For those of us who love PvP with meaning, consequences, no rules, and full scale brutality, there is simply no other game out there for us. After playing SB, every other MMO becomes bland and empty. The only way I see SB dying is if Darkfall is a success. |

In the preview weekend, we crushed all of the unorganized destruction out of the t1 RvR zone and had nothing left to do except instances. We desperately wanted to go into the zone and gank everyone, and cause some ruckus, but we couldn't. Definitely going open. |

Scenarios do get old after awhile, but ever now and then I felt the urge to play some. It's a nice option to have even though world PvP is better. |

Don't expect classes who aren't rune priests or zealots to heal. |

[These are not experiences from WAR, but from several other MMOs] I hate healing in PvE, but in PvP I have a blast doing it. -- As a healer I have to keep track of the location of people in my group, and have an awareness of where the enemy is. (Close enough to heal my team, but far enough away from the enemy so I'm not caster fodder.) -- Staying in movement whenever possible to appear a less viable target. -- Casting other buffs/debuffs/cc -- See the warning signs of being the primary target of enemy focus fire, and run out of the range of casters or kite melee. -- DON'T DIE!

The population of Thurin has rapidly spiked in the past few weeks. I see a lot of people who left SB for AoC making their way back to SB. I'm one of them.

F5 doesn't help. Just let the page sit there. It can take 15 minutes to go through. |

That is why you fail. I don't know exactly how WAR will be, but in Shadowbane I've witnessed 25 players of an organized guild capture the city of an unorganized guild that fielded 60. Mostly even levels and gear. I've heard similar things happened in DaoC, and I'm hoping to find it in WAR. |

From what I'm hearing most WoW players are going destruction, so I'm going order. They will drop like flies at first until they realize they can't rely on gear to win. And they will probably remedy that by crying nerf, and PvEing more gear. |

In PvE, macroing is viable and people do it, but in any skilled PvP you are going to be fighting opponents who move around, and you need to manually time your attack until you are precisely lined up against them. |

You people complaining about the combat system sound like you have only experienced it in PvE. I came to the same conclusion as you guys until I started doing a lot of PvPing with it. I've cancelled my account because sieges are a laggy, buggy mess, and Funcom has refused to fix + melee damage gems. I might resub when the game gets past beta. But the combat really is amazing. In PvP it's a real challenge to land/dodge combo finishers and much more. There is no reason to go too in depth on it here, but this combat system really is a huge improvement over the traditional system. Here's a PvP instructional video: |

The PvE is nothing but grinding, but you will most definitely run into some great PvP while doing so.

I'm actually alt-tabbed and playing the game right now myself (playing on alts), but my point is that when he says "I currently play AoC ...And honestly there is NOTHING wrong with it", he is either ignorant of end-game problems or completely brainwashed. |

Have you got to level 80 and experienced Age of Gemstacking? Have you been at a large siege and experienced Age of Lag?

It depends on what fast paced means. If it means you die in 2 seconds then no. If it means you need to make lots of quick movements then yes. |

In AoC 1-20 was good, 20-40 was decent, 40-80 was unfinished. I'm definitely seeing it. |

100% agree. Shadowbane is the most revolutionary MMO out there, and it's 5 years old. Everyone complains about modern WoW clones. I'd love to see a Shadowbane clone. Sadly, the lack of success that Shadowbane has had scares away developers. |
