I'm really sorry for anyone who is anticipating any Webzen game. First off, all their prior games have been total garbage. Second, every game they have in development has had release dates set years previous to now, and never saw any light of day, nor any explanation as to why nothing ever came of them. Huxley is one such title. I was excited for Huxley, and a few other of their titles. I eagerly awaited their release, or even testing... yet... years have passed since then. They either need to a) stick to timelines or b) stop committing to unreasonable goals. |

1) This game has been in development for way too long... I remember reading about this before WoW came out... 2) It looks like they bought the engine rights from Fairyland, if anyone else remembers that game. Nice looking, but still isometric and cheap 3) ... North American release date? I hope not. Keep it to the asias. |

That's the same video clip, from someone elses camera, in the same room... except the quality on this persons camera is... you guessed it... OVER NINE THOUSAND!!!!! Frankly, and this goes the same with the million DBZ games for the PS2 and beyond that are the EXACT SAME, they need to let this franchise die. If the game works anything like the show, you could walk on the moon before anyone makes a single attack. Yes, I went there. How many episodes did they need for someone to charge one attack anyway? Did someone keep track? or did everyone just skip to the last episode? |

As long as your motherboard has an open PCI-E slot, or even has one to begin with, it will be fine. I run a 9800 GX2, 4GB of ram, and an AMD Phenom, and it runs easily on max. An 8800 with those specs should run low to medium low, no issues.
Good luck :) |

So, first of all, saying things about associates like "we will say anything to get you to pre-order" is not exactly nice. Were human beings too you know. You think were not customers like everyone else? Seriously. Second, yes, beta keys went out a long while ago. I work at an EB Games in Canada, and we got our keys weeks ago. They were gone within a day or so. More than likely they are already out of keys, unfortunately. There is no way to get more, unless head office sense them of their own free will. We may get more at release, but that wont do much for beta, now will it? Unfortunately your best bet is to keep checking, they might get shipped more soon. Other than that, look around at other places, and see if they still have keys. |

I agree 100%. With all these new engines for this, or that, or 'the players want this feature that requires a full-blown team to create and will now be a staple of games' and what not, not to mention that there are now specialized degrees popping up everywhere, things are going to get a lot more specialized, and a lot more competitive. The video game world is still a baby in most aspects, and as with everything, will grow and evolve. If you look at any company model, it always changes, jobs come and go, morph and expand, whatever. So yeah, I agree. Things are going to change a lot, and keep changing. The key is knowing what you like. What really drives you. What makes you want to be in this field. If you can find all that, and get your head planted somewhere, then get your foot in the door, good luck to you. |

Don't listen to the flaming forum crawler above. Heres how it works.
It sucks, it was a mistake, but mistakes happen. They will happily change your order, and no, they won't be sold out. Allocations wont be out until the last month before the game comes out, so up until that point, game stop will allow them to keep ordering. After that point, the distributor can't promise more stock, and therefore gamestop will stop orders, to try their best to make sure everyone gets their copy on day one, instead of having to wait. If you think in a less narrow-minded perspective than "They're out to get me" it makes sense. However, if you just want to whine, read above my post. Hope that helps. |

If you want to know the truth its a) I don't have kids and b) it's 4:30am here right now. I have to work at 8am, but 2-3 hours sleep works well enough, with maybe an hours nap when I get home from work. Today was my day off, my only day off in any given week, so I tend to sit down for a while and play. Today, other than making dinner, I was on WoW from 1pm till about 30 minutes ago, so that gives me 15 hours, give or take with making dinner, taking my dog out, and dealing with other bodily functions today only. After work, I tend to squeeze in two to three hours a night, with just enough time to snuggle on the couch a bit, watch some tube with the wife, talk about the day, and hop into bed for the night. Since she gets home late, it makes my personal time a little more available. Want to know what color my sheets are too? Or does that satisfy you enough? Hell, I play with a bunch of married couples. Want me to get them in on this too? I'm sure they could tell you how to schedule some fun into your day too. |

Apparently you don't work too hard then, considering I work 48 hours a week at my own job, and have a wife, not to mention a nice set of inlaws that love to drop by at the most inopportune times. Rather than me playing too much, maybe you work too little. You don't achieve anything in life doing it half-assed. Try putting a little effort into your life, it might help a bit ;) |

As far as combat goes, I use 1-7, then for the last 3 slots I bind 'Q' 'E' and 'F' for quick use (counterspell, sheep, bash, taunt, whatever is needed by the character) then I have two buttons on my mouse, where my thumb sits, which I use for two essential skills (blink, flash heal, whatever) and that helps make things fast for either PvP or quick thinking PvE fights. |

The art is rather bland. As you said, it's early though, so you have time. There are no transitions, the models are incredibly... wrong. Nothing fits where it's put. The art is too all over the place. I hope you can fix that. Other than that, the game sounds like a great idea. But we all have heard hundreds of games that sounded amazing, and never came to life. Never made it anywhere. Never delivered. There are many promising games out there, promising much like yourselves, that have never made it to a formal test. Too much vision, and not enough implementation will kill you. Good luck though, lets hope you don't fall into the void like 99% of companies who have 'great ideas'. |

So, I read every page of this filth. Every page of this stupidity laden, grime encrusted, bull that the OP has been spewing out. Here's the way I see it. The OP is the guy, who you ignore in general chat, because someone says something he disagrees with, so he argues over the internet, thinking he's a tough guy. That he's better than everyone else playing. That he deserves better than them, because he's 'special' oh wait, no sorry, because he's not a piece of 'scum' like the rest of us. The OP is that guy who, reluctantly, joins your group, because he has no choice, skims through the quest, leaves, steals anything he can, and promptly puts you on ignore, because you weren't up to his standards. What the OP is muttering is what we call an, let me link this for his intellectual appreciation, Ad Hominem argument. Basically, since i'm sure he's too pompous to go read that, it means he's being an emotional... what's a word that won't get me banned... child. The OP is asking for an intellectual and reasonable response, yet anyone with an intellectual or reasonable question, or even a reasonable response, he just blows past, and continues on his rampage of non-sense. If he was actually looking for an answer, he would attack peoples ideas, instead of attacking the people themselves. So, rather than sitting here, acting like a child. Be that 47 year old man that your profile says you are, and grow up. Go out, read reviews, read websites, and find your game. To say that no one makes a game that fits you and your 'insert single digit amount of friends here' friends, actually look. Now that my personal views on your immature behavior are over, I will conclude with saying a lot of good games have been posted in your favor. People actually trying to help you. Why don't you have a look into them, and go play them. MMORPGs are clearly not your games, as you stated, you have stopped playing them. Go try the games listed, or look up other ones, because you are obviously not getting the 'respect' you deserve, your highness. Your loyal and faithful subject, |

are the 100,000 posts about it all around and in the WoW boards not enough? No offense, but read them. All you're doing is going to start a flame war that everyone is going to jump on. Not a good move. PS - 5 words is generally a good sign you didn't put too much insight into your post |

So, I know there is player housing in vanguard. I'm a huge fan of such things. I enjoy being able to craft neat things, display them, and possibly use them. I don't always want to be raiding/adventuring. So my question is: how well done is the player housing? I liked the way EQ2 had player housing, but I hated how it was done. Instanced player houses that were only in SPECIFIC spots, in towns were horrible. I like to be able to find my little spot out in the middle of nowhere, and plant a house if I wish (like say Wurm online). Also, I like to be able to build my house, not just pick some pre-fabricated piece of crap. SWG lets you place houses anywhere, but it's all pre-fabricated, rent operated, and such. So I guess I just need to know how they do it. I really would love to be able to have my own place somewhere in the countryside =) |
