I think Aion will be a big game, the size of other big MMOGs (or similar) in the west; Guild Wars, EVE, LotRO. It  could possibly drop to the next layer, with AoC and WAR are, but I doubt it'll be lower than that in 6 months. I've been wrong before though. :-)

(WoW doesn't count as "big" - it's a behemoth.)

Hehe, fair enough, a bit of trolling on my part. I get a bit tired of all the wanna-be lawyers who claim game companies break laws of free speech, privacy, data acquisition and storage, etc. without really having a clue (not saying you don't, but surely you must agree that it is the norm). I think a little poking fun of your (imo) overly snappy response was warranted though, just like your retort was warranted for me.

Personally, I did it for pure fun. Isn't that why we all play games, after all? :-)

Figuring out how to optimize macros, arrange the group, spec for not keeping an eye on procs, etc. for 5 different classes (5 identical Shamans is boring!) was quite interesting. And doing all that by yourself is harder than having 5 good players control one character each.

I didn't keep it up though, as Wrath of the Lich King came out and I went back to focus on my main characters. Might return to the multi-boxing if I get a bit bored before Cataclysm.

About time that someone takes another shot at (essentially) the MMOFPS genre. Hopefully it'll be good this time around and grow the player base, which is sadly not very big at the moment.

As easy as before, as long as you can run the number of clients you want to (and can pay for the accounts) - depending on when you did it last the specs might have gone up a little. No AddOns needed. Check dual-boxing.com for all the info you need.

I would say try it out, though what little I have played Aion so far made me feel I was just in WoW with barbie dolls instead of action figures. But I have only had time for the first few levels, so I expect it will differ more, especially when getting into the PvP. :-)
