Brits: What's your feeling about the voice acting?
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 1/23/12 5:58:53 AM
Well, I'm from Barcelona, Spain and don´t feel that BW is attacking us for using EU accents for the Evilish Side. In fact we have been, Europeans, the most expansive and greedy civilization in History, so that We have something in return: the view of the Old Colonies on us is not the good We´d wish. (I speak Queens English as well. East Anglia purests). Loke666, Dwarves with Scottish Dialect is really weird for me, too. They should have their dialogues in Gaelic, translated to Average English in the Text window. It´d be a real deep feature. But well, MMO's have not a very, let's say real or at least moderate, if so... interest in culture. |

I like Realism rather than "stilyzed", and yes, it was near perfect in Star Wars Galaxies. No cartoony and not trying to be Hiperreallistic, but something in the middle. Star Wars Galaxies ruled! |

the OP says exactly the opposite against healers, and you say they are over powered. What is happening?

It sumps up haterism with a lot of ignorance. A lot of tis has been said, if the game is not the encumbrance of newness it is still a next gen mmo with features that can be recognized by the player of the most outstanding themeparks and feel comfortable. |

Gratz CCP. EVE is one of the most oustanding sandboxes in the market, they approach the customer in a very perilous way as it is not newbie friendly, and indeed they win the GOTY! Great! Many Wow Fanbois in this thread spreading anger, I see. |

SWToR will not be exactly PvP centric, its has some flavour of rich PvE and storyline taste, with a very inmersive story. I would like it to have a good PvP side, and maybe the guys at Mythic can add some of it to this outstanding game. Story line centric doesn't mean bad. For harsh PvP i have EVE, that is sci fi too. |

What acitivity in Eve is the most fun / brings you the most joy?

Patrolling Gates with my mates and chasing pirates. This game is what you want to be. There is no one telling you what to do at which level nor dungeons for that item or gear. This game is what you wish it to be, just simple. Life long & Prosper, Fly safe! |

I love sandbox and hate to play themeparks. I think MO is the last hope. I'd like a trial. PM me plz, and thanks for all the fish! |

With so many different focus on how to deal with a genre like this it will be not the Year of the Games but the Year of the Player. |

My Review and after 4.5 years my good bye to this amazing game

Eta Carinea, as a pilot I agree totally with you. There is something in EVE that can not be found in other games, from the behaviour of the mature community until the risk of being destroyed running missions EVE is unique in many aspects. Like you, i'm looking for a new home but still undecided. I need new MMO's. Some idea? |

I guess TERA is so sandboxy as WAR, but with a open pvp world a la L2. If you wish sandbox go to Mortal Online, despite the criticism against it, results a true sandbox. Oh, well, you can try EVE, its a compleated sandbox, but many people say its excel online---- absurd. |

I play a Minmatar, and all the Minmatars in.game assume that we are the rest of a Scandinavian core people who escaped and stablished a civilization togheter with the Brutors and some Asians, but the Diaspora had the effect of making this Scandinavian culture go back to their roots, so far the vikings and mercenaries appeared again in the bloodline. These Post-Scandinavian culture is reflexed in the name of pilots and ships; the Minmatar were enslaved by the Amarrians, but they fought back and escaped to establish a Democracy in the old viking way. -- This is mostly the view of players. |

I've been playing MO for a while, and Darkfall which is a pretty good game, but naming WoW as a contender in PvP with EVE is absurd, and ridiculous. I love EVE but it's the most hardcore game I know of. Once I lost 8M isk in one encounter against to Gate campers... It was my fault, I failed, and the punishment was hard. In EVE there is no mercy. (I lost my ship and all its modules too, that were expensive) |

Mortal Online how many of you play the game and why?

They are going the right way, adding these adorable rats. I think more things will come for WAR.
There is a 3d Faction: the haters.

Well, this is the time for truth. I've been playing WAR since release as I'm a PvP'er at heart. But want to change playstyle, im a little tired of eternal PvP and looking for a good PvE fantasy MMO. I think FFXIV it's the best out there, with a new UI and some hardcore features that makes it inmersive. When I upgrade my PC i will be playing FFXIV in despite of all haters reviews. I'm EU so what i need now its a good Linkshell to collaborate with. I think this game is really awesome, with some issues as any other MMO, but fairly inmmersive and high quality.
