In the options under video it says at the bottom for "deffered lighting" if it checked it may decrease performance if using SLI/Crossfire. Have you unchecked that to see if maybe the game becomes more stable?

Are you sure you're all patched up with latest vid drivers and all that mess? They released a new directx runtime for august. You might go there and download latest directx redistrib. www.microsoft.com/directx

Might try playing the lowest setting and gradually make your way up til you crash so you can isolate what is causing it.

Have you looked at the planettr.com forums? That's the best help I can do for you. It is a pretty good community.

Just remember to clone before choosing medic or exobiologist.

Yeah I think the new bootcamp is a lot friendlier to new players. The added bonus of a full suit of armor for your class just makes you look cool. It's quickly replaced but you don't look all mismatched anymore.

The model rocket is neat that you can pick up in wilderness, in divide there is a space helmet you can get. Downside... they won't go into footlocker!!!!

I'm also seeing a lot of new people especially a lot of trial accounts. I think if you are bored with your current mmo or wanting something to play till Warhammer comes out you should check out the trial or sub for a month to pass the time till your game of choice comes out.

And D11 got released today. Entirely new boot camp, and few other new things.

I haven't made it to max level to find out. Right now there is plenty to do and plenty of loot to be had. Plus for the price TR is going for if you reach the max level and find it boring and nothing to do you really didn't waste a lot of money.

They got a trial. I would suggest trying that and this time around you may like it.

Yep I came back this week after quiting a few months back. This time around I am really having fun. Like you I've seen lots of people in starter areas and lots of trial accounts.

Guess I'm a fanboi then...  Currently enjoying the game and hearing great things about D11 on the test server. So yeah looking forward to D11.

Some people find it hard that others like a game they did not enjoy or agree with and throw out the term fanboi. The Fanboi term is so overused like perscription drugs.

I retuned this week to TR after taking off a semester and I'm loving every minute of it. I think the free trial has helped a lot. I grouped with a lot of great people this weekend and some were even people that converted over from trial accounts.

I started over on a different server just so I could re-learn the game/controls and just over all I had a lot of fun. Will it last? I don't know.

I'm hoping to get my sci-fi alien space over flowed so that I'll crave the elves/orcs when Warhammer gets released.

I would suggest to do like the OP did and make a trial account and play around and see if you like it. If so sub for a month until Warhammer comes out if you're waiting for that.

If you contacted EA Store about your pre-order keys how did you do it?

When I attempted to contact support you are taken to a page with pull down menus and Warhammer is not listed under PC games. You can't continue without putting something in the field. I just put a random game and in the message field at the bottom I put brackets saying there is no warhammer listed to contact support.

If anyone had success contacting EA Store support could you post how you did it?

I ordered mine Saturday, 7/26/08 and haven't received any codes yet. I'm in the same boat you are in, curious as well.

Never ordered anything from the EA Store before so they may not be as prompt as other online retailers.

That is interesting. I looked myself and sure enough there is a mod 7 standard download and a mod 6 high-res download.

Have you posted this on the official DDO forums in the guest section? I know it's a pain but the Turbine people may not know there is a problem and they can look into it.

As for comparing high-res with standard. The high-res client looks much more crisp and detailed than the standard. I think it is worth it.

I love the game, but like the OP I kinda want to see all of the game not just the good loot or exp ones over and over.

This isn't surprising since the Empire from Warhammer is almost completely based on The Holy Roman Empire (basically Germany) from the reformation wars in 16-hundreds... which is  incidentally the time and space Solomon Kane operates in.
