Its pretty funny though cuz if u monitor the hype comments for a bit, you will notice that it is the same person going to the WAR hype and bad-mouthing it and then you see them at the AoC hype and they treat it like God. dude, 200k beta applications is NOTHING.

 

Lotro had over a million beta apps, WoW's beta I can't remember but it was well over 200k.

So, I can't see how you can predict the success of a game from its beta applications numbers anyhow as applying to a beta cost nothing :D

To 8.5 millions. It is Accounts, not players, yes. But people with multiple accounts exist in all games and it has always been accounts, not players. in all games.

So what does it matters?

I also believe most people have 1 account, especially the casual. like me, my wife and all my friends :D

200k beta apps was in 10 days btw... which FYI is a huge amount. It's even higher now. And when i say that WAR's number will surpass WoW i mean after so many WoW players will leave for other games as well, such as AoC or Aion or whatever other games suit their interest. In the end, that could only mean like 1-2 million people.

If it sucks then I think I ll be done with MMO's for a while.  Sure I like running EOS and AV now cause I am capped but I dont want to go through the same grind  and instance/raid running once again, call me lazy.  I am not saying that War Hammer is going to be better than WoW, you are right it may completely suck, but I d like to try it out anyways.

How can you say the PvE means nothing in WAR? Any quest you do goes towards the war effort, and helps your army accumulate enough victory points to capture a zone. And this is just one of the ways that PvE is of importance.

When WAR releases, Blizzard will most likely lose alot of subscribers but obviously they wont die out. It'll still be around for many years to come. Ok, I didnt notice this the first time i watched these videos, but if you look back to the fourth video with the caster, it says either 60 or 80 under his portrait... Is that his lvl? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Oh and one more thing I forgot to mention...if a game turns out to be crap withing in the first 10 min, you wont want to play it. So just think about that when your watching these.

I mean the recent one where it shows a dwarf standing in front of a mob and swinging with a static 'auto-attack' animation.. about.. every.. 2.. seconds.. before the mob dies in a little special, was prime video of how good or bad WAR will be.

 

And I'm not sure what WAR video ur referring but from watching the recent ones in Baltimore, it looks kick ass!
