Agricola1 - You were so quick (and gleeful) to jump on this, will you jump so fast when CME get current on their payroll again?  You are so dang happy to see them fail.  You can hate Gary Whiting (and for good reason) but remember that a lot of good folks still work there and see enough positives to see this through.  The least you could do is show them some respect.  And don't forget that it's not entire uncommon for a startup to go through this. CME isn't your enemy, it's a company full of funny intellegent and loyal people.  Don't you have better things to do?

Stargate Worlds has been made current on their payroll. You'd think whoever owned this site would have the decency to update it. Proof that some people want this to fail - they talk about the bad things but leave the good things out. Your life has to really suck to go out of your way to show that something is failing but not admit when things are looking up.

In today's economy, hundreds of thousands of people are being laid off around the country, and Cheyenne Mountain lays off a few and people call in the attack dogs? I'd rather have a job with a chance I'll get paid (especially if I do a good job and make a good game) than to have no job at all. And before you say "well, if you got laid off you'd have time to look for a job" I'll reply that there aren't jobs to find right now.

Cheyenne Mountain is current on their payroll, and they are good-heartedly trying to put out the most entertaining game they can. Don't like it? Then leave it alone and find something you like. Why try to make so many others miserable with you? There's no consiracy, no mal-intent (sorry folks). It's ust a small game company trying to compete with the big guys and make the most entertaining game they can. Stop wanting them to fail so badly.

I can't wait for this game!  I just hope it is able to compete with WOW.  It's so difficult these days.  Seems like the casual players all go to WOW, and the rest (must smaller in numbers) bounce around 1 game at a time.

I understand what OP is saying about the hype/de-hype.  I've been watching it happen for Aion for a while.  There will be lots of posts from people who have just joined and have only posted 2 times.  Then, they get enough posts to hype and they hype it to a 10.  Everytime I've seen another game get to the top spot, it sinks fast only to have Aion rise up again.  De-hyping for sure.  There's no way that many people like that game (although it seems to have gone down in hype a bit over the last few weeks).

Fact is, so many people have their favorite game and don't want the others to get good attention.  Doesn't make sense to me as these boards probably don't convince many people to buy a game or not.

To those that are bashing the "bashers" - - what do you expect?  We have been waiting for this game for a very long time and put up with a lot.  And we've heard this type of thing before, only to be disapointed.

I believe these are all people that would love to play the game - if it ever came out.

Warhammer for sure!  Unless it's not out.  Then it'll be AOC.

On the non-fantasy side: I'll be playing Stargate Worlds.  It'll be the first non-fantasy MMO I've played - looking forward to it!

Make no mistake, these guys are going to be a major force.  There's a lot going on there...

Rest assured, it'll be delayed.  Games (almost) always are.  But, if it's for the right reasons, then it's a good thing.  MMO's take a long time to develop, but not as long as they used to.

No doubt that's what has happened here.  But it will die down eventually.  The good games will float to the top with a lot of votes over a long period of time.

It's not surprising at all, of course.  Many games get pushed back - it doesn't mean that there's something wrong.  Just, for some reason games get pushed back a lot.  You'd think they devs would tack on about 12 months from the time they think it should be done and announce that as the release date.

Unfortunately, this game is still pretty far off to get very excited.  However, I like the idea of it.  They've got some different things going, and that's always nice.

I hope this makes it.  Along with Stargate Worlds, this one seems to have the best potential out there.

Sad and pathetic, yes.  Able to get under my skin, no.  I'll buy this game when it comes out and judge solely for myself.  If I like it, then that's all that matters.

I definitely like the idea of creating worlds that aren't already in the lore that is Stargate.  After reading all of the details about the game, it is clear that the devs are working to stay true to the show.   However, why not make some worlds that are completely from scratch?  Almost like a new episode!  I love that idea and hope they take full advantage of being creative and developing brand new worlds, creatures, and stories (sounds like they are!).

I like 2D MMO's.  There's not enough quality ones.  I hope this one turns out great - looks to have potential.

I hadn't seen those videos yet, thanks for posting the link.  The in game footage looks amazing!

This looks like a great game.  The graphics are solid (not the best ever, but still very good).  I'm glad to hear that the folks in beta like because it seems like a fun one to play.

I hope it does well, I will definitely play this one.

Okay, I'm going to give this a try.  Hopefully I get in the beta.  Looks like it might be fun to play.
