WAR Ranking on xfire not impressive
General Discussion « WAR (Warhammer Online) 9/20/08 12:53:37 PM
Sarcasm right? Wait till people actually start using xfire. I forgot to use it while waiting for release. |

Wow, more stupid complaints. We have some delusional people on these boards. The tiers make the game feel more like an MMORPG to me rather than running around a gigantic world unable to find meeting spots to PvP in. |

Yup, you get a new bag every 10 levels. Overall, this game gives plenty of bag space and makes it something that isn't annoying. |

Warhammer:nope, not the wow killer

It's nice to actually have PvP though. WoW players have 0 reason to stay on WoW if they aren't raiding. |

Roll on Averheim. Incredibly good community and a great Order side. I'm in a casual but competitive guild called Aggression which has lots of members who are fun to be around. Come join us man. We could really use some Rune Priests and I'd be down for RvRing with you. |

I'm sold too. Game runs like crap when I'm in large scale RvR but it's too fun to put down. |

Agreed. Very FUN game. Unlike EVE Online and some other MMO's, this game is just fun, similar to an FPS. Hop on, have fun, do group activities or solo, achieve. |

WoW (at launch) has more RvR and chat
General Discussion « WAR (Warhammer Online) 9/19/08 9:54:45 PM
You're on a low pop. There is a constant 40v40 on all 3 fronts of T2 right now on Averheim, and we're not even one of the highest populated realms. I'M TIRED OF THESE NEGATIVE THREADS. |

I'm not getting all of these negative threads. This game is perfect to me. I can't imagine what more they could have done. It's just FUN. |

I will quote my friend on vent after reading this forum post to him and discussing how broken of a review it is. "Yesterday, I did a quest where I had to infiltrate a monastery by infiltrating the catacomb and I had to assassinate a leader. It was incredible." World of Warcraft 1-60 Leveling - http://www.wow-pro.com/leveling_guides/james_alliance_leveling_guide_-_chapter_i Summary: kill thousands upon thousands of monsters. PvP is of no value gear or experience wise, not to mention the long queues. Waiting for an instance party is boring, unfun and not streamlined. Quests have variety but without a leveling guide you're stuck asking for help on where to go your first time through Final Fantasy XI 1-75 Leveling - Level 1-10 you solo mobs. You unlock your first weapon skill at around level 4 and then are able to use that every few minutes to bring the variety up. VERY long, very unrewarding and very boring. - Level 10-75 you seek a group until you can find a group and then find an area to level up in and meet at a camp spot. If anyone disconnects or has to leave, you have to find a replacement. Many of us have spent hours upon hours looking for a party and finding one within 15 minutes is lucky. Warhammer Online 1-40 leveling: - There are tiers which are all completely different. Each has their own storyline and completely different quests. You can get to another one in no due time, and the quests are dynamic and within close proximity of the quest giver. - PvP is built into the framework and is about just as fast and rewarding as leveling through PvE means. If outdoor RvR is hard to find due to a low population server or late at night, you can queue for a scenario and be pitted against the opposite faction in a fair and balanced matchup. There are many different scenarios scattered throughout the game and all are very different. - Public Quests are an equivalent of an outdoor raid that requires no looking for party. They are incredibly rewarding and give tons of experience. It's seamless and there are hundreds of them from level 1-40. - You also get experience for random things such as finding random hidden items, areas and NPC's. There are also quests and hidden objectives in the capital cities which are very rewarding and help level up the city. Warhammer Online has by far the best leveling experience to maximum level of any MMORPG ever made, period. |

Looks much better once installed from disc
General Discussion « WAR (Warhammer Online) 9/19/08 8:42:58 PM
I'm going to install the full install soon. I will be taking screenshots of the game on low settings before and after, and documenting my FPS in exact situations for a fair comparison. |

Why aren't people allowed to dislike this game?
General Discussion « WAR (Warhammer Online) 9/19/08 8:37:31 PM
Because it's the best MMO ever made to date. That's why. |

War's biggest flaw is it has no community
General Discussion « WAR (Warhammer Online) 9/19/08 12:30:35 PM
Yeah, because the community at level 1-20 in WoW was SO GOOD. [1. Barrens - Billybobjoe] - chuck norriz is lyk super cool! So many weird people making forum posts on MMORPG.com right now. |

Your review does not deserve to have its own forum post. |

I spit my milk all over my monitor when I read this. Funny stuff. |

As a very experienced MMO player, I give it a 9.6. Why? Because it's fun, casual and exciting. They actually bothered making leveling fun and have tons of stability and content on release. |
|
|
Agreed. Great game. |

General Discussion « WAR (Warhammer Online) 9/18/08 6:33:50 PM
Okay, GOD. So to me it's a WoW killer. WoW is nothing in comparison as far as I'm concerned. What do you do in PvP of WoW? Yeah, try me. I raid castles. Kiss my boozum. |
