He's jittery from all the drugs he had to ingest in order to be that incoherent, unfactual, and unintelligent. As you said, Mythic makes the games, EA just publishes. As well, one of the HUGE factors in Mythic's decision to sign with EA, and one reason it didn't go through once, and had to be offered a second time, is that EA is not allowed to interfere with Mythic's development past the obvious acceptance of important decisions. Frankly, Mythic did a great job, owned up to everything they did/didn't do, and I appreciate that. I'm sure we've all been screwed by MMO companies lies before, and Mythic is on it's way to greatness from what I can see. Good luck everyone, and see you online. |

"Realms Of The Dark Ages is a medieval Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game. You control your own character who will improve the more you play. There are monsters to kill, quests to complete, and treasure to win. You can gain ranks, join teams and fight other players. You will be able to level up your character allowing him to unlock more spells, weapons and get stronger." I'm sorry... umm... yeah. That paragraph speaks for itself. By the way... lol lol Realm Crafter for the lose! PS your windows movie maker is showing |

I have to disagree with you on the CC bit. Yes, there is CC, no, not every class has it. One really neat thing about WAR is the class dynamic. How every class needs to work together, to be efficient. No, you cannot have a whole group of shamans like WoW and win. You just can't. The CC in WAR comes from the "ranged DPS" classes, who's role it is to support the tanks, protect the healers, and guard things in general. Therefore, they are equipped with a lot of immobilizing abilities, as well as physical knockbacks, in order to keep players away from the healers, and push them back into the battle. The CC in WAR isn't as you would see in WoW, where you can completely cyclone chain a player because you suck. You actually have to use your abilities wisely, because if you don't, and your CD is up, your healer dies, and well... there goes the great team you had setup to protect your keep. Again, it's a subtle balance in WAR, and once you really get it, every aspect is there, it's just spread out in a careful way to make everyone a necessity, and no one useless in any situation. |

As much as I have to agree with you, I will also say that there has to be some want for it, or they wouldn't be making the 5th expansion of it, and it would have died out before it existed. Also, this is only one of their what... 6 card games? Obviously SOMEONE is playing, or it would not continue. If there is ONE thing SOE is good at, it's taking every cent they can from their customers, before changing their game and leaving them high and dry ;) |

Find something better to do. There is no gore. Gore is stupid, pointless, and a waste of time, and resources. Movies like Saw suck, because of the simple fact that they have gore a shock factor, and no substance. I would rather have substance than shock factor, thanks. |

His point is that your analogy between cars and MMOs is not valid. Cars depreciate over time, and therefore lose value, making a newer car better and worth more. As multiple people in this thread have been saying, and you have been ignoring, MMOs appreciate over time, with updates, feedback, and balancing. Therefore, an older MMO is worth more, because of time and development invested. You cannot compare a static object like a car with a dynamic object like a piece of online software. Compare apples to fucking space ships anyone? The previous posters are correct. Only so much can be done before a game comes out, everything after that is polish and shine. So yes, as was said, you cannot compare a 4 year old game to a game that is not yet out, since the 4 years of investment make a huge difference in the final product. As a huge Warcraft fanboi, you should know that warcraft was absolute garbage during beta and at launch, and it's only that 4 years that made it what it is today (not that its anything more than garbage now, just a different type of garbage). Thanks for your time. |

Don't you dare call me stunty... lol. I did, a few times, but only to get some food, fresh air, and bio breaks. The game's too good. I can only imagine how bad of an addiction it will be on release. If you're not playing, you should get yourself a key. It's worth the time. |

Agreed. I started playing... 9 hours ago. Haven't gotten up. Engineers are amazing! PQs are rediculously addicting, and the scenario pvp is hundreds times better than WoW BGs. Anyone looking for an all-around fun MMO, here's your ticket guys and gals. Sit back, enjoy, and don't grind for 10 sets of armor for just playing your damned game. 1 set to rule them all. |

lol while sitting around I was reading the history of mythic, and I found this entertaining. Heres the link for you guys: http://www.mythicentertainment.com/history/ "Many members of that same talented team [DAoC] are now hard at work on Mythic's new MMORPG based on the Warhammer fantasy world created by Games Workshop. It is scheduled for release in 2007." Got a good laugh about that. I remember waiting for it last year as well :S |

Today, I recieved an e-mail titled "Warhammer Online - Join the Battle on the Road to WAR!" and the e-mail was 300 bytes, and was blank. Anyone else get this e-mail? was it blank? or was that supposed to be a beta invite? I got it delivered to MMORPG.com mail, and I always have issues with the mail system here =/ Any help appreciated. |

I've used you guys for my main video game mail source (I get all my game news and mmo stuff sent to my mail here) but recently, with just the size of e-mails these days with all their pretty pictures and such, the whole 500kb of space you guys are giving are unfortunately not working out anymore. Is there any way, even if I do it through you guys directly, to get my mail forwarded to another address? I love using you guys for my mail, I can stop here, check the latest news, check my mail, and by on my way, but I have had 3 or 4 e-mails now, that I have NO CLUE who they're from, and they keep bouncing with a simple notification of "You are not going to get this mail because it was too big" which is a big deal, since it doesn't even tell me from who it was from, so now I have no way to know who to respond to, and ask for a resend of the e-mail. Again, simply, is there any way to get it forwarded? I have well over 25 different sources of information sent here, many of which I can't change the mailing address on. Any help appreciate, Thanks. 1) preordering costs $0, so no, you're not paying for anything, or covering the cost of the disc, the packaging, the shipping, and having to pay the retailer to display/distribute this item 2) downloading these days takes a matter of hours. it's not as big of a deal as it was a decade ago when we were all playing everquest and dark age of camelot |

I was thinking the same thing, but the character models are WAY too detailed for RC. Unless there has been a recent update. Blitz3D isn't base equipped for upgrades, and I know RC wasn't programmed in BlitzMax, which WOULD allow for such things... so i'm curious as well. |

You know, I watched the video and I have to say... I never thought ANYONE would do ANYTHING worthwhile in that free MMO maker program but damn. For what it is, that game is really good. Most games made in that craptacular engine are just that, craptacular. I am glad to see someone taking some REAL initiative, to make something really different. Good job, and good luck with that. |
