*Points down to sig* You've got me and about 50 others from our guild heading over as well. Don't worry, we'll crush those big headed brutes |

1) preordering costs $0, so no, you're not paying for anything, or covering the cost of the disc, the packaging, the shipping, and having to pay the retailer to display/distribute this item 2) downloading these days takes a matter of hours. it's not as big of a deal as it was a decade ago when we were all playing everquest and dark age of camelot |

I was thinking the same thing, but the character models are WAY too detailed for RC. Unless there has been a recent update. Blitz3D isn't base equipped for upgrades, and I know RC wasn't programmed in BlitzMax, which WOULD allow for such things... so i'm curious as well. |

Now, is the game back up and running? Or are they just announcing that it will be back soon? Because I could love to be able to play again =D |

You know, I watched the video and I have to say... I never thought ANYONE would do ANYTHING worthwhile in that free MMO maker program but damn. For what it is, that game is really good. Most games made in that craptacular engine are just that, craptacular. I am glad to see someone taking some REAL initiative, to make something really different. Good job, and good luck with that. |

At least Neocron exists. All FE has been for the past few years is vaporware. If they pull through, grats to them, but until then, Neocron still has a one up on them. |

I've only had the chance to play till level 8 in warhammer. Simply, between the public quests, scenarios, open pvp zones, and the amazing world (mind you this is for ALL levels not this 'you must hit level cap before you can do all this content' crap)there is absolutely nothing keeping me with WoW anymore. Blizzard ruined WoW with TBC, and WOTLK isnt bringing it any closer to being better. WAR is the way of the future. |

Speaking of being an ass, and I hate to be one... but honestly... I want to know when they make this update: Your game launches, everything is black. Richard Garriott appears on screen and starts screaming like a psychotic child, yelling at you for playing his sad excuse for a game. No wait, he did that, it was in the form of that stupid boxing ad they just released, which, I might add, was completely pathetic. This game looked amazing. Then they released it. |

if you watch any of the informative mythic podcasts, information sessions, or have played DAoC, mythic has a way to deal with realm balance issues that works well. in other words, pick whatever you want to play. population is a stupid reason to choose what to play in a game. |

When I played AoC I played on absolutely maximum settings, with a full 60FPS, no drops, ever. I don't see what all this performance crap is. Mind you, the game really isn't all that good, but the performance ive never had an issue with. |

While the 8800gt is a great card, it's starting to get dated. Yeah, it's price effective, but how much longer is it really going to last you? Sure, if he's running an outdated single or dual core PC, which I am assuming he may well be, running a dell and all, it will last him a bit. So yeah, with your current rig, good recommendation. |

What does your motherboard support? Does it support PCI Express? Dual or single? PCI-E x16? Are you looking for DirectX 10 support? What is it that you're trying to run exactly? And what are your other specs? An over powered graphics card wont do you much on a subpar system. |

I'm running quad core and dual graphics cards, and the game runs max... it's beautiful. On another topic, somewhat related to the original, I know SOE reactivated accounts till the end of july. If someone were to make a trial account today could they play till the end of july as well? |

Agreed. Also, as a pally, my "block" skill chain has an active timer of about 3 seconds, and every time I accidentally use another ability, I lose my chance to use it. Crit chains seem to have a longer timer, don't know why... Either way, the combat system in VG is pretty great. After playing a mage in WoW for more than 2 years, getting bored, leveling a druid and a priest, and realizing nothing ever actually gets fun about WoW combat, it's a great change. Also, on a side note, it seems more and more people are switching to VG every day. Hoorah! ;) |

Lobotomist, I don't think you have actually read what people are saying about skill chains and counter attacks. Most classes (all that I have played) in Vanguard have special abilities that can only be triggered when specific other conditions are met. IE: You hit skill 1, skill 1 crits, Skill SuperUberMega is now available for use only for a short window because skill 1 crit. Now, if you had already queue'd up another skill, and ended up using that skill instead, you would no longer have the ability to use Skill SuperUberMega, because you were dumb enough to queue another spell and not wait to see if Skill 1 had crit or not. Multiple people have stated this, and you have yet to actually respond to it properly. If you look at it from a technical standpoint, queueing skills would inhibit your use of such 'chain' abilities, thus rendering them useless, and taking a really neat aspect out of the game. |
