I know what you mean. The sound effects of the 2 basic zaps gets really on my nerves so I play sounds muted.

I am almost level 31 now and have mixed feelings about the RK. Sometimes I nuke the crap out of one or even two mobs and sometimes it takes alot of effort to kill one or you can even get killed by one very fast for some odd reason(unlucky I guess?). Seems like there is too much luck involved with playing RK? RK depends on crits too much?

The promissed "Glass-Cannon" is not really there. Sure it is made of glass but seems to only shoot farts and sometimes a bullet but not really cannon balls. I don't really see why the damage has to be so low and all the AOE:s need full attunement to use and that makes almost useless while in solo.

There is one cool spell so far "Epic conclusion" but it isn't really epic if it does not crit also it has quite long cooldown and you have to have full attunement to use it. Very nice animation though!

Turbine has marked this as "Advanced" class. It isn't that hard to play (Managed to get the Undying tittle or what ever it's called if you get to 20 without dying) It is more annoying though because you are punished hard for even small mistakes and even if the spells get resisted and theres nothing you can really do on the latter.

Overall its pretty fun and usefull class(in groups) but feels gimbed at the moment.

Bioware has never made games about grinding for gear. all of Biowars games were storyline and character focused. I suspect this game will have a similiar direction.

Dare I say sandbox type feeling? i refuse to call it a sandbox, but from the elements of which i hear, i get alot feeling that there will be sandbox elements in game. especially when it comes to being character focused.

There is first time for everything and I would not be suprised at all if they did a "WoW-Clone"

Playing Runekeeper too. Mine is level 15 now and so far it has been a bit of dissapointment. Too low damage for very low survivability and no emergency skills/spells. It's like playing a gimbed hunter tbh. Hopefully things change at higher levels.

Saw you used the € so I don't know what the prices are on that side of the pond but the Velociraptors have came way down in price here in the US starting @ around 127 €  after rebate for the 150 GB versions, and  191€ after rebate for the 300GB versions. Back when I bought these 2 regular drives the prices for the old Raptors was sky high and the drives were tiny. Times change.

You probably have one of these WD VelociRaptor™ I'm assuming? Yeah those babys are fast as hell but also cost a fortune around here (Finland)

300 GB - 317.00€

Edit: If the random access time (12 ms) is causing the hitching it's just poor coding and Turbine should improve it.

hate to break it to you but those Caviars are far from fast, they are about the same speed as my old WD 250.

What do you mean? It is one of the fastest drives from the 7200 RPM ones. The regular performance/value drives. Of course those 300€ Raptors are faster but I just dont want to pop that much money on just 1 HD.

The hitching problem had nothing to do with graphics settings. The people that suffer from it have it even if everything is set to lowest possible.

They will probably make the jedi/sith equal to everyone else and much like in WoW there will only be combat classes that can pick some cookie-cutter crafts if they like.

What *I* would like is the same thePREdiger already said. Jedi being somekind of rogue class kinda like in D&D games. High evade, reflex, block , low HP, high damage and some powers. Would fit the movies IMO.
