Suppose you're right. I love America and am proud to serve but there are just some real dummies that I see everyday. One thing that gets to me is the obesity. I guess I just hate laziness. |

World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade Review
News Discussion « General Discussion 6/27/07 1:41:55 AM
Great review. It's hard to go against the grain and give WoW a medium score considering everyone swears that it's the best thing to ever happen to the world because of the current subscription numbers. I for one really pity the game and think a 7.0 is well deserved for this expansion. Keep up the reviews. |

Great review! I haven't played it but after what I've read from other people, you seem pretty precise on your ratings. |

You are a very negative guy. Everywhere I see you, you have something negative to say. You need to be more respectful. |

Does anybody know any "satisfying" mmo?

Originally posted by Frumph Hmm, let's see. You obviously don't know much about the game considering your first sentence is unsupported. Anyone who has played EVE Online at least a bit will tell you otherwise. Even frigates are incredibly useful in 0.0 territory and group battles. Also, have you not played WoW at a competitive level? I played for nearly 2 years, did all of the pre-naxxramas bosses before it came out and such, and that game was MUCH more in favor of a long-term hardcore player. Someone with top gear in that game could absolutely wreck others. Secondly, UNIQUE? What in god's name are you talking about? Name a game that is even like EVE Online. There are none. It is unique and while not a perfect game, it shares NOTHING in common with nearly any MMO out there. Thirdly, I am looking at your forum post history and all of them are negative. You seem to be a forum troll, I'm going to stop feeding you now. To all who were turned off from EVE by his naive comment, ignore it. It is worth a try and is a very strong hit or miss game. If you like it, you'll fall in love.

The game isn't from the USA. It is from EU, where the world is much different. It might be considered cool to wear an EVE hat over there. Over in California where I'm from, people make fun of you for it. It's quite a shame that everyone is too busy watching MTV. |

Better suited for the ratings section itself. It's a hit or miss game, really it is. Not many people feel like coming home and playing something that requires thinking. I personally got tired of WoW after getting every piece of gear for my class and then realizing how incredibly bad the process is. Other than that game, I can't see anything else worth 5-15$ a month besides this. It's beautiful, deep, customizable, and has the most mature playerbase of any MMO. I am yet to run into a little "dbag" (I know they're there but I found one in every other MMO I've played within minutes). Tough luck my friend. |

Bingo. I'm a noob and I'm lovin' the game. Does anyone know how many active subscribers the game has? MMOG charts hasn't updated in about a year so I'm curious as to where this game sits on that list. |

With all due respect, I disagree with a lot of the hate because it requires no life. I have played about every top 10 MMORPG for at least a month and this one is possibly one of the most casual if you let it be. No matter what Online RPG you play there will be elitism. People will only recruit people who play a whole lot and have all the great stuff. I am personally a noob and it's still fine. There are other noobs, and there are also people who recruit noobs. The variety is what counts. The really good thing going for this game is that you don't have to grind for 2-4 months to get to max level and then login to just have fun rather than grind. There is a large variety of things to do in this game, and a variety of challenges. I for one, am behind giving it a top 3 MMORPG award and will say that even behind WoW, FFXI and Lineage, this game can let you play at a minimal pace and with minimal effort and still get somewhere without having to kiss butt to get into a guild just to raid 40 hours a week for items. |

Hey guys, Jonny here. I just started playing 2 days ago and I'm sold. I also played the game for a week back when it first came out but at that time I played FFXI. Anyways, I have lots of MMO experience, ranging from playing WoW at a hardcore level for nearly 2 years to getting 75 in FFXI. I am dedicated to doing my best in EVE. I currently play as a mission runner as well as miner but I plan to give everything a shot and be as versatile as possible. |

Played it for a year and a half. Did all pre-naxx release content. Absolutely wasteful to be honest, and yes, I'm not a dedicated WoW hater.

Looks great. If all goes well it may just make the game more popular than ever before.

I've purchased the game twice now and both times I quit within a week. There's just something about it just doesn't make it appealing to me. Something about how immature most people are and how you run around the world by yourself.
