title at all. I also like the crafting, there should be a chance to fail. There has been in every pay-to-play mmo I have ever liked. I loathe WoW, so telling me there isn't a chance to fail is just another reason it blew.

The one thing that irks me about NC Soft is their quickness to kill games. As a consumer, that bothers me. Not to mention their quickness to use the "ban stick".

For example, I was banned from Aion because amazon.com screwed up and reported that I, along with others cancelled their pre-orders. If it were true (which it's not, my order will arrive on the 22nd) I still find it bad practice to punish someone for cancelling their order.

Sure, they sorted it out for me - but still... it keeps NC Soft as one of the publishers I just don't trust. Which sucks, but I guess if I want to play Aion and GW2 I have to put up with it.

 I have to agree. MMORPG.COM is a breeding ground for Negative Nancy's... 

 This sort of piece being pubished by an "internet publication" is just another example of why it's hard to take any writer seriously here at mmorpg.com. Maybe this is the sort of thing we should expect with non-compensated writers. However, it's still unacceptable. 

The very fact that the writer giving his "first impressions" refers to the status of the game in beta and head start prior to launch is hillarious. Anyone in the gaming industry knows the reasoning for betas, and head start is no promise of how things will be, it's merely a way to start your character early while the retail version and it's changes are finalized! 

Too many people are taking advantages of Betas as a way to preview the game. That's not the F***in' purpose for crying out loud. It's to catch bugs, balance issues, performance issues - report them, rinse and repeat. It's not for the purpose of what it has turned into.... 

This new breed of PC gamer makes me want to puke.

 CO is a blast. Having fun everytime i login, period. Give it a go, judge for yourself. If you have a xbox 360 controller, plug it in - it makes the game so much better!

 Champions Online rocks - I didn't vote as all options are slated for negativity. Such nonsense - great game, glad I paid for a lifetime!

Alright. All fixed. Apparently, amazon.com reported I cancelled my pre-order to the game (when I did not) so they blocked the account due to that reason. They were easy to work with and did not require me to prove it, though it would have been no issue as it's sitting in my orders.

I got that e-mail when they asked users to do that. I logged in, changed it - and then never logged in again until today. I'm calling them in 2 minutes when they open.
