1 -  boot.ini deleted off your XP and W2k install is not "an issue", it's a big screw up.

EVE runs on Wine for more than a year now.

CCP never cared. Nor gave support.

Now they just hand over some scripts for Cedega to run it with less user intervention, and they say they found gold.

They didn't.

And from the dev posts regarding the Linux/Mac support, they will not be able to support it, as they do not have the needed *nix knowledge to do it.

Transgaming guys will have a hard time in the EVE Forums, now...

I run Eve on Wine (Linux AND Freebsd) for more than a year now.
