The answer is simple. Your computer will focus the majority of its resources on the current window you have open. The solution imo is just run a 2nd client on another pc. Lineage 2 system requirements are low, i am sure you have an older pc laying around.

Just pre-order the game mate,you will get a code to get you into all the preview events and if you dont like the game just cancel it :)

I have been down that road before with games like warhammer and conan. I paid in full on direct2drive just to get beta access and to be honest those games never interested me and now they are collecting dust. This time around i am just looking forward to a free beta pass so i can decide if i want to buy the game instead of forking out cash just to get access.

Yes i agree 100%. Those screenshots are not real, there is no way. I have played AO on and off for about 5 years and the game looks like crap. It is a fun game however, thats what draws me into it. By the time we actually get the new engine the game will be dead, no offense funcom :P.

I recently made a new paid account just for old times sakes. I will not be buying the booster though... Seems more like a gimmick than anything. Funcom if you want to make us pay for some new content, at least give us something worthy enough to call an expansion... like shadowlands.

If you read what i wrote you would understand. I mean experience playing the game. I know we do not share servers with them. Saying we will not play with chinese or korean players is an understatement. The US servers will be flooded with them, and they will bring their bots over. If you actually played a ncsoft title you would know that by now.

It's just the way it is with ncsoft titles. I have played most their titles like lineage 1 and 2. My only gripe with such a late release for the US is by the time we get it theres bots and hacks on the korean servers and they bring them over. Not to mention they get plenty of experience playing the game like 3 months before us so they know what to do before hand giving them a huge head start.

What can you do though? Nothing... just wait it out.

If you ever bring up the idea of a new server on the official forums you will get responses like "the servers are too empty for a new server, we need a merge". Ncsoft and most of the community is so short sided though. I can guarantee they would at least double their player base by adding another server with returning customers.

I have seen gm's respond to this also saying there are no plans for a new server. LoA was brought to us by great minds like Capt, he is long gone now though (aka why the game is so bad now).

I was just curious if we tried the trial before and never upgraded. Will we be able to activate those old trial accounts to free? If anyone has tried this please reply, take care!

Ok well aparently you need to get to level 20 before you can enter... So just a FYI to anyone that wants to join the raffle your gonna have to grind out in the game for a while. I am bored as hell doing it though... its like the same thing over and over the game is so repetitive and boring.

I was just wondering how do you get into the free league? I could honestly care less about this game i just want to get signed up for the raffles. (Sorry fanboi's).

If there is a good community they must be hiding. I have never seen a game with servers so empty. It is literally like a ghost town. The bots probably make up for more active subscribers than real people.

Well i just came back to try out a trial after not playing lineage 2 for a few years. I honestly wasn't too impressed with all the changes out of 4 years. I also played lineage 1 for a few years.

Anyways though... One thing you have to understand about ncsoft is the constant cutbacks and lack of staff. Trust me when i say games like lineage 1 and 2 are forgotten. They will be infested with bots and i personally believe they are not dealt with is because they need active subscribers. When you log on every server will be on "light" which means its basically empty. The only servers to this exception is the euro servers. The euro servers seem to keep a decent population. So if you do decide to play the game i highly recommend a euro server... Even then the game seems empty because everyone is either in shop mode or botting. You will also get a higher latency for playing on them.

The drop rates are not fun, they are terrible in fact. the lineage genre has the history of having these types of loot tables, really not much to say about it. If you are looking for something in particular the chances are that you will never find it.

Lineage does offer nice animations and graphics for its time. Also note all expansions are always free (they call them expansions but they are just small updates TBH).

The main things that truly seperate the game from 4 years ago is the "easier" leveling". You can do kamaloka once a day which is basically a room with a boss and you will get around a level of exp. There is also the vitality system which is just a weird rip off of wow's rest system. I personally do not like the vitality system because i always feel discouraged about killing things and losing the level 4 vitality. So you might find yourself skipping a lot of content or mobs to save that level 4 vitality for kama. You might find yourself standing around for a long time looking for a group though depending on your server, things are fairly dead.

This last part is dedicated to anyone wanting to try the trial like i did. I just want to say the trial is absolute garbage. Once you reach level 20 you are kicked in the nuts because you realize you cant shout, trade, drop items or use personal shops. This means you cant get things like ssd if you are a fighter unless you beg other people (first time i ever had to do this in a game). You also cant shout in dion when your looking for a kama or raid boss group, thats a kick in the nuts.

I am just mainly letting off some steam, i wanted to believe lineage 2 is better now because i wanted a game to play till wotlk comes out. Honestly i dont even see the purpose of playing on empty servers with bots. You can honestly just play on certain other servers that have huge populations with no bots. I wont really get into that but the truth is they are like 100x more fun.

I miss the old days on lineage 1 with staff members like captsturn, maybe some of you can remember him. People like him truly wanted the lineage franchise to be fun and entertaining back in the day. Now those staff members have moved onto better things and we are left with unexperienced people with no true love for the franchise. Would i recommend any ncsoft game? No i honestly wouldn't. Real game are games like WoW and Eve. /Rant off.
