How does a gunslinger function the same exact way a scoundrel does? They're two different playstyles with different capabilities. Moreover, even when looking at the performance of each individual advanced class there are different ways to play depending on where you spec.

As an example, with scoundrel you can either be a melee scrapper, a ranged dps healer or a slight combination of the two.

Needless to say I completely disagree here.

He means the mirror classes on the opposite side.

Gunslinger = Sniper

Scoundrel = Operative

No, you hit spots on Tat that can only be crossed by taxi. You get extreme exhaustion if you wander past invisible boundaries in the desert and will die if you don't turn around. The lame part is that you can taxi right through those same spots. Its not a deal breaker, but I prefer it to be more open than that.

 

This is correct ( at least in beta ) I tried to walk directly out from the TAXI pad in anchorhead and it is was not traversable... i wanted to run the taxi route... 

well guess what ? You coudn't and I am willing to bet it is still like this.

This is correct. You go in to the exhaustion zone or something and have to use taxi to get out Anchorhead. This is not the case on imperial side though. I never ran in to the exhaustion zone there.

I think they went with the space mini-game cause they thought everyone and their mother just wanted to swing glowbats and didn't want to waste too much resources on it. It could be easily expanded from the current state though?

Smuggler is the closest you can get. Everything else is even further away.

Bounty Hunter - Powertech (The one with flamethrower spec?) Anyways. I almost always end up being the good guy in every game I play so I'm interested to see how it plays out here.

Answer:  Close Enough, I guess. (Can't say for sure yet. Not enough info)

I hate that you can't choose your ship and are forced to certain ship based on your class and ofcourse the ship assigned to BH is the most ugly one ... ugh :|

It's starting to seem like capturing the Star Wars experience is only going to be true for the story elements, because the combat certainly isn't going to do it at all.  For fracks sake, they have the Warhammer Devs to draw on and they can't even make a dual-target mechanic to support hybrids.  Anyhow, Jedi that sit back and heal is NOT a Star Wars experience, but they will be an essential component of group combat (that or smugglers that stand back and heal).

I hear you man. I always played KotOR with one single handed lightsaber no mather what class I went and yes I know the dual-sabers are superior in every way but I just didn't care. The game is easy enough anyway.

This just confirms it. They better have some sort of appearance system like in LOTRO.

Stealth really needs the invisibility or it is useless in this type of games. It was also pretty useless in KotOR1&2 from what I remember. Used it to disarm or place mines mostly in few places but that was it.

When you start KotOR2 it goes something like this. You put your pants on, get a weapon and then you fight stealthers. There's like 20+ stealthers in the first friggin map or am I totally wrong here? Not really a minor part I would say.

Why are some people whining about the dungeons being instanced? They need to be! What kind of horrible camp fest do you really want?

It would have been "too little too late" about 4 years ago.

I wasn't expecting anything like in Xwing vs Tie-Fighter or SWG for that mather. It would have been nice but atleast we have some sort of space-action.
