I have never seen the big deal/hype about this game, it seems old and outdated even before it has launched. and no I don't care about the simple graphics,  its about the same looking gameplay and the same old static combat that I have played so many times in other mmos. reminds me alot of daoc (who has been one of my greatest game experiance of all time! but I don't want to play it all over again) there are some good things about the game to ofc. (and a h*ll alot of more bad and boring things to....) I doubt War will be the game for me, but this is not my final conclution for I have yet to try the game...

I have not much to be excited about yet when it comes to this game because it seems old and outdated before it even has launched (and no its not the simple graphics)... but I have not tried it yet, only read and wached the game-movies so I can't judge the whole game before I have played it, but sure there is some things who already seems to  be fun.

Fun:

1.don't need to pve to lvl

2. rvr/the major focus on pvp play

3. Alot of classes to chose from (compared to most mmos)

The "meh":

1. the combat seems stiff and old (pretty sure its going to be at launch to even if its said that it will be fixed/changed to the better)

2. to much daoc (daoc is one of my greates game experianse of all time but I don't want to play it again because i'm tired of it)  and wow (I hate orcs,dwarfs..etc.) in it

3. have no high hopes of the community (to many imature players, nerfnerf,buffbuff,/cry, U suck!!!,nuuuuub.

I have alot more "negative" to say about War but I  want to balance "my posetive and my negative" things about the game so I don't get a troll mark on me :p

I'm sure War will apeal to alot og ppl, but for me its seems nothing more or less then another  mmos that I have already played so many times....

I have watch this game for some time now, and My hype have grown alot for Aion, specialy the flying combat and I hope its as good as its sounds like! but the whole game seems very fresh and new, so i will for sure give it a try when it launches!

Yeah, I think those are the main reasons why there is so much hate against AoC. Anyways I'm having a good time playing the game ( i'm a very patient person) but I have to admit that I do also sometimes get a little frustrated by the condition of the game right now and many things are not working, so I don't blame ppl getting angry and misspleased  because its far away from what potential the game realy has, But if ppl wait 2-3 moths I think it will be a excelent game to play = )

Well if I understand you right U want to be in the world all alone without any other playing on the same server? If thats the case U can always ask if U can buy your own private server from funcom

I think you and many others are forgeting/don't know the flexibility AoC have when creating a character. Its up to the player if he/she want theire female charactar to look like f.exa. I like how the female avatars look (and the male) I can't see the big problem some ppl have with the half-nudity... its just a minor factor of the game as whole to  "spice"  up the world/ your screen. I think Funcom doinig a great job visualising E.Howards Hyborian world.

I don't know why so many people say that they hate wow (the OP's words), with all that amound of players it says itselfe that it can't be so bad.  but as for me.. i did not enjoy playing Wow   (while I was playing it) the pvp was very unbalanced (frostmage, warlock pwns all) and they where alway nerfing and buffing my druid so I never knw how much "power" I had. the world was okey for me to explore  but I realy did not like the same type of quest over and over again (pve is not may way of gaming anyway, but it realy was a pain for me getting to lvl 70 When I reach max lvl and the thing left was to play Arena, doing raids or go ganking I decided that wow was not a game for me

for me good looking graphics surely is an important factor to make the/ a game complete and playable

For many Aion will be nr.1 and for others it will not I got a high hype on Aion but I don't think this will be my nr.1 but I'm surely gonna try it when it comes out.
