6.  Flying mounts for end game...this is stupid, you need them at lvl 15, you basically do NOT need them at lvl 50

How the crap is hardware going to catch up if it doesnt take advantage of dual core processors? Seriously I am very interested in the idea of this game, but christ they just need to scrap it already and start all over...

Most games are not multi-threaded, its a shame their not then you wouldn't as many perfromance issues.

sony has already spent over 100 mil on VG (most of that was from buying the licensing rights) on a game that took a long ass time to create its not that easy to scrap it and start over, that would be like buying a new house then 3 months later demolishing it and building a new one, its a waste of a lot of money

the only time i have anything like that is right when i log my chars in i get about 5 seconds of lag as everything is being rendered, also when crossing chunks(zones) i get about 2-3 sec hitch

also the downtime is 5am to 7am PDT so if your on the east coast (like me ) they should be back up at 10am

from what i've seen mornings 6-9 is the gap between the all nighters and the people that play during the day.  they take the severs down once a week in the morning for restarts that last for about 2ish hours

looks like you need to upgrade your cpu (VG does not take advantage of dual cores) to at least a 2.4, would be best to get a min of a 2.8 though, a GOOD graphics card

Thats cool but, they still need to take out the sea portals. Then they add in sea monsters, and it leaves a big open area for future expansions.

FIRST: put the riftway system back to the way it was, before SOE changed em or make only one per continent  free access, all others you have to go to first before you can use them

SECOND: take out the sea portals (like they should have been after open beta SOE) I don't know about everyone, but I think it would be awesome to take on a big ass sea monster with a group of people on a boat, or hell try and swim to another continent just to see if you can do it(+ the big ass sea monsters)

making the travel system a little more challenging would be a hell of lot more fun

having certain mobs that spawn during certain times of the day would be another nice feature ( werewolfs out at night only, more undeads at night just to name a few)

i think Hello Kitty Online will kill wOw its just as easy and it has awesome very ruthless PvP

check out amazon.com you can find CE still unopened for 10-20, and you get some nice goodies with the CE  make sure you get a new never opened copy

vanguard is the best crack since pre-pop eq

MS wanted Vanguard to be VISTA ONLY , this is the main reason why Brad left.  MS wanted to use Vanguard to promote Vista ( to try and force people to upgrade to latest and greatest pile of crap o.s. ) SOE is the one responsible for crappy launch of VG. They knew that the game NEEDED more time before being launched, but they saw the potential that VG had going for it. They also knew that Brad didn't see eye to eye with them in running an MMO (i.e. quality/quantity) SOE has deadlines, and they will do whatever it takes to make those deadlines ( cutting out content.)  They pushed the launch date to insure that they could in time take over full control of VG. In time SOE will come out with crappy expansions (EQ PoP and all after) that are nothing but raid content, and no real genuine thought put into them. Who cares about making a good quality MMO lets just throw out a bunch of crap to keep people hooked, and keep the money rolling in.

I'm looking at getting my wife a new laptop, and would like to know if there is one out there that is playing VG on a laptop?  The price range she is  trying to keep me in all I can find have 8600's in them. I know its a decent card, but was just wondering what kind a performance the 8600 has with VG ( with a sufficient cpu & memory)
