What are your wishes for classes in TOR? ^^
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 10/11/09 4:40:52 AM
How about a droid that could adapt in multiple situations. Ranged, melee, healing or something else? A kind of "jack of all trades, master of none"? |

Thanks for the update! The video itself was a bit "meh". Now we probably have to wait another month for a decent update. |

It should have been Mass Effect Online...

They will learn that most MMO players are not interested in story. |

I don't know why so many people are looking forward to a single player game.
Single-player games can be good too and there is already proof that this is more than a SP game. |

Anyone else think the graphics are kind of sub-par?
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 9/19/09 1:00:09 PM
The graphics are fine. It's just the circus freak propotions of the human characters that bother me, |

to be honest why this holocon is waste. players don't need to be power leveled to 50. just questing i could reach lvl 30-40 in 2-3 days with the legacy quest. the most i can reach max level in 1-3 months tops.
Not really. The Legacy questline is so horrible that most new players want to gauge their eyes out while doing it. Skipping it may help the game to keep some of the new people. |

Any Vets going to play Fallen Earth ?
SWG Veteran Refuge « Star Wars Galaxies 9/16/09 1:02:52 PM
Tried the beta but it was a bit meh... Seemed like the only thing to do was combat and it sucked. There was crafting but I didn't really have the time to test it out. Only played for few days and then the beta closed. However no mather how good the crafting could have been the combat was atleast half the game and it sucked. |

Can’t Force users just start out neutral (and other classes)

I would be fine if you could switch sides once at certain point when doing your class story. I myself would very much like to play BH on the republic side. Never really liked the dark side story in KotOR and have only played it through as light side couple of times. |

If allowed it might lead to people changing sides like socks. |

I also think it's a bit stupid but nothing is yet 100% written in stone (I think) So as far as I know you can't switch sides but it could still change. |

(Edit) Imagine you start out as Sith Warrior. You are warrior of the sith empire but your aligment is neutral at start. You can slowly shift towards good or evil but you will always serve the empire. Same with the jedi and every other class. You can be evil jedi but you will serve the republic. |

Yep thats what I am saying, a game that came out in 2003 vs a brand new game and SWG movement is far superior. It will be interesting if TOR allows larger than 2 man groups as well.
Are the animations still on "fast forward"? If so I wouldn't call it "superior" and since you said character movement you can't even jump in SWG or has that changed? |

Possible that Kotor Skills will be in ToR?
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 8/30/09 5:33:33 PM
I would like that. It is likely that if they are bringing the KotOR skills to this one, they will probably use only few and simplify it so much that you can't "screw up" your character even if you tried. Like a certain class has a certain skills and the points automaticly go in to the skills when level up happens and you don't really do any decisions. |

I read the review and it peaked my intrest. Is there a free trial I could try? Edit: So I'm guessing there is none. I tried finding it from the official DF page but no luck. |

So let me get this straight. SWG fanboy is saying that character movement in SWG is better than in some other game? Nice one! |

You get the key with free account so I would say it is worth it. |

Yes I did know. For me it seems kind of silly that weapons & other items increase character agility or something else. Makes sense in medieval fantasy with magic but not in star wars. Über Sith Sword of Pwnage +1500 agility. Like I said before I was expecting something different. |

This game looks to be ridiculously fun and stays semi true to the KOTR games. Heck Even Korriban looks exactly like it does in the console games.
I am exicted.
I wasn't expecting sandbox/skill based but I was hoping for something different and not just copy-paste WoW stat system. |
