Well you don't have to pay anything for the game, only for the subscription =). I went back to Vanguard few months ago and gave it a good try, you must know that VG is a group-based game, I leveled from L15 to L36 by only doing group dungeons and shadowhound questline with the same group!

Unfortunately I played a hayatet shaman and by that level I had only healing gear (full set from CW) and all my mates I used to group with stopped playing, that's pretty much why I stopped playing, it was impossible to find another group. But hey, I played on the EU server Halgar wich doesn't have as much people as on Seradon I think.

As for Everquest 2 I have no idea, tried the trial before I decided to resub to Vanguard, guess that's something. What would really help is if you can find a couple of friends or on this community people who are willing to play with you. I never liked solo-playing anyway, it's called MMO.

I would say a newbie guide to your shaman is a little late? the game has been out for nearly 5 years but hey..

Going to upgrade from trial account. Found a nice corporation.

It doesn't matter that jumping isn't useful, being able to jump adds a more realistic feel to an MMORPG(Any game) wether you like it or not. Why do we jump in real life? probably 50% of the times just cause we feel for it, it's the same in-game.

Only played it once then i uninstalled it. Once you play MMO''s singel-player games never feel the same.

If they only care about the JOURNEY, woaaw.. then go do a singel player game of it.. geez..

Use TCPview when your playing and check the IP on the server, do a cmd ping check, easily done.

I bought the CE edition, now it's just 2 months to go ^^

ah sorry, my bad.. guess i should have explained that a little better. what i meant was a local version of it, so as you walk through a market or something you can hear actual people trading stuff.

thats another thing though, the way most mmos have a chat system wouldnt work in a hardcore RP MMO

This could be done with 'Mumble' integrated to the game.

If you have big problems with questing & story (yellow quests) then a MMORPG maybe isn't the thing for you.
