Lineage was one of the best game i ever played, and i played it for many years. I jumped off the bandwagon a few years ago when it was evident how poorly the game was managed. NCsoft are so bad at what they do and they let amazing games vanish into thin air.

I do want to eleborate on this. It was the same game like in Asia but the team in NA was too small and way under qualified. Many private lineage 1 servers emerged during this time. I played on one of the private servers and the admins would translate the Asian patches in about a week and they were fully playable. This took the official NCsoft team over a year to do in NA. When a private server is better managed than the official thing you know something is terribly wrong. Another thing this game needed was a new server so everyone could start fresh. No one wants to start playing a game with no level cap when the servers have been out since the age of time. Hopefully a real company will pick this game up again and give it the attention it deserves.

Now on to anarchy online. I played this game on and off for around 5 years. This game is amazing as well but just like NCsoft titles, Funcom obviously doesn't know how to run a game company. Anarchy online's player base is basically non existant. They also keep promising this new graphics engine similar to age of conan's. They have been promising this for years but the truth is it will never happen. The team is too small, period. It is only a matter of time before you see them close the servers for this game also.

Lineage 1 and anarchy online are the best games i have ever played, and i really mean that. What they need is a real gaming company to back them up. You may not agree with my straight forward wording on my reply, but i have a soft spot for these games.

Ok lets start off with my claim question. Back in the end of April i watched my roomate make a AoC trial account. Right away i noticed that there was the mammoth bag and the blue snow mammoth already added to the account and available for claim. You obviously couldn't use the mount yet but the bag you were able to. Yesterday i decided to make my own trial account and there is nothing listed under my account claim items, nor in-game via /claim. I did everything exactly the same as my roomate. Is there some type of delay or did they remove the free claims on the trial recently?

On to the 2nd question. I receieved my croc social pet code here at mmorpg.com. I have tried like 20 times to add this to my account but no luck. The steps i take... I enter the code under key registration and hit enter. Then it says "This key gives you the exclusive Loyal Crocodile pet. You can claim this pet in-game using /claim." Please choose from the following options, upgrade subscription and i click go like told in these forums. Then i get to another page and all i see is a box that says "upgrade subscription". I click that and i get a red error box saying "There was an Error Submitting your Data Please check your input and try to correct any invalid fields."

I really don't understand what the problem is because it shows that the key is valid but fails to add it to my account. I have also tried /claim in the game but no luck. Everytime i try to add it to my account i get this error.

For my final question! If i buy the boxed version of AoC would that include the mammoth bag and the blue snow mammoth? What about the leveling weapon? Thanks again for reading all this, take care ;).

2nd request here... Looking for a NA trial key. If you guys truly want to see the game grow i think helping some people out with invites would be a good thing. *crickets*

I would love to see all this stuff also but first hand ;). Too bad there is no trial. I guess you can post here in the sticky to request a buddy invite that lasts a few hours (you probably spend more time downloading the game then actually getting to try it out). I made a post in that sticky but i really think the requests fall on deaf ears for the most part, i can see a potential problem getting new people like this. But here is to hoping i can at least try it out before making the choice to buy it or not, i really need a new mmorpg.

I was also unable to find any real gameplay videos, just the artwork. I was hoping the game was a mmo type of game but then i noticed it was turned based strategy game... I also think the website is a little strange too. 91.com?

I really can't wait to take the plunge into this mmo! Sure you can nit pick at little things but Bioware are constantly improving on everything. This game will be epic!

The answer is simple. Your computer will focus the majority of its resources on the current window you have open. The solution imo is just run a 2nd client on another pc. Lineage 2 system requirements are low, i am sure you have an older pc laying around.

Just pre-order the game mate,you will get a code to get you into all the preview events and if you dont like the game just cancel it :)

I have been down that road before with games like warhammer and conan. I paid in full on direct2drive just to get beta access and to be honest those games never interested me and now they are collecting dust. This time around i am just looking forward to a free beta pass so i can decide if i want to buy the game instead of forking out cash just to get access.

Yes i agree 100%. Those screenshots are not real, there is no way. I have played AO on and off for about 5 years and the game looks like crap. It is a fun game however, thats what draws me into it. By the time we actually get the new engine the game will be dead, no offense funcom :P.

I recently made a new paid account just for old times sakes. I will not be buying the booster though... Seems more like a gimmick than anything. Funcom if you want to make us pay for some new content, at least give us something worthy enough to call an expansion... like shadowlands.

If you read what i wrote you would understand. I mean experience playing the game. I know we do not share servers with them. Saying we will not play with chinese or korean players is an understatement. The US servers will be flooded with them, and they will bring their bots over. If you actually played a ncsoft title you would know that by now.

It's just the way it is with ncsoft titles. I have played most their titles like lineage 1 and 2. My only gripe with such a late release for the US is by the time we get it theres bots and hacks on the korean servers and they bring them over. Not to mention they get plenty of experience playing the game like 3 months before us so they know what to do before hand giving them a huge head start.

What can you do though? Nothing... just wait it out.

If you ever bring up the idea of a new server on the official forums you will get responses like "the servers are too empty for a new server, we need a merge". Ncsoft and most of the community is so short sided though. I can guarantee they would at least double their player base by adding another server with returning customers.

I have seen gm's respond to this also saying there are no plans for a new server. LoA was brought to us by great minds like Capt, he is long gone now though (aka why the game is so bad now).
