I like magic and swords and healing and working together in a group to prove my group is better than any other group out there, I like to strugle.....compensate... adapt..... overcome.....anniahalate.... conquor.  the struggle of mmorpgs appeals to me.

i honestly dont care how good the graphics are or how much blood theres gonna be or some wierd new combat style...that is why i am so hyped for WAR. Sure it may not have the best graphics but it brings alot of new and interesting ideas to the fantasy MMO genre. I think people are starting to forget that the whole point of playing a game is to have FUN. Yes, FUN. Remember that word? WAR looks incredibly fun, especially since i enjoy hardcore pvping. Some people are so in love with AoC cuz it has some nice graphics and some new combat. Big deal! How long do you expect that "OMG NEW COMBAT" excitement to last? I dont mean to bash AoC cuz im sure it'll do fine, but right now WAR looks so much more impressive.

But hey, i could be wrong (highly doubt it though). So if you think WAR looks cheap and unsatisfying, dont play. Actually it's better for the rest of cuz less ppl means more room to quest and less lag

I'm actually gonna play an Orc Choppa but if i was playing an Empire class it would definitely be Bright Wizard cuz i like how Paul described them as pyromaniac's. And they look cool too.

I already did

I started playing this back in May 2005. I must admit, it was the most fun i had ever had. It was also my first MMO so that made it even more fun. I remember those awsome parties back in Kalluga killing those wolves...those were the best. And the old inferno, man was i in love with that. Yup, this sure was a great game. Then as time went on, and K2 got dumber and dumber, KO got worse and worse, to the point where it was just plain crap. My friends and i still talk about how wonderful this game was back then, and how much we wish we could bring it back. Because this game was better then any other MMO, it was a God compared to WoW. But time goes on and things change. So with my last few words i would like to take this time to say this: "%#$@ YOU K2 NETWORK! $%#@ YOU@!

I suggest u try WAR when it releases. Meets most of your requirements.

You know, since when does everyone only care about looks in a game? Sure AoC has the good looks and whatever u wanna call the combat style, but is that all you ppl look at? I'm not saying its going to be a bad game, cuz i know it'll do just fine, but the reason why i'm not looking forward to this is because it doesnt seem like it will last.

I'm more hyped for WAR because I dont care about looks or M rating, i wanna have fun, and since when is PvP not fun. I'm sure anyone who played WoW will understand me when i say that I am dying to do some hardcore, meaningful PvP.  Obviously i know AoC will have PvP, but at this point WAR seems more impressive.

And also, all you people saying WAR is WoW are just thinking of an excuse to bad mouth WAR. If u actually saw the videos and read abou the game there is no way you could possibly think that. You probably just took one look at the graphics and said "OMG it looks like WoW!"

AoC and WAR will be two very different games and it will be interesting to see which one draws more attention.

Are you a long time offline WAR player, or possibly you see something which I have missed that is new and exciting.

well put it this way...200,000 beat sign-ups in ten days pretty much means that 200,000 people will buy the game(or atleast want to buy the game) within the first ten days. By the time it releases will will defenitely be more.

when it releases they wont have skaven but in a future expansion they may very likely be added.

I dont recall anyone ever saying "this game is going to suck because its not WoW."

And also, Fion, WAR is the exact opposite of WoW. The only thing that's similiar is the graphics.

will they even have an open beta? Cuz alot of p2p games dont have open beta, just the closed.
