The game sold tremendously well and Blizzard is surely doing pretty good with their cuts from the RMAH transactions.  Negative feedback doesn't mean shit to them if they're selling 6,300,000 copies in the opening week at ~$60USD per box.

The dollar bills would be earplugs to any feedback that they'd ever recieve because if you're pulling those kind of figures, it's unlikely you want to hear anything else.

Ill tell you right now, they have not broken even at all from Diablo 3.  

Its not a wake up call persay because of the complaints its a wake up call due to the fact that people are quitting the game left and right.

Bash admited to only hundreds of thousands of players online at a time, and the fact that a good portion of the people that bought the game retruned it.  Hell half my friends did it.

Yeah please allow me to inform you that you are more than welcome to come back to reality. Were do you get your facts from? Random people in some chat room that are also spreading these rumors? This stuff just makes me laugh. Someone just randomly shooting out rumors like there facts then beleiving in them like there true.

Fact, there is A law suit going on in EU for Diablo 3. Fact, people are slowiy not logging into Diablo but theres still a good portion playing, just not as much. Fact, it is not that fastest returned game in history, theres another game that has that title and I doubt they will ever lose it. Fact, no one knows what they have made off Diablo 3 if anything. They have yet to release any numbers except for first week sales. And Bash never admitted to anything, if he did please inform all of us by providing a link to this admission which I'm sure you cant find at this exact moment, right? Please just stop, I'm sure people get it, you do not like Diablo 3.

First off, in my opinion, Diablo 3 is a decent game. It keeps me entertained for the time I play it and I can play with my friends. I don't make my hobbies a chore, which some of you seem to do. I just enjoy having fun in a game. I have a level 60 DH on Inferno Act 3 and a level 54 Monk on Hell Act 3. Is it what I expected it should be after playing Diablo 2, nope. Does that bother me, nope. Why? Because its a different team, and a different vision. Whats so wrong with that. I don't want to play a Daiblo 2 with modern graphics and fresher systems. If i did, I would just go by Diablo 2 and hack up a mod. I paid my money to play a new game, with new systems and a new vision. And I got it. Some of you are just sitting to far into the past and won't let go. Games and play styles change and evolve. So do the companies that deliver these things, If they just kept pumping out old visions and concepts, gaming would be a stagnant money maker and developers would move on. So, there you have it my opinion. Like it or hate it, its mine, not yours.

The reason they can build this system for $100 bucks is the same reason google can sell there Nexus 7 for $199. It runs on the new tegra 3 proccesor which was designed to be low cost. And no, i don't mean the tegra 3 proccessor thats inside the transformer prime. Nvidia came out with a new low cost platform which makes it cheaper to build budget tablets with a bang. And the GPU inside this console will be the 12 core GPU that Nvidia made. All in all, this is a quality console. ANd just a heads up, mobile gaming has advanced at such a rate, that its almost up to par with the likes of consoles.

Not sure how much this game will influence the show seeing as both have different locations. Ones set in St. Louis, the other in L.A I believe. Looks good though, just hoping they have a lot of content to play around with at launch. Than again, what am I saying, its Trion, of course it will.

Just a heads up since i see so many people talking about PoE. Both Path of Exile and Grim Dawn have people From Iron Lore, moreso on Grim Dawn. Iron Lore made Titans Quest and it's expansion. And did you really need to make a post in Diable 3 forums about how much better a game is. I guess your not satisfied just knowing, you have to make sure everyone else knows to? Well hate to burst your bubble, but I'm sure people have made up there minds by now which game is what. We after all, are humans and do have a thought process, just saying.......

Not sure how zerg fests and random server crashes/fps lag was considered fun or even good World PVP but sure. WoW has never really had good world PvP and never will. And i did play WoW from the start, was the first priest to 60 on Horde side Chromagus, next up was Remy. I even remember me and a 50+ warrior named Jovan being the only two over 50 for about a week, and grouping with low 40's in Marudon when that was the best instance because BRD was a messy pull and bugged and Upper BR was still closed. Yep, those days. When the best achievement was getting that dam fishing pole. When raiding Rag was freaking hard and long taking days to clear. Now that's all a blur. But honestly I had better pvp in DaoC in 1v1 duels or in Frontier. Oh well, memories........

WoW is an MMO, so that in itself means its not balanced. On top of the fact they change something about each class every update. Nice try though.... :-)

EBGames has always sucked. They screwed tons of people over back before Aion launched and was selling the beta codes online to the highest bidder. Im shocked they are still a company to be honest. Sadly, for AMerica, they are the biggest retail outlet for pre-orders. Like Avery said, go to Walmart. You may not get the best CS, but atleast you know you will get your copy, and be starred down by the weirdest looking greeter.

1.8 is actually kind of depressing to be honest as a fan of this game for so long. The gear requirement gating is literally getting ridiculous.

 

The main thing that separated this game from WoW was the ability to gear for raids outside of being forced into instanced content. Right now they are starting to fail and it is going to accelerate bad in 1.8. The gear gating on ID is utterly ridiculous and maybe 10% of the population is geared enough even enter.

 

When a majority of your playerbase has not cleared the current raid after 8+ months you are failing as a dev in my opinion. My sub money is going towards a very small part of the playerbase and I am starting to get tired of it.

 

No offense, but how does a dungeon that's diffucult make a game fail. Diffuculty is the best thing about a game, it makes the reward for the accomplishment that much better. Not every game or MMO rather need's to be easy mode or toned down for the masses. And I'm glad Trion see's this and isn't budging, yet.

People should calm down about D3 being a incomplete product. Shoot, there are a handful of websites that all show not only beta footage but information too. It's not incomplete, lets just put it like that. You will get a your singleplayer co-op experience your used to with most Diablo games. You just won't get a lot of the newer systems that they wanted to add on top of it. And it was obvious that a release date was coming. Blizzard has always, and even stated, when they ramp up coverage that means a release date is imminent. Can't wait to play this bad boy!

There has never nor will there ever be a MIRACLE patch for any game. Were one person loves it, the next will hate it. It's called being human. And seriously MMORPG? When did you guys start posting bandwagon stuff like this. Trust me, the only miracles that happen, are at hospitals and churches supposively. And I doubt this game is headed there anytime soon.

So what now? You going to make another post that basically brings people to flame in the comments section. Or shall we start putting up proper threads/posts that dont make people want to start trolling. I mean seriously, look up, enough mod edits or do you guys do this so you have something to do?

I love how people are complaining about NO pvp at launch = doom. Remind me again how much PVP was in d1 or d2? Yeah, thats what I thought.The diablo series has always been and will always be at heart a single player/co-op dungeon crawler. This game doesn't need PVP at all. ANd honestly, I wish more MMORPG's would simply remove it. You cannot do open world PVP in a game because you have to many scenario's that make it almost pointless and chaotic which in the end is not fun. That is exactly why you get force into an instance like WoW and RIFT. Because there you can control it to a point. I mean even when WoW had Open world PVP, what happened? A clusterf$%# in Tarren Mill everyday to the point it impaired peoples questing and leveling. The only game that did PVP correctly was DaoC and even that was bad. The only reason it semi worked was because, wait for it.................. A THIRD FACTION. So who cares if Diablo 3 has no PVP at launch, it will still be a diablo game just like it always has been.

In all seriousness, the reason is probably because, due to the loss of subs, the bottom line isn't healthy enough to fund a party - which is dissapointing. I've always loved watching the Blizzcon Coverage. If anything, a Blizzcon this year could have done plenty to boost the playerbases' morale. They could have treated it as a celebration rather than a platform to showcase product.

Pretty sure Blizzard could fund a party even if they loss half there subs. Pretty sure the reasoning is because they simply have full plates with 2 releases before the party and nothing coming up after that for sometime (e.g. Titan). They do have the starcraft xpac but that just doesnt relate to hosting a large event for and these events are usually planned for huge releases.

Seeing as I work in a field were you have to sign non-competition agreements or not get hired, I will say this. They are frivalous and usually end up getting thrown out of court in the US. In other countries they don't, but in the US many have tried to use them against employess and failed. NCSoft hopefully isnt going to go into this battle with just that against them or they will lose. BTW, in the US non-competition agreements go against ammendment rights that is why they get thrown out. Read through one and you will see. 

Think people need to read a little closer before posting. This is what is removed here. They basically spawned random critters that would pick up gold and stuff for you. They were basically pointless in-game because you can already do this yourself. People may be getting these mixed up with Followers which are still in-game and fight by your side. Followers are found in-game and not by a scroll. Can read more about them here.

Not sure about "every made", but then again I'm not sure why it matters. I've come to the conclusion people just care to much about games nowadays. It used to be about just enjoying a game. Nintendo, Sega and all that seemed new. It was more of a luxury to play games and when you did, you didn't have social tools to express your feelings. Now, with smartphones and the like becoming the norm, and Facebook becoming an everday use tool, people can express themselves without a face. To me, it just seems to much. Maybe I'm not donating much to this post by saying this, but then again this post just seems irrelevant and uninformational. One to his own I guess!

The game is that, just a game. As to the issue with Gamepro there is none. Look anyone can give a review. You dont need to spend hundreds of hours playing a game or be established in the game. I can log into any game right now and get a feel of the game within 15-20 minutes. People sitting here saying 15 hrs isnt long enough are crazy. Do you see food critics in restraunts ordering the whole menu? Do you see car magaziines test driving every chevy cobalt made? 15 hours is plenty of playtime in the game to give a review. Plus the starter area is suppose to be the hook of the game. If the game doesnt hook you by then, whats the point of playing the rest. Put it this way, if I can test drive a car in 15 mins and know if I like it or not, If I can eat a bite of a steak and know if its good, then I can test a game in 15 hrs time or even 1 hour and know its a game for me. 

Rift is a great game, people just have different tastes.

@kantseeme, I think everyone knows you don't like RIFT by now. But if you keep injecting yourself in posts about RIFT, then your making yourself look bad. Its called being adult, making an adult decision, and removing yourself from being flamed. Sure you can post however you want to whatever you want. But remember, it will show your maturity.

Russians will like this game as have us EU and Americans. The game is fine, it's not bleeding subscriptions like some would make you believe. Pretty sure Trion is out of the black and are now making a profit. If not, EON would not have happened. I play RIFT to this day and enjoy it. Is it the best game ever, NO! Is it just a game that takes me away from real life, YES. Can I find enjoyment in it, YES! As for the rest that don't enjoy, do me a favor and go find something to enjoy, your wasting your life away worrying about what others do.

Not sure were you got FPS from, but this is a dungeon crawler at its finest. FPS with 3rd person view? That would be a new one.

Once you get to the theives guild questline, you will run into a huge bug that stops a certain NPC from opening the door. There are workarounds if you search Google or you can find the questID and skip the quest all together using in-game commands. Just a heads up and you will now when this bug hits as it will stop you from progressing. Game is amazing btw!

Honestly money is the reason this type of MMO isn't being developed. All the server calls to them from every action in the game would blow them up instantly. It could happen, but it wouldn't be on a MMO scale of 1000+ players, shoot probably not even 100+. You could probably do it like Blizzard does with Diablo, small rooms of upto 8. Im kind of wondering if Skyrim might be able to be modded to have multiplayer capabilities. Hmm
