As if 150-200 would be enough to sample "Real Tranquility". Dreamers.

EVE Online: Client Source Code Leak Story
News Discussion « General Discussion 4/16/08 10:58:07 AM
Stop with this rumour. NOW. The "decompyle" of the Dragon release (which is more than 2 years old) is common knowledge for ages, and it has been seen my a multitude of people, and it's just what it is: decompile of some APIs, not "client source code". 3mb of Python APIs might be useful, (for the evemu.sourceforge.net guys) however, there's no reason for this nonsense. The amount of news sites spreading this lie is amazing.

No surprise. And yes, the "Read more" is a dead link.

EVE Online: Incompatible (Protocol) Error Fixed
News Discussion « General Discussion 2/20/08 1:51:46 PM
I'm sorry, but this news report is totally incorrect. The 1.02 patch was implemented 24 hours ago, not "in January".

Warhammer Online : Age of Reckoning: WAR Beta Rises to 500,000 Players
News Discussion « General Discussion 12/13/07 1:01:08 PM
According to the very limited list of countries available when one applies to the beta, what they really mean is "500k USA beta testers". Europe, on that list? Lies.

EVE Online: CCP Press Release Re: Boot.ini Bug
News Discussion « General Discussion 12/06/07 9:43:02 PM
1 - boot.ini deleted off your XP and W2k install is not "an issue", it's a big screw up. 2 - XP and W2K users are not "a small amount of users", it's more like 90% of the Eve universe.
Again, CCP tries to sweep a big, humongous, pathetic, EPIC fail under an "icelanding rug of responsabilities". The thing is, this time they may have legal issues. And don't even try the "oh it's covered by the EULA" this time, because this is way past the EULA. At least 3 players i know (and, 1 IS a lawyer) are looking into it. This time, CCP will have problems.

EVE Online: EVE Available for Mac and Linux Users
News Discussion « General Discussion 11/07/07 5:25:37 PM
EVE runs on Wine for more than a year now. CCP never cared. Nor gave support. Now they just hand over some scripts for Cedega to run it with less user intervention, and they say they found gold. They didn't. And from the dev posts regarding the Linux/Mac support, they will not be able to support it, as they do not have the needed *nix knowledge to do it. Transgaming guys will have a hard time in the EVE Forums, now...

I run Eve on Wine (Linux AND Freebsd) for more than a year now. Big deal. This is a Cedega running Wine, anyway, it's not native.

Me too.

You forgot to say that the "Known Issues" list on this patch is larger than the list of new features.
Thumbs down to CCP.. again.

EVE Online: Revelations II, June 19th Release Date
News Discussion « General Discussion 6/15/07 6:38:01 PM
Reactivating your account? That's not smart.
Looking at your sig, i can see you have 900k SP. With the recent changes in character creation, that's worth... 0 minutes played. All new chars start with that, now. I had 30 Million SPs before i cancelled last month. That's two and a half years playing. Reasons? Recent DEV cheating, GM cheating, events rigging, and a friend banned unfairly for "hacking allegations". He is an accountant. He can barely turn on his PC and double-click the "word" and "excel" icons. His petition was closed with a very rude "this has taken too long". This is P2P, respect is demanded. Oh, and let me tell you: "too long" because GMs sometimes take 3 weeks to answer a petition. After last year's Fanfest, where everyone saw publicly on EveTV the CCP CEO completely drunk, wearing a kilt (scottish insult), babbling an utterly failed attempt at english language, CCP only became one thing for me: "pathetic". I have kids, but they are -flexes proudly- more mature than all of CCP. One month earlier and i could have offered you a 30Mil SP account. It meant nothing for me. |
